I think I can confidently say I've found my favourite RUclips channel for PC builds. The editing, music, lighting, and voice over are just perfect and welcoming to all levels of PC builders.
My girlfriend just got me everything I need to build this exact pc for my birthday 😭🙏. Everything should get here in about a couple weeks. So excited thanks for this build dude.
Update: Everything went great. I had a lot of troubles building it cause it was my first gaming pc build ever so it was definitely a head scratcher at times. Eventually after like 6 hours everything was perfect. I did use different fans cause the ones he used didn’t have rgb lights in the back or on top. The case did come with 3 in the front but I wanted more within the case. And that’s the only difference. I also did pick the better options he put on his website for this build cause I wanted the best pc possible and my girlfriend really didn’t care about the budget so I went all out on this. Huge thanks for the build and a huge thanks to my girl for buying me the build 😂.

Yes I love the Montech Air 903 Base I have. It's so much better than the Fractal Design Focus 2 RGB that I got in white. They both give great airflow, but the Montech case was just BETTER.
Bro, you fill an AMAZING niche within the PC community, such a big fan. My current build (originally i7 9700, B365M, 16GB HyperX DDR4 RAM, GTX 1660ti, and Corsair 650w Gold) was all sourced from a friend who upgraded. A deep clean, a 48 dollar 32GB HyperX RAM upgrade, 200 dollar Cyber Monday 6650XT, and a re-paste later, and I have a machine for $650 (total after new GPU and RAM upgrade) that runs Baulders gate 3 on Ultra preset at 96 fps! Never doubt resourcefulness! (and a bit of luck) Had it for 3 years almost, and in a year or two, I plan on upgrading the CPU/MOBO and actually taking advantage of that PCIe Gen4 on my 6650XT! (still awesome performance as is, but my mobo and 9700 chipset doesn't support Gen4)
@@cithr0963 whats wild is, the uplift on a GTX 1660ti ALONE at PCIe Gen3 is like 25 percent, I'm stoked at the future upgrade. AM5 motherboards will be 60 bucks brand new, and I'll have a 12-core 24 thread processor for 40% launch price
@@cithr0963i agree. 12th/13th gen motherboard with pcie 5.0 and ddr5 will be future proof for a while too. But gotta buy new ram and cpu on top of that which is pricey
@@hippobreath3703 that's the unfortunate part about my build, is that only in the last 4 years there's been like 4 generational increases from RAM, PCIe Gen4/5, and CPU socket. But, with performance like this, who caaaaares to wait a year or so and let all these components come down even more so, eh!? I look forward to DDR5 coming down even lower, especially because AMD chips seem to favor RAM clock speeds. (AMD will most likely be my next umbrella for upgrade, just because of price/performance. My i7 9700 hasn't aged too gracefully, and hasn't fallen much AT ALL in price)
PCI gen 4 will make ZERO difference. No card made can even come close to saturating a PCIE Gen3. Don't waste your money unless you are upgrading to get a faster CPU / RAM etc. If you are going to spend that much on a CPU and MOBO, you are probably going to want to upgrade that 6650XT as well lol. It never ends.

I got a used like new 6650XT Red Devil on Ebay for $184.00 shipped the other day. An upgrade for my wifes PC at a killer price. She was running a R9 380X 4GB GPU, so its a massive upgrade for cheap. Gpu's like that are a steal right now... finally.
I have to make a conscious effort to keep my butt out of Microcenter! I drive by it to and from work. On weekends when I work I usually stop in just to see what's good. Usually a Lot is Good.
I also have a ryzen 5 7600 with this exact same case. The stock cooler holds back the cpu badly. I've set a negative pbo curve and a thermal limit to somewhat offset this issue, but it still wasn't the best. Then I've got an arctic II 360 AIO, and it changed everything. Now I can OC it without reaching anywhere near 70°C and the FPS values went through the roof :) You don't have to go for an AIO like I did, I only chose this because it is one of the quitest, but you definitely need something other than the stock ryzen cooler. I think ID colling has some amazing deals, like the se 224 xt.

14:25 WAIT OZI, the 7600 non-x isn't supposed to run that hot at all. The 7600X is the one that'll limit itself to 95 degrees, the 7600 doesn't do that and ships with a 65w (Well, 88w, AMD things) limit out of the box. It's possible you had PBO on, or that it turned on by default, but that shouldn't be happening with a non-x part.
@@MrRoko91 A friend of mine has the 7600 with the stock cooler and his temps are way, way lower than that. He rarely hits over 80 in gaming compared to the 95 that oz was getting.
@@purplegill10 Interesting... don't know then. I guess it also depends on the game. Some are more CPU bound than others. Also the silicon lottery is a thing, even when it comes to stock parameters.
@@MrRoko91 I don't doubt either of those points, but 95c is such an outlier that it makes me wonder more about the motherboard providing incorrect voltages or if the cooler had some kind of mounting issue. I'd lean more towards the former since there's a few gigabyte motherboards that had those issues with ryzen 7000 launched.
For people that aren't experienced in CPU installation, I would NOT recommend using a paper towel to wipe off the paste but if you do, make sure there are no little fibers from the paper towel left on the CPU, it will mess up your thermals pretty badly. I generally use one used microfiber cloth to wipe off the paste and a fresh, clean one to do the finishing clean. Those towels don't leave behind any microscopic fibers.
he's running a 7600 65w cpu with a stock cooler, tiny fibers are not gonna matter. this doesn't require a strong cooling solution and it's getting one anyway.
Hey man I just wanted to say great job with the audio settings in your video, i don't know how many channels don't have their music set up correctly, so they stop talking go back to working and the BASS is blowing out your ear drums, thank you for not doing that. I can actually hear still after this video. Great video. I have been looking to build my little brother a computer so that he can get back into Diablo even though that game is very close to being dead. I'm just really bad about being budget minded on some of the parts just because I know what happens when you cheap out. I just build my self a system with a "Ryzen 9 X" here a while back and I love it. I'm not a big fan of the new Ryzen just because they run REALLY HOT. God Bless and have a good one my friend.
@@Fvdtrop My MSI "PRO B650M-A WIFI" came set to prevent the CPU from its usual 95deg behaviour, which I'm honestly okay with. Wouldn't be a train smash if it did go 95deg though, since that's apparently intended on these chips.
I personally would have taken a 5600X from MC for $130 and used the extra $100 or so you spent on that 7600X and put it towards a better GPU. for $330 you could have gotten a ASRock intel Arc A770 w/ 16GB of VRAM or a PowerColor RX 6700XT with 12GB of VRAM. I think that would have given you better performance. The 5600X is fast enough not to bottleneck any of those cards. Just my thoughts though. In the end it subjective and each person does it a little different. Your build isn't bad at all. Its still a great build.
Hey do you guys know what kind of performance difference there would be with my rx6800 if I used :… 5600x3D 3200 cl16 or 7700x 6000 cl36 7600x 6000 cl30 At 1440 p Warzone ‘mostly?? Those first two are micro center bundles and last was what I was interested in at first Will there be a big enough difference to justify the am5 offerings ? Would it matter more if I ended up w 7800xt - 6950xt type GPU? I hope that makes sense and sorry it’s weird place to ask but i keep finding info that contradicts what I had just read….
Man, seeing these prices is such a heavenly sightseeing. The prices dropping over the past few months has been such a good thing for us gamers. Meanwhile here in Brazil, things are still expensive af. Take for example the RX 6650XT, it is R$ 1,750 ( around 354 $ ). It's so hard trying to build something here that's actually decent and it would last for some years. Welp, I'm saving a little bit of money and selling my old pc to try and upgrade from a LGA 1155 DDR3 to AM4 DDR4, hopefully by the end of the year it comes true. Great vid as always, love your builds. Putting your video while doing something else is so good and pleasing to ear, thank you! :D
Yea prices are marginally down here in Canada too, but it is dead technology and will be replaced in less than 2 years with DDR6-AM6 with the sick pricing all over again. Overall NOTHING needs more than an AM4/DDR4 system, not even the top end five games if people can admit to not be script players. Everything done outside of bleeding edge industry does not need more than DDR4 era products.

Add a 5-7% undervolt and you're golden.
I think it's because of the Wraith Stealth stock cooler. If it was Wraith Prism it would be completely different story.

100 points for the NVME heatsink that has a screw that doesn't come out. I hate dealing with the screws for NVME drives.

Welp, I'm saving a little bit of money and selling my old pc to try and upgrade from a LGA 1155 DDR3 to AM4 DDR4, hopefully by the end of the year it comes true.

Yea prices are marginally down here in Canada too, but it is dead technology and will be replaced in less than 2 years with DDR6-AM6 with the sick pricing all over again. Overall NOTHING needs more than an AM4/DDR4 system, not even the top end five games if people can admit to not be script players. Everything done outside of bleeding edge industry does not need more than DDR4 era products.
