Just want to share my experience. I have a maschinist rs9, e5 2697 v3 tbu, rebar, rx 7700xt. I deleted myself the patch code in mmtool. Flashed the bios with afu, 2x, it has to be 2 times. No undervolt. all cores 3.3 to 3.5. Starfield daily 3 hours on weekends 6, fps 56 to 75. I know that 2697 is a bit much for rs9 vrm, but ntil know everything looks good. Thank you for your videos and knowledge you share with us. Keep up the good work and goodluck to your family and yourself. Cheers.
Great video! I've been using my X99 8M-F with a Xeon E5 2640 v3 for 2 years now, TBUed thanks to your Mi899 app, thank you! Never had major issues with it (aside from it not recognizing my NVME on legacy mode, works over UEFI, but does not show any other boot devices, still haven't done the procedure you recommended a while ago XD). Just bought a GTX 1660 Super to pair with my new 27 1080p LCD (finally moved on from my CRT, which I still love, but ech...), and I noticed CPU bottleneck on some games. Was thinking about "upgrading" to a QD4 with either a E5 2666 v3 or E5 2667 v4, but tax situation here in Brazil won't quite allow it. I think I'll wait a year or so and finally move on from the platform altogether. Rumor has it 13th gen Intel or Ryzen 7000 CPUs do wonders for emulation in general, which is my main focus!
@@Miyconst Speaking of watts, I have no idea how much my 2640 v3 actually consumes, since the 8M-F has no sensors, but as per your video, it might be topping at the 90W on paper, even with -50mv TBU, right? It's just that I sort of went for the GTX 1660 Super, aside from budget, so I could have a card that consumed pretty much the same as my GTX 960, which was 120W TDP (around 100W in reality, stock clocks). I was surprised at this 1660 Super reaching it's TDP very fast, sometimes going upwards to 130W, and of course, temps followed suit, but not the clocks. It's supposed to reach around 1920MHz, though it kept itself at around 1830~1800MHz under load, at about 73°C. So I had to learn undervolting, and got the on paper 1785MHz at 0.868v, ~105W at most with 60~62°C. I'm happy with it, because as I said, CPU bottleneck. But apparently the 1660 Super was supposed to reach much higher clocks with less volts, though of course this is a Veineda card, with an unknown BIOS that might be tempered to conserve shady components. Everytime I tried one of those tutorials, it became quite unstable...
If any of you are wondering, the Jia Hua Yu dual X99 c612 motherboard bios' can be replaced with the Jginyue X99-D8 turbo unlock bios by flashing within the Mi899 software.
Hi, just wanted to report some feedback, I just downloaded your mi899 tool and flashed my machinist x99 pr9 with your - 70/50mv bios. My e5 2667 v3 now boosts to 3,6gh on all 8 Cores. Worked like a charm on first try. Thank you very much!
@@SvenHeidemann-uo2yl thanks for the answer my friend, last question, knowing that you have the b85 chipset, on the mi899, you selected the machinist x99 PR9 motherboard with the Z97 chipset, you flashed the bios YOUR PEI -70/50mv and it worked correctly, is that right?
This also works on E3-12xx CPUs. My previous music production PC had a Xeon E3-1230v3 and it ran at its 3.7ghz turbo frequenty 24/7 on an ASRock H87 board.
Yeah, the voltage/heat issue was too much for my system. I couldn't get TBU stable at a few different settings, and having had my previous board die on me, I just gave up rather than take any more risks. I already have some DDR4 2400 in my system, so I'll probably just get a v4 CPU next. My friend's system that I unlocked for them is still going strong with an e5-2640 v3, though.
My x99H motherboard unlocked it with a 2670v3 using your method and I put a 2667v4 and it's been running normally for six months now, I didn't reverse the unlock boost I just changed the processor
I did a similar thing but using 2690V3 then bought a 2680V4 and installed that. Runs almost 10 DegC low temp but 14 cores. Very nice upgrade and ultra stable. Only issue is Wifi M.2 slot seems to not work after a while but I used the PCIe slot for another wifi card and that is reliable. Great machine at obscene prices...
Thanks for the info. Apparently the V4 compatibility with TBU also depends on the BIOS mod option and motherboard itself. In my case it did not boot at all.
Hello, I recently bought an X99H motherboard from Tecmiyo Store and to my surprise, the model with the c612 chipset arrived. This motherboard has 4 SATA 3.0 and 4 USB 3.0 ports and is quad channel. If you want, I can share the bios to include in the Mi899.
Can you tell where and how to unlock in AMIBCP: -RAM timings -Fan control (changing values in BIOS smart fan does not change speed of CPU fan) -re-sizable bar Thanks a lot, great content
Hi Miyconst. Thanks for your great videos. i've watched a lot of your video before settling on this cheap X99-p4 motherboard. It doesn't have any brand on it but i suspect it's a machinist x99-p4. it's probably the cheapst x99 motherboard in the market. I paired it with a e5 2670 v3 at first. when i ran passmark on it, i was surprised to see the cpumark score was around 11400 , whereas on their web the figure is 13800. so i ordered a new cpu e5 2686 v4 which on passmark web listed the score as a little over 20,000, but on this motherboard i got only around 15,000. Is this normal for this particular m/b? or do i get a bad unit? but everything runs fine and smooth with no issue, except that the cpu seems to be limited somehow. do you have any suggestions?
I have not tested this motherboard yet, thus I can't comment on your particular unit but you need to make sure that the CPU behaves and turbos as it should, also enable high performance profile in Windows.
Honestly, the Chinese manufacturers should just put the turbo unlock in the BIOS'es by default, even if there are in-OS changes to be made later as well.
Hey miyconst. I have been watching a LOT of your motherboard reviews. I have two e5 2699v3 and I want to make two systems out of them. What motherboard supports quad channel memory but also has a good power delivery system for turbo unlock hack? I was lookimg at the x99-F8. Or x99-TF
X99-F8 and X99-TF are the same motherboard just different memory configuration. If you don't need DDR3 and DDR4 support, then just go with X99-F8, otherwise Machinist X99-MR9A is a good alternative.
I had an interesting experience today when trying to TU my MSI x99A Godlike. Turboboost is completely disabled once the modded BIOS is flashed back. Spent the day fiddling with BIOS settings to try and get it working, but to no avail. Even went as far as starting with the initial revision of the BIOS that came with this board in case they had applied a fix to prevent the hack from working, but the result is the same. Zero turboboost at all. The 2696 V3 CPU is stuck at 2.3GHZ no matter what load I put on it. Never would've thought that an AliExpress board would be better than a branded one. The reason why I was interested in trying the TU hack on this board is because it has the ability to change the BCLK. Modifying the BCLK settings did work, just they mean nothing without turboboost. Any idea what would cause Turbo boost to be completely disabled? The setting is of course enabled in the BIOS.

Hello, I have such a problem, today I received the Machinist RS9 X99, with the H87 chipset. Could you tell me if it is possible to unlock Turbo Boost with a 2697V3 processor?
I'm using the 50mv undervolt bios on a 2697, HWINFO shows 3.6 all core, but with the TDP limit its possible that although the core may be speeding up ito MAX, it is probably not being fully loaded. I will experiment with disabling SMT and see if there is any change in 3dmark etc. I should look through my x99 boards to see which ones i can unlock by hand I already have one bricked machnist rs9.
@@Miyconst I have one I'm working on it :) Do I have to de-solder the bios chIp? The testing clamp is smaller than the winbond chip on this Rs9. DIP 8 vs SOP 8.
What are the actual gains in games? Different cpus are always compared against each other but what is the actual frame rate difference between a base cpu and the same cpu over clocked?
You have an 6800XT am i right ? I have one and i use the AFMF = Driver based Frame Generation Driver with a l l DX11/DX12 / Vulcan Games , it allows you to doubble the FPS in Games as long as you have at least 60-70 FPS as Base FPS = you will get ~ 120-130 FPS . It wont work well with multiplayer online Shooter Games like CSGO but normal Games witout fast mouse moving will work well . The best is , it does not need the CPU = even if you are in a CPU Limit you get doubble the FPS . Its not meant to push 20 FPS to 40 FPS because it will still feel like < 20 FPS . It would be interresting to see how it performs with X99 and Xeon V3/V4 , i guess it would make the Multicore Boost hack nearly pointless because it does not matter that much if you get 120 FPS with v4 and 140-150 with V3 + hack
I no longer have the RX 6800XT but I have RX 6700XT and RX 7900XT. The fake frames I don't like, maybe in the future when AI gets strong enough to predict the next frame it will be ok but for now it just irritates me.

With DXVK you can even run DX9 Games if they can run with the DXVK D3d9.dll ruclips.net/video/R4b2jlNwyGE/видео.html Its still Beta , they just release a new one . Actually undervolting cpu does not stress VRM more, because for haswell cpus the vrm provides steady 1.8V, which then gets converted to lower voltage within the cpu itself.
Hm.. then it might be the CPU VRM that pulls even more power with the same TDP and lower voltage, but wattmeter from the wall doesn't lie, reducing voltage with TBU increases power consumption.
You can overvoltage the VCCIn, stock at 1.8v but with overvoltage, you can go up to 1.95v, will deliver the same power but with lower current, will stress less the motherboard VRMs and stress more the CPU FIVR (VRM Integrated in CPU, wich lowers the VCCIn voltage to VCore, VCache, etc.) and will cause more heat in CPU. Overvolting VCCIn is a overclocking technique to improve stability and stress less motherboard VRMs.
Amazing work. My machinist board is a X99-PR8-H. Its not listed in the images or bios folders. Does that mean its not supported? Has anyone reading this comment tried this turbo unlock for 2676 v3 on x99 pr8-h mobos?
Hello, running 2673v3 for a several years, not TBU. Going to "update" to 2680v4(14cores,120tdp,turbo only 2.9ghz instead 3.3ghz). Do you have tested, how many cores must be disabled to reach full turbo clock speed on the rest of them? Assuming slight undervoltage alone is not enought.
So in which condition will Cpu reach marketed 3.2ghz turbo? Only at some single core applications? Undervolting here will change nothing evel lower PC powerconsumption(when cpu clock will not change)?@@Miyconst
I just swapped out my E5-2670v3 on my Machinist X99-RS9 (using the Huananzhi X99-8MF TBU bios) that has been running well for years. I put in a E5-2690v4 and the system boots fine without reflashing the bios. The E5-2690v4 is running fine with this bios and all cores are boosting to 3.2ghz during a stress test (listed max turbo boost is 3.5ghz for this cpu). Is this expected? I didn't realize that the E5-2600v4s do not support TBU but I'm unsure what the cores should be running at (base clock for the E5-2690v4 is 2.6ghz, not 3.2ghz). Seems strange that they are running at 3.2ghz?
This is the expected behavior of E5-2690 V4 and I have already got multiple reports that TBU BIOS works with V4 Xeons, so yeah, I was wrong there, it's not always required to reflash the BIOS.
So from my understanding, an e5 2680 v4 will consume less overall power consumption than even an e5 2620/2640 v3 TBU due to less vrm load and thus being a safer pick especially for the cheaper end of x99 motherboards. Would you say this is a correct assumption or is the difference negligible on these lower v3 xeons
Hello, great video and thank you. I have two questions though. First i understand that there is the possibility for the cpu to work with the hack without undervolting, correct or not? I may boost lower but still higher than the non hacked bios and fully stable. Secondly will you be kind enough to translate in English the small screen is S3turbotool that sets the voltages? Does your Asus Board on the video got better VRAM temperature comparing with the chinesse ones when you do undervollting? did you got some test videos of that board!? Thanks in Advanced!
Any branded motherboard has better VRM than the Chinese ones. From my experience the MSI boards are the easiest to mod for TBU. The Asus board from the video I sold long ago.
I have had excellent results with the HuananZhi X99TF with both 2696v3 and 2678v3. Insofar as a CPU preference, 2969v3 takes the cake. It's price-wise very compelling (at under USD45) and is marginally better than 2699v3 given a slightly higher turbo boost (3.8Ghz vs 3.6Ghz). Unlike 2699v3 (DDR4 only), the 2696v3 also supports either DDR3 or DDR4. Basically, the 2969v3 is an OEM specified variant of 2699v3.
ASUS is the best. You only need to removed microcode update from BIOS. Max multiplier and voltages are set from the bios. No need dxe, ffs, efi or other similar crap. Supposedly Gigabyte works the same way (I can confirm only ASUS though). ASRock and MSI are the worst for turbo boost unlock and not recommended, but they are good for Core i7 or 1660v3 and ok but not perfect for v4.

Hi Miyconst. I am wondering if you can give me some basic advice on an issue. I have a Xeon E5-2696 V3 and Asus X99 A-II motherboard. I did turbo boost unlock, but the computer will freeze after 10 to 20 minutes of use if I set cache ratios anywhere from 20 - 31 or Auto but if I set them down to 15 then the computer is stable. I tried everything to resolve this issue, even bought a second processor and motherboard but it still happens. Asus auto overclocking is turn off. I tried adding cache voltage, added system agent voltage, added ram voltage. I turned off fast boot, tried different bios versions and tried many other things but I can’t figure out how to resolve this issue. Do you have any thoughts or advice? The issue doesn’t happen if turbo boost unlock is not used. I disabled C3 and C6 states, also tried just disabling one or the other.
@@Miyconst Yeah first I had it set on high performance but then enabled Ultra performance power setting. With the Asus board I can change pretty much any setting. I spoke to some people with Asus boards and they don’t have this issue. It could be a ram compatibility issue. I noticed if I use less ram sticks I can get more stable with a higher cache ratio set. So it seems it’s a cache bus strain or some kind of voltage issue that’s related to cache even though I played with cache voltage but it didn’t help it.
@@Miyconst I figured it out. It's because ASUS uses an X99 Overclock socket, which causes the stock cache voltages to actually be too high. So I had to undervolt the cache voltages to -.070 to get it to become stable. -.050 undervolt wasn't enough.
I have a jingsha x99m-g2 that appears in your program, the problem is that it only appears with bios Q85 and I have bios Q87, would there be problems installing Q85? Thank you for your time and sorry for the translator google.

I guess I need to change the bios - can you point out which one has these options? Honestly, I lost hope that there will be a bios with ReBAR for X99-TF in mi899 :)
I can add the ReBar + TBU BIOS for X99-TF to Mi899, but the BIOS is from iEngineer, so it has to be flashed with an external programmer, can't be flashed with Mi899. In your case you can use the AMIBCP app to explore the PCI-E settings and enable Above 4G Decoding.
Would be great! If you post a bios with TBU and ReBAR, I would buy an external programmer. On the other hand, I remember that I once flashed the BIOS from IEngineer using Mi899, it was the "Belarus Edition" or something like that...

@@Miyconst any sources that i could follow? i’m really struggling with finding anything since. i’m quite new to pc’s and this is quite complicated to me
Too many inaccuracies. You don't need external programmer for brand name motherboards. It's almost impossible to brick ASUS X99 with BIOS flashback feature or ASRock X99 with dual bios. FPT reads and writes BIOS region without any problems on any brand name motherboards. ME region is locked, but you don't need to touch it for turbo boost unlock. Even though Ultimate Patcher tool bricks 8-series or 2XX boards very often, but not always. There are bioses out there that work. It bricks by the way X99/C612 very often too, but not as often as 8X/2XX.
You are welcome to make a video and tell about the inaccuracies but I don't see how your info contradicts mine. Some branded motherboards have BIOS flash back to unbrick itself, but far from all motherboards have it, FPT may be able to flash some branded boards, but most are locked for BIOS write and certainly protected from modded BIOS write. Programmer is required if you flash BIOS that's completely different from the original.
@@MiyconstI've never seen any branded motherboard for haswell/broadwell CPUs with locked bios-region. I tested myself ASUS X99 Deluxe, X99/A II, X99/A USB3.1, X99 Deluxe II, ASRock X99 Taichi, X99M/Killer/3.1, X99E-ITX/ac and never has any problems dumping bios with fptw64.exe -bios -d mybios.bin command and writing it back with fptw64.exe -bios -f mybios.bin Maybe branded X99 motherboards with locked bios exist, but it won't be very easy to find one. Agree for completely different one, but I don't think that anyone will do it, as it doesn't make sense to flash full dump of MSI bios to ASUS or vice versa. Usually you dump your own bios, modify it and flash back.
I've been following you for 2 years, your work is amazing

@Miyconst 350w ish haha, power is cheap here it's ok

Can i set -70/50mv on my 2640 v3/PR9 ? Or should i set another value?
You certainly can but it's not guaranteed to work. The safe(r) value is -50/50mv.

What are the actual gains in games? Different cpus are always compared against each other but what is the actual frame rate difference between a base cpu and the same cpu over clocked?
It really depends on the CPU. Some gain a lot others a little.
@@Miyconst It depends on the Game , its not perfect but with a VRR Monitor its OK
In Jedi fallen Order it works fine ruclips.net/video/y_cQ9AoSfgU/видео.html , you must use AMDs Performance Overlay , MSI Afterburner would only measure the FPS from the Game Engine and not the added Frames from the Driver . With DXVK you can even run DX9 Games if they can run with the DXVK D3d9.dll ruclips.net/video/R4b2jlNwyGE/видео.html
Its still Beta , they just release a new one .
I wont play with the 2680v4 + Jinsha D8i + 128 GB ECC reg Ram for just 213 Euro ( + 50 Euro import Tax ) , i will use it as a NAS , the 40 Lanes are usefull there , i hope i can Bifurcation get to work , does it work with the I engineer Bios ? I guess it should , its X99 + C612
@@Miyconst It may be attributed to lower efficiency then. Good to know.
@@TrentoneLightning does disabling HT reduce temps/power consumption?
@@zzzide yes
You can overvoltage the VCCIn, stock at 1.8v but with overvoltage, you can go up to 1.95v, will deliver the same power but with lower current, will stress less the motherboard VRMs and stress more the CPU FIVR (VRM Integrated in CPU, wich lowers the VCCIn voltage to VCore, VCache, etc.) and will cause more heat in CPU.
Overvolting VCCIn is a overclocking technique to improve stability and stress less motherboard VRMs.

It doesn't work that way, E5-2680 V4 won't achieve full turbo even if you disable cores and reduce voltage.
So in which condition will Cpu reach marketed 3.2ghz turbo? Only at some single core applications? Undervolting here will change nothing evel lower PC powerconsumption(when cpu clock will not change)?@@Miyconst
@@MotortunePhoB E5-2680 V4 almost never reaches the 3.2 GHz frequency under normal usage because these days even Windows is multi-threaded.
I think it would be around the same if you compare to the lower core count models. Also keep in mind that DDR4-2400 will be a bit more power hungry.

ASRock and MSI are the worst for turbo boost unlock and not recommended, but they are good for Core i7 or 1660v3 and ok but not perfect for v4.

Stupid question, but... What if I do it and later upgrade to V4 CPU? Is motherboard not going to recognize those cpus anymore? I know that turbo bug will be gone, what wbout vcore offset?
The V4 CPUs will most likely just ignore the TBU hack but I also had cases when the motherboard failed to boot.
can I switch back to Original bios, if i face error sir?

Can I put JGINYUE X99-8D4/2.5G motherboard bios on my jingsha-x99-d8-dual motherboard

Mr Rahmani
I have absolutely no clue, sorry.
Which one is better for gaming? turbo unlocked 2640 v3 or 2640 v4?
E5-2640 V3 with TBU is better.
It could be an Asus specific issue, hard to tell. Did you enable high performance profile in Windows?
@@ChidiOable great job figuring it out!
I have a jingsha x99m-g2 that appears in your program, the problem is that it only appears with bios Q85 and I have bios Q87, would there be problems installing Q85? Thank you for your time and sorry for the translator google.
I cannot guarantee that the BIOS is compatible because Chinese always change the motherboard internals but in general Q85 and Q87 are mutually compatible.
Can anyone help me with activating the resizable bar on x99-TF?
I have a problem because I can't find the "above 4g decoding" option in the BIOS. I don't have all the "PCI subsystem settings"...
On the other hand, I remember that I once flashed the BIOS from IEngineer using Mi899, it was the "Belarus Edition" or something like that...
is there a board that has already been modeled to buy to save the work? and which is the best gamin cpu for it greetings from germany
I am a bit lost. What do you mean by "modeled to buy"? Are you asking for a motherboard that comes with TBU applied? I am not aware of such.
@@Miyconst sorry that I express myself so badly my english is not the best there are motherboards that are already delivered with the bios unlocked so that I can use e.g. an e5 2696 v3 without changing the bios myself

Hmmm I am using -90-60 for my 2697v3. So far no issue.
I'm not sure if it is good or bad going that low. Or i should use -70-50 instead?

If you have a good CPU then why not? As long as the system is stable and cooling is sufficient - you are fine.

Where did you find this undervolt settings? My system works fine, no blue screen until now.

After discovering your channel, I decided to buy a Chinese X99 motherboard. I ordered a Machinist X99 RS9 from China but received a JUXIESHI X99 RS9 motherboard. It came with a free E5-2670V3. Are you familiar with this board? I dumped the current BIOS using both FPT and with AfuWin. I get different sizes BIOS from both ( 16,384 KB and 8192 KB, respectively). I tried to use S3TurboTool on both these dumped BIOS'es but at the part to inject TBU driver, there is no PchS3Peim with UID 271DD6F2-54CB-45E6-8585-8C923C1AC706 anywhere. What does that mean? Any ideas? I do not want to try an incomplete hacked BIOS until I ask you. What do the xx-50-50 in the ffs files mean? Thank you in advance.

Hi is the Mi899 works on dell T5810? I have a t5810 with a 2697 v3 and would have liked to TBU it and undervolt it.
No. Dell T5810 must be manually flashed.
@@Miyconst Thank you so much. Found your guide on the t5810. There I see a bios with the specs 50/50 ffs. Is that the best for the 2697v3 as I see you mention 70/50 on this video. Is that available elsewhere?
Just to say I resolved this after I found your guide so managed to splice the 70/50/50 driver in my bios as per your guide. One thing to consider is that when I tried modding the C-states it wouldn't work for me so after the 06F2 deletion went straight to the inject the driver. Very impressed with the result. Getting 6800 in CPUID bench. Super work to have all the tools and guide. Also first time for me to mod a bios...

This is hard to diagnose. I would recommend to make a bootable Memtest86 USB stick and validate all your memory sticks one by one, then start putting them together. It could be that the motherboard traces are not good enough, it could be that your memory is defective, also could be that the CPU memory controllers are not strong enough.
no errors on the memories..no errors on pcb..is strange...theres any way to upload the bios ive got so you can see if anithing is wrong?i did the undervolt on the bios....i try all dims..one by one...doestn matter the order...if i put all dims together it freeze when boot to windows...but with 64gb is fine....i think is somethjing n bios...can you tell me how i can upload my bios to you please, apart of screenshots of typhoon burner?best regards.cheers
@@almalaga3924I am sorry to say but I don't think it's BIOS, most likely either CPU or motherboard can't withstand such load. You can load into Windows with one stick, check it's timings, then manually enter the most relaxed values, reboot to see if it works, then install other sticks and see if that helps. Anyway, my Discord is the way for such trouble shooting.
I just to make sure if I have understood you correctly. Are you saying that E5-2680 V4 could not be unlocked? Z440.

Could you do a Xeon E5-2696 v3 vs Xeon E5-2686 v4. Since they are basically the same cpu but one is haswell the other broadwell. Both support ddr3 and ddr4.
Would be interested in power consumption idle vs non idle and tu and no tu.
Would be nice to have a 1 on 1 comparison of the V3 vs V4 cpu. This would be a great benchmark since they are the exact same cpu.
E5-2686 V4 supports DDR3?? This is something new. I will see what I can do.
@@Miyconst I also made another comment but it got deletet? Can you still read it? It had 2 links. I am gonna comment them seperate from this comment.
So 1 link is about the wikipedia acrticle. It said that both the eon E5-2696 v4 and eon E5-2686 v4 support ddr3 and ddr4.
The other link is linking to a intel website. These 2 cpu seem strange. I am not very sure they support ddr3. Maybe wikipedia is wrong but it would seem like a weird error. Why would they say that 2 cpu's support ddr3 and ddr4 if they didn't.
A intel page hints that both these cpu's are not ordinary. You also won't find the 2 CPU's on intels website as they explain.
Anyway finding out whether any of these 2 cpu's work with ddr3 on any board would be interesting.
Thx for the reply. I appreciate it.
btw. it's a shame the chinese make no boards for E7 V4 Cpu's that would be really cool.
E5-2686 V4 has pathetic max 3 GHz turbo and that means that under load the frequency will be way below that. In other words, TBU E5-2696 V3 will wipe the floor with it. Also, I couldn't find any reliable source specifying that DDR3 is supported.
For Dell T5810 to flash bios i need programator?

I tested myself ASUS X99 Deluxe, X99/A II, X99/A USB3.1, X99 Deluxe II, ASRock X99 Taichi, X99M/Killer/3.1, X99E-ITX/ac and never has any problems dumping bios with fptw64.exe -bios -d mybios.bin command and writing it back with fptw64.exe -bios -f mybios.bin
Maybe branded X99 motherboards with locked bios exist, but it won't be very easy to find one.
Agree for completely different one, but I don't think that anyone will do it, as it doesn't make sense to flash full dump of MSI bios to ASUS or vice versa. Usually you dump your own bios, modify it and flash back.
I just could imagine your channel with budget of major HW channels...
