Check out Dawid’s Gaming PC! - ruclips.net/video/q_VMl4wDJlQ/видео.html
LINOOOOOOODE
I want to get a Gaming PC for myself. What do you think is best for me? I like playing I like playing Grand Theft Auto games.
@@michaelcaywood6070 Dawid uses GTA for his benchmarking. Go watch some videos. Take the GTA "Recommended" system spec requirements and shoot for that or better.
You missed the 6600m you could get for 177 usd
Great job guys! Great job against one, "really stupid guy". 🤣
It’s actually very convenient that both our PSUs ended up not working, it makes scoring so much easier. 😂 In terms of performance, even though I had an RTX 2060, you guys still beat me in two of the three tests. Great video! And thanks for the challenge.
Luckily that sketchy power supply didn't fry everything in the system, props to you for plugging it in without hesitation though
Your powerful gpu got u higher score in cp2077 doe
I was surprised that you both came out under budget…. Six months ago and both builds would have had something like GT 210 in them
I'm Canadian so I have a bias but if it helps, both of the systems suck. Dawid's CPU is past due date, Toasty Bros GPU is a destined for a Value village bin near you. Together, they would make a decent 3 year gaming solution.
Hey dawid
Dawid wins in my opinion, for 2 main reasons:
1: He tried his sketchy PSU
2: He put in a single image at the end to show us all the results side by side.
These guys also don't know what a Switch Mode power supply is.
Dawid also didn't need help putting a frame case together either. Really guys? Dawid wins just for that.
I love that when each team was presented with a sketchy hazard in power supply form -- Dawid chose to immediately plug his in and use it without testing.
Classic Dawid
It's a little different when it's 220 vs 115 though, in America there's no way I would use that power supply
Dawids didn't work conveniently
@@Durkhead yeah thankfully.. considering he forgot to peel the plastic from the cpu cooler-- id say its a blessing it didnt post lol
You know, David likes living on the dangerous edge
Dawid had a courage to use his questionable PSU, so imo he wins.
Go out with the psu like a true pc pioneer
The psu will pop if they use it. I tried plugging in a Xbox from U.S. into 220 outlet and it popped and never worked again. Also same thing happened with audio monitors I bought from u.s. because I forgot to plug it in the 110 plug on the AVR
@@boomshaka918 yeah but that's not the same with the other way around. You gave 220v to a 120v component ... If you only give 120v to a 220v, it doesn't cause any explosion or burns anything. Just won't work, or won't work well enough ...
Courage and stupidity, It's a VERY THIN line between the two.🤔
@@boomshaka918 In this case, putting less voltage into a product designed to handle MORE voltage will not make it pop.
Dawid brought me here, And I wasn't dissapointed, Great video Bros
Same
same lmao
same
Ditto
Ditto 😁
I'll just give Dawid the win, just because his PC is in a REAL case!
I'm giving the W to Dawid. He had the better PC and he presented his benchmarks in a more legible way.
Yeah... That was ridiculously lazy by them, god damn.
@@kristoffer3000
"So this is a frame case that we have to build on our own, we'll have the picture here.." *frames the camera to give room for the editor to edit the pic in*
Editor: *does nothing*
Me: What the fuck is this lazy ass video
My PC is pretty much all aliexpress and it's generally fantastic to use. Xeon E5 2673v3, Jingsha X99 board, 32gb ddr4 and an rx570. I had the gpu/case/psu already so the whole thing cost me around $300cdn to put together and the fact I generally have zero issues editing 4k60 video from my DJI Action on it smoothly and rendering in a fair amount of time I think that $300 was well spent
I got a mini itx linux htpc with an alliexpress b85 mobo and a alliexpress gt1030 and I have both zero issues with the shipping or the products themselves. I feel like youtubers tend to go for the sketchy listings for entertainment purposes.
Mine is also all Aliexpress (except the case) and it workes flawlessly 2 years later, even though I'm trashing it by 3D rendering for days at a time.
If you know where to look you can get some serious savings from Ali.
Which editing software do you use for your dji videos?
@@motomd19Trash pc, trash PFP as well.
@@cessnacitation-x that's a bit uncalled for. You okay? Have a bad day?
'Switching power supply' is the specific mechanism for stepping down the input voltage, almost any pc PCU is a switching supply. It's not the same as multi-voltage input.
Yeah there are very few PSU's that are voltage specific on the input side, the only modern one I know of is a coolermaster MWE that is only 230v, won't work on US/JPN etc 120v. The older stuff had a switch on the back to change between 120 and 240v.
There are plenty of china-only 230v PSUs. As I said, it's not 'switching' vs. single voltage, it's switching power supply versus linear power supply - just one of those random technical terms you see in chinese item descriptions, like always calling microsd 'transflash'. You only tend to see linear PSUs in like those laboratory benchtop units.
while that is true - the correct term is switch mode, as opposed to linear. Switching is what you do when you want to spice up your relationship...
@@lucidnonsense942 Few actually use that term though. Nearly every tech I know simply says "Switching ".
Yeah I'm genuinely concerned that people that buy and sell computer hardware don't know that...it's an automatic DNF and "welp, not following this channel for tech info" for me.
Dawid's CPU severely handicapped him. You both came in well under budget. Both had PSU issues. I'd say it's a pretty close race given your SSD issues as well. His is a more traditional computer, yours is a lot more unique. Hard to declare a winner. Yours has much more headroom with just a GPU upgrade though, so probably the overall better PC. Really fun challenge!
P.S. Dawid sent me. Fun channel too!
would say a GPU upgrade from an "ex mining" Ali for the "remaining" budget would fill that build out nicely VS Davids one has a CPU upgrade away from being "good"
@@jasonriddell Solid.
Dawid wins as you can't match his entertainment level.
Dawid had to use a different power supply as well lol
You put the NVMe ssd in the wrong slot, that machinist motherboard has 2 slots for SSD's one for M.2 Sata (the one you have your nvme plugged into) and the other slot, lower, which is now hidden by your GPU cooler, is where the NVMe slot is. Put the NVMe in that slot and it will detect.
I was literally screaming that at the screen.
I love it when the professionals make mistakes
@@lynndragon2536 but they’re not professionals the RUclipsrs 😂
The thing about wish is it’s like a scam loot box website but aliexpress is a normal market like eBay or Amazon
It’s not fair to compare them
I watch you and Dawid, and both of you have given me confidence to attempt at building my own pc
just stay away from ali express or wish XD
You got this dude!
It's pretty easy, just intimidating.
Thanks for all the encouragement, I've been eyeing an optiplex I want to spice up.
That's true! I feel the same way.
The biggest thing is building a new PC today, you pretty much have to put effort into breaking something in the process of building/upgrading. My first experience doing anything with a PC was in 1998, which was replacing my graphics card on my gateway computer. I managed to brick my PC. I don't know what happened. Powered the PC after the switch there was a "zap" sound and it was dead, no fan spins no nothing on a restart attempt. Fortunately, PC was still under warranty, put the old video card back in "claimed the PC just stopped working" and shipped it back.
I'm assuming they struggled to diagnose the issue themselves, because it was quite evident they just sent me a new PC back. Being all for making the same mistake twice, I took the SAME gpu and installed it again. This time everything was fine, lol.
My first full PC build in 2000 I was an anxious mess. It was hard for me to do certain things because my hands were shaking.
Here is what I would suggest for a first time PC builder to alleviate anxiety over screwing something up. Go on facebook marketplace or something find someone selling an old computer for cheap (you might have a use for say as a media PC or something or just to have sitting around, whatever). I'm talking old, something that costs an amount of money you don't care if its thrown down the toilet. IDEALLY something that doesn't use proprietary parts, like someones old gaming build from like 2008. Buy it. Get it and take it fully apart and re-assemble it purposely not trying to be overly careful. This should instill some confidence in you when doing your build having that experience under your belt.
Great idea to do this competition! Both videos and systems are nice. Good job guys.
I gotta say, this is probably one of the best vids y'all have done in a while, the editing has been on point, right amount of shitposting and memes.
Turns out neither party ended up using their fire-causing power supplies. It's like it's something not to cheap out on, or something.
ITS DAWID
IT FINALLY HAPPENED
Imo, I think you 2 should have collaborated more on testing. You guys played different games that Dawid did. I think to be a truly fair comparison, you should have all played the same games, same maps, same settings, and so forth. Ironically, It seems your 1660 PC is beating Dawid's PC. But, that is 100% the CPU issue as his was not as good as yours. So, hands down, your PC is better but in future videos where you do competitions like this from different places and test the systems, I would like to see more collaboration and equal testing to really and truly see which PC would be better. Not just in gaming, but also in performance and rendering as well.
smart move on not trying to use that 220v PSU. Pretty sure it would end up in a small scale Hindernburg reenactment.
Also, on that note, Dawid's psu was also dead, so you both ended up having to switch power supplies hahaha
I guess that dodgy psus are a super common factor in these builds.
Nope, worst case scenario is that was a 220v only PSU was not going to work (or even turn on) or just not properly. Using a 120v PSU on 220v is going to give you a explosion but not the other way around.
Both videos were great. The winners are your audiences. Thanks for sharing, so we don't have to buy from Wish or Aliexpress. Nope.
Honestly, Toasty wins as they did have a much CPU and probably better upgrade paths whilst Dawid's PC will DEFINITELY need an overhaul before year's end given that bad 4 core part. In addition, I remember that the NVME on these boards do have a quirk on them in which the top NVME is the SATA based one whilst the bottom is the actual NVME itself.
Honestly if they traded gpus they’d each have pretty balanced systems
I watch both of you, but I live a whole heck of a lot closer to you. If I ever get down to one of the stores I to tier II support for down in the Jeffersonville area, I have permission to take an extended lunch to check out your store. Alas, the closest I've been is Scottsburg. It's either that, or I take off one Saturday and leave my wife to watch the kids, and that may not go well.
Love the content! I just saw Dawid's video and between you guys and him, I'd say it's a tie. Each of you had power supply issues, but he decided to test his in the build. Each had frustration issues, but that is experienced when buying things from wish and ali express. Either way, good job on each of you guys and would love to see more videos like this.
thank you guys for the competition, it was fun to watch!!!
Toasty bros don’t know what the term “switching power supply means?”
I’m pretty shocked
WE NEEDED THIS COLLAB
Great content, good job!👍
Does anyone know what program they use to get the frames and the.temp.and the percentage of usage
What if you made a gaming pc case from a 3D printer, I thought that’s what this video was at first😂
Seeing my two favorite tech RUclipsrs together in a challenge definitely made my day
So the takeaway from both videos is that everyone should buy their PSU's locally.
And as someone who's been scammed for buying a GPU from both Ali and Wish, I'm genuinely surprised you both received what was advertised.
Not sure if that motherboard was like my old one, but I had to mess with jumpers on the board when I used an x79 motherboard, there was jumpers near mine that I had to change around to get an nvme or sata m.2 to be detected in bios/windows.
Lol so best take away is "don't buy power supplies off either site you guys both had problems"
My favorite builds to do. Love using these types of parts.
I do like the case(ish) thing you fellas had to put together. It would make a good bench tester.
I was going to say, it looks like a glorified open-air test bench. Which is kind of bad for the purpose of this build, but it should be awesome for future testing.
Now, you need to take all the best parts and make one monstrosity and challenge Linus Tech Tips.
Amazing, thanks guys
These older Xeons are really underrated. My video editing setup is using dual Xeon E5-2697v2s (24 cores, 48 threads), and it runs 48 PCIe lanes so the graphics card and hardware RAID controller run at full speed all the time. It's lightning fast, and videos I've seen comparing these CPUs to current gen i9s are really surprising.
I have very old xeon as well but the issue with those are power consumption
This is awesome! I had no idea Seth Rogan built PCs!
Nice build!
not sure if that was mentioned before,i own a chinise x99 board and in order to use the NVME there is some jumper on mainboard you need to change otherwise it wont read the nvme.
Anyone know where they got that laptop skin at the start of the video from?
I hope someone helps me out I got a sky tech blaze 2 I was wondering is I could put a liquid cooler in it I already upgraded my ram and gpu just wondering if it can use a liquid cooler HELPPPP!!!
rx6600m would be a banger for this kind of build... It's a laptop gpu die on a pcb it works like a normal Rx6600 + it has like 8gb vram.
What is that benchmark overlay you use in the games?
Hey! I know am late but what did the system cost?
Its kinda cool seeing someone being good at the game while benchmarking.
When collab vids are done, i feel we should get a results vid where both produce the same vid to be published to both channels at the same time.
"Switching" power supply has nothing to do with 110/220 power switches. Switching describes the way the transformer inside makes the different voltage rails. There are several ways to do this but PCs and complex electronics generally require a switch-mode power supply, so that's why the term is used on the box. But it has nothing to do with the input voltage switch or the on/off power switch.
I love to see another one of my favorite RUclipsrs to pop up on your channel. You and Dawid are my go-tos.
If u used that PSU on a 120v the wires would probably get very hot. Would work but it wouldn't be safe, good call!
More than likely just won't even run (at least not run the PC, it may run the LEDs and fan), since it would be running on half the rectified B+ voltage than it is designed for, causing low voltage output. Speaking of... I might need to go check Dawid's PSU again to see if it was 100-240V or not, since that may have been the exact situation that led to his "definitely really 1000W" PSU to cause the system to fail to POST. Edit: Nope, lol it was 110/220. The "totally real" 1000W PSU was definitely at fault.
been watching both Dawid and Bros video long time ago, anyone here is the same ?
You didn't get a free screwdriver and screws with your memory. lmao
Thank you for a great video. I would have preferred either Hunanzhi, or Machinist motherboards. Thank you again for a good watch.
I was waiting for this video
Editor didn't give the purchases or what the frame case looked like in pics. Nice
lmao love how both strayed from the price HAHAHA
I suspect the term "switch" in the power supply you bought is referring to the fact that it is what is referred to as a "switch-mode power supply" or SMPS, the method that the power supply uses to convert AC to lower-voltage DC. It is completely superfluous to state this because to my knowledge essentially 100% of all computer power supplies are switch mode, unless you were to go all the way back to really early computers with linear transformers from the 1970s or early '80s.
What music did you use in the GTA V - Cinebench section?
Hi guys! Brilliant video! This was my first one and I directly subscribed to your channel. I have one question. Where can I buy this really good looking pc build desk mat? I love it!
You guys made a build with the MUSETEX MESH a while ago, and days later I bought it to make my first build. I am going to be making another personal computer and decided to go with this frame as well! I did not even know you guys made this vide before buying it. I got it on Amazon for $35 the other day.
i understand that you both want a video on your channel, would have been cool to have presentation to each other, seeing the reaction to what the other chose and if he got a good deal on it. some reaction to each other and maybe some banter. otherwise nice video. maybe would have been nice to see how you chose your parts, like do you just hope to not get scammed or are there some signs.
I was impressed with the XEON. The use % stayed low while the 1660 GPU was running high %.
Always reassuring when the case takes longer to build than the entire pc
The intro and video was unusual 😂😂😂😂
It wasnt until I saw a Lyte PC commercial during one of your videos that I realized you werent the same guy 😅
Bro what's that ram placement 💀
i have been using that aigo psu for a year and a half now it still not on fire, even with heavy over clock it still okay. been thinking for an upgrade
Pretty brave to enter the "Deathmatch Arena of Death!"
SWEET!!!!! Dawid is hilarious!
Dawid gets the win for having an actual case, and for having the stuff he ordered actually all arrive
need to do a coffee spill test to see which PC survives.
Hello I really enjoy your stream I learned a lot about computers now I have a question have you ever built or found a computer with two graphics cards if so can you tell me I appreciate it keep up the good work
In theory plugging a 240V power supply into a 110V outlet shouldn't do any harm, your voltages ( worse case) should be half, however plugging a 110V supply into a 240V outlet, BANG
Wow I had no idea you guys were local to me. I'll have to stop by the store soon!
The Murphy's Law PC build... love it
i am glad you both swaped out your psu but i dont think there is a clear winner you both did very well for buying from skechy buyers and it was fun to watch
Came here from Dawid's video. He wins just for presenting his benchmark results in a much more organized format. Your video, while entertaining, was very chaotic and had a thrown together feeling about it. Sad to say I won't be sticking around for more.
If an appliance that is rated for 220 Volts is plugged into a 110 Volt socket, it will not result in any violent explosions, but here are the outcomes:
A) Switching Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) devices like chargers will not have a problem as they are rated for a wide voltage range. They will work on a 110 Volt supply as effectively as they do so on a 220 Volt supply.
B) Resistive loads like heaters and incandescent lights and inductive loads like transformers and motors will get half the voltage and half the current, thus quarter the original power, which will result in them not functioning properly. Transformers that are being used for DC power supplies will have the DC power supplies giving lower voltages.
In case of the opposite: -
A 110 Volt device connected to 220 Volts, will result in violent explosions. The reason is that at double the voltage, there is double the current, therefore implying 4 times the original power. More power creates more heat and the inability to handle this extra heat will result in the resistive coil or the inductor winding breaking apart.
May have been fine, but good idea to not use the power supply.
Dawid wins on principle for going balls to the wall using his PSU untested.
How in the heck did you guys get a consistent color scheme? Pure coincidence I'm going to assume.
anyone know good gaming wireless mouse up to 100e?
Could you have put the SSD in the other slot?
Yeah, the other slot is the NVMe slot, they put their ssd in the wrong slot lol
back in Sept of 2021 I did a bundle purchase from AliExpress for a Kllisre x79 matx mobo w/xeon e5-2650 v2 w/ 16 gb ddr3-1333 ecc server ram. I had a used palit 8600gt in my stash of older parts. I'm using that x79 xeon build for my daily driver running Linux Mint 19.3, it's an office work based pc, and wasn't intended for gaming. Overall spent mayb $170 CAD for the bundle s/h included.
David wins hands down... Sure you may have had some more frames but only because David got stuck with a bottleneck cpu.. Over all he had better hardware (gpu, motherboard that actually works with Nvme and ram)...im sure if he tried a better cpu the results would have been much better... and something to take into account is the fact that he used an actual case and not a test bed..which refects better as a pc that one would have in most scenarios. Was fun to watch you both though...hoping for more like this...
I got a 120 Wovibo AIO and it keeps my Ryzen 5 under 65 at all times no matter the game or the settings, only time it went above 70 was during a render on 3dsmax.
I'd recommend Wovibo coolers to anyone.
I feel like we the viewers are the winners here. This was fun.
I've an aliexpress rig, twin xeon cpus(2 x 20core 40 thread) 128gb ddr3 server ram and a 1050ti seems to run OK 👍
Toasty Bros: **kills Vegeta as Goku** Nice
I love both channels so its a draw for me❤
You got Dawid's cat's assistant, Dawid!
Too bad you didn't get the star himself.🤷
I'm here for the garbage dump origami, as usual.
Have a great day!
The orange accents on the GPU match the cooler perfectly.
That's the Terminator that ain't no PC
Ali express is the only online stroe that ships to Albania and i can find the part you'd want to make a pc. And from all the parts, the pc case and psu had the most shiet purchase availabilty . Cases had around 200-300$ shipping or cost over 200$ +50$ shipping.. effin ridiculous.. and psus, they very almost no reputable brands there or were hella expensive . Either way, i made an inventory of making a pc only with ali express featuring a ryzen 5600x , b550m mobo and rx 6600 ( scetchy ) gpu for over 950$ with shipping. And this video doesnt make me more inclined to think of making that a reality. But in reality ,i can get a case and psu locally .
Just dont live in a 3d world country 16head !
I'll never be able to watch a TechTuber play Fortnite without imagining Steve from Hardware Unboxed swooping in and schooling them. xD Nice work, bros!
In the quest for a budget gaming build... I really dont think there is any comparison to just using the local secondary market, the deals I see getting found on all of these videos just cant compare, I mean, seriously... I bought a complete i9 9900K build with an RTX 2080 and 32Gigs ram off Craigslist last month for $500, granted, it was a lucky find, but it had been up for like a day when I snagged it and the guy said he still had it because people had been trying to lowball him EVEN LOWER
