I would go for a ryzen 5500 more cores for almost same price, just swap cpu for ryzen 5500 and board to a b550, games like warzone/fortnite are very cpu hungry, it will even cost you less, b550 boards with similar specs costs around 80$, ryzen 5500 97$, the rest of the build is fine as it is
@@DrezzarEC006 If you're going 5500 you can even shop b450 builds. 5500 can't use gen 4 pcie anyways and honestly for just gaming gen 4 isn't necessary so b450 will have the same upgrade path.
Bought my daughter a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 (2022 version) thanks to these guys. Easily upgraded to 16gb of DDR5 ram, plus a 1tb secondary m.2. Runs like a charm. Thank you gentlemen. My kid is happy.
I have been building gaming PC's for years. This may be the best build video I have seen in years. If my wife watched this and paid close attention I bet she could be her fist PC without my help. Great job boys.
Start with PSU and with cables not used. Take each 1 and fold and zip tie in smallest package possible. Take the cables you need and trial route them then bundle up the excess and zip tie that. Gets rid of that snake nest you got. Thermal paste, tighten down your fan and then take it back off. Look at paste coverage. If not happy, wipe fan and chip and try another pattern with high quality paste. Especially that skimpy line you put down in the upgrade.
Built this with 32GB ram, 2TBssd, Jonsbo Pisa A5 cooler and 750W power supply instead, and additional fan at top rear for $751.45 with tax. These upgrades were only for my satisfaction. Because the MB and GPU were slightly more cost at time of purchase, their exact build would have costed me slightly more than $660 with my state's tax. Good video and a great first build that more than suits my needs. I don't need the bragging rights of a more expensive build.
small but potentially important correction: around the 9:30-9:40 mark, jackson says that memory typically goes in slots 1 & 3 on most mobos. i believe he did this accidentally and meant to say 2 & 4 - the appropriate slots to use with two ram sticks on almost all current 4-slot boards, afaik.

You should definitely install the extra standoffs and screw down the right side of the motherboard. It provides support when plugging in and out that 24 pin PSU connector and other things so you do not stress the PCB. Yes, you can get by without them, but for the sake of making an instructional video, you should probably do it the right way. Since you'all seem to refurbish a lot of older PC's that have been refurbished for gaming by companies that don't always do a complete job refurbishing the PC, how about a video on cleaning and replacing BONE DRY thermal paste. Hey Toasty Bros. Trying to build, it Rather upgrade an old Dell for my daughter's son. I upgraded the Athlon to a 6300 FX I had, and 2 ripjaw 8gb sticks of RAM and a better cooler. Added a ssd for better read write speed and a 600w psu I had. Looking for a very very inexpensive car as I'm disabled and out of work. He really wants to play oblivion and this should work. But that Dell case is a hot box with only one 120 from fan, and a 80mm rear. Do you have ANYTHING in your stock?
Just quick question since I noticed that the DDR5 version of your mobo is only $20 more expensive; is there any reason you would suggest staying with DDR4 rather than DDR5? RAM price is nearly the same as well, any thoughts?
How many hz can I get from this setup? I’m wanting to get into pc gaming but I don’t want to break the bank. I play gps games like call of duty and apex. Would this setup work?

Not even gonna lie fellows I was in the video for 30 seconds and I subscribed immediately only because of the dragon ball Z T shirt lol.. And i'm trying to learn and build my own gaming p c..
You can also get internet from your phone using USB wire.
Does the motherboard have WiFi and Bluetooth or do you need to buy those things separately? The amazon reviews for it are terrible, and say it has WiFi issues…
start with the i5 no point in the i3 if planning on upgrading later. Please don't use stock cooler on a i5 20$ for a solid tower cooler is so worth it
Dont toss those graphics card case brackets.. You never know. I dont throw anything out for a few weeks until you know everything is working great.
5:53 was very satisfying.
I’m able to get 90fps in Cyberpunk in my setup; RX 6600, R5 5600X, B450 MB, I know this is overkill but 32gb @3200 mhz ram.
Not sure how comparable that i3 is to the 5600x though.
You are going to go ahead.
Keep up the budget slaps.
Can we get a vs build.
Your favorite build vs his favorite build.
1400$ budget 1440pneeded
I like PC builders 😊
Watching this video while planing on making a $1,500-$1,800 build
HDDs still have a big roll in storage and file servers. Just not for running your OS lol. I love my WD Reds.
This video was amazing 👏 bravo i think a 1080ti woulda been better tho it runs around 40 percent faster and is a fan favourite regardless thats for a top video
Nice build, tho if u cheap out on the motherboard for exemple MSI A520M PRO and the case, u can get it cheaper with RX6650 XT with at a even lower price.
Day 1 of asking can you have an i5 4570s overclocked with rx 580 4gb saphire without bottleneck
you can actually go cheaper and get a 5500x and 6650xt and upgrade to a 5800x3d and what gpu you want
I like to use i3 12100 none F version to troubleshoot the pc if the graphics card is bad its like 10 dollars more (in my market)
dissappointed no ryzen 4500. I dont know why everyone shils for the 12100f
Great build guide guys!
How do you watch roadkill you’re a computer guy?
Im having trouble figuring out which gaming PC I should get. A Victus desktop or a sketch blaze 3.0 desktop. Which one should I get?
