The dude serving you was super knowledgeable and seems like a dope guy!
dude definitely went above and beyond
Hey, I was the one who said what’s up to you guys when you were checking out! It was so cool to meet you guys in person!! 😁
Aye! It was awesome to meet you. Thanks for the support
@@carljohnson3724bum
@carljohnson3724 of course you can, just visit the link in the description which will lead you to their website where they sell their pc builds. 😅
@@carljohnson3724They don't govern away pcs by just asking like that
@@carljohnson3724 get a job
The $500 PC had a 5¢ score. Amazing value!
That's a lot of Ramen. 😂
Wasnt a 500 dollar pc though. It was 560 bucks 😅
So blessed to live less than an hour from one and have a tech industry in my area. I've found many places in the U.S don't have great deals on PC hardware and everything cost 2-3x what it should if you don't buy stuff online or at Best Buy. Microcenter is the best place to walk in and buy new gear hands down.
I live 10 mins away
Yeah you’re pretty blessed, I live outside the us and eu and anything computer related has a 30% price increase here, like for example instead of paying 800 dollars for a rtx 4070 ti super id have to pay nearly 1100 dollars
i live in alaska but i was in denver recently and got to go to a micro center for the first time and it was amazing. i bought a couple things that i could have got online and not payed insane colorado sales tax because i want to support micro center.
I live like 20 minutes away from the SoCal MC. Them being able to price match Amazon saved me a bit of time and money for my North XL case.
@@obeyobay9146 microcenter charges up the ass, too. like 50% higher what things should cost. The only pro about Microcenter is they just have a lot of stock. Terrible prices and only like 25 stores.
I am amazed how both the $500 and $750 budget gaming PC ended up with AM4 platform. This shows how relevant AM4 is still to this date.
Yeah, if they actually did spend 500 and 750, then it would of been even better :)
They skipped tax. Not even "ahh, its 505" or "Dang, its 755 with tax included" so it was a little over budget. They straight up went like 10% over budget or whatever it is in tax.
They with that failed the challenge from the start 😅
@@rickardsvensson7097 it makes sense to not include tax in the challenge imo because there isnt a sales tax everywhere
@@hbirb Not everywhere. Sure.
But the majority of the US do.
Like, if you had 497 dollar and thats EVERYTHING you have. Literally all your savings and everything on your account.
Then you try to order a PC thats 497 pre tax, you aint getting it cause it will be to expensive.
Not including tax is just straight up stupid.
Just as stupid as people who brag about their salary pre tax. Always account for tax when its there and will affect you.
Afterall, tax is a thing you cant discuss. It will always be there, no matter what.
@@rickardsvensson7097 if you really are trying to stretch your money and that’s everything in your account you generally wouldnt buy most components at microcenter anyway, I understand where ur coming from, but also because sales tax varies so much and it also makes figuring out total price along the way in a challenge like this so much harder I don’t really blame them
@@hbirb I mean, its not that hard to add on the sales tax by simple math.
The budget was 500 and 750.
With the average sales tax (that I could find) of 6%. Then they needed to sit at 475 and 710. Give or take a few dollars.
Wich is a fairly big diffrence and will make it a bit more of a challenge.
As said, the diffrence here was an entier component. RAM was if not misstaken 30 bucks, the cases was also around there. So it makes a good diffrence to the entiet setup.
I just see it as misleading and a failed challenge when you dont budget it properly. Like I said in previous comment. If you only have that amount, then you couldnt buy these setups. Thats the entier purpose of budget challenges.
But lets see it like this, if your lets say student friend came and asked you for tips and maybe even a build setup they could get for the same money they would pay for a console. Your friend say that the price will be $800 with tax.
Will you then go to $800 pre tax so your friend have to pay roughly 850 instead? Or would you use that budget to hit 800 with tax?
I personally would go for 800 paid and done.
Or as I have done before, if I go over, when it will make a significent diffrence, offer them the price diffrence on me 😂
Kofi kingston cameo 😂
New Day rocks 😂
Jonah is a real homie for helping Jackson out with the budget. 💯
🤝🤫
next time you do one of these wheel spin challenges, one of the modifiers should be that you have to account for sales tax in the budget.
YES!
its hard to do since sales tax is different for everyone
@@AlaskaL America is so strange to me with some of the things they do. Here tax is included in the price so let's say something costs $995 that's exactly what it costs (same with everything here in Australia).
Microcentre doing work in the advertising space. I love how they're doing it through these tech channels and not something like cable TV which no one watches anyway. Targeted marketing is best marketing!
I've helped multiple people pick up parts for their pc and even recommend some laptops for them but I haven't even built my own pc, these ultra budget gaming pc builds helped me a lot
Can't wait for the Microcenter in Santa Clara opens. It's much closer to me than Tustin.
Raise ur hand if ur here before 24 hrs 🖐

This video shows how important balance is in a build, impressive stuff.
00:01 thats correct and we want more
You have no idea how calming and cool your videos are 💯👑😎
Shoot it’s only been up for 2 minutes. Can I get a hell yeah!
Hell yeah
The two setttings that you could change are in the installation settings for the game itself they are called pre download streamed assests and high resolution textures, also if you just did the drivers obviously play 3-4 before showing results. (if you plan to play on performance mode disable directx 12 shaders as well)
Gotta love the competitions 😄
You guys have inspired me to build my own pc❤
@@Idotccfn good boy
good luck man. the challenge is rewarding!
put a 4090TI super in there and then overclock it
Same, but also ltt and ztt
If you're on a tight budget, used parts are the way to go. For $750 I'm pretty sure I could put together an am4 system with a rx6800 for a nice 1440p rig.
They do have a 750 system with a 12400f and rtx 4060
@@lds7104eva That's my point, the 4060 is garbage at $300. It loses to the 3060 in some games. You can get a brand new rx6800 for around $300, or $350. It will absolutely destroy the 4060 at everything.
Its a new store so no open box…
@macking104 Yeah I caught that, I didn't say open box, I said used. You know, like from ebay or marketplace or wherever one might find used pc parts.
@@kristhomas8518 that location just opened this month…
Makes me wonder how often the micro centre staff is on camera for all the RUclips channels out there. Dude seemed solid.
Nice some friendly competition 👌
I went here a week after opening and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I can't wait to go back.
Man!!! love this kind of content! hope Jackson can re-battle with good luck on spin haha.
looking for the next episode of this. got my sub guys!
Fun video, great to see friendly staff at a store!
So cool watching Michael Cera and Seth building PCs. Game on everyone 😊
Really enjoyed it! Looking forward to more videos from you! 💕😚
Looking forward to seeing more of you too.
@@BREEZYM6015 wtf
Love the Micro Center videos!!!
Feel like every tech youtuber I watch has done at this new microcenter.
Both builds are really solid. I would love to gift my nephew a PC like these. He been wanting one for a couple years
Not going to lie, I think the $500 PC is the winner here. Great PC for the price!
Micro Center’s Jidion 😂, Dope Video Guys
The MicroCenter guy looks so happy to help. Looks like a cool dude. One side, with 750 and low FPS, the other HELLDivers and 90FPS w/ 500. I know where this is going...
What overlay is that to show the cpu gpu and ram usage and fps
The music u put on when u was making the pc almost made me sleep lol
I love this challenge! Thanks for this! 🎉❤🎉
3:40 as soon as he rolls “must use intel” a trash can rolls by😭😂
Great vid as always guys! I really wish there was a Micro-Center in Louisville but Cincy isnt too bad a drive
I just wanna say watching the build montage at 2x speed makes that music slap!
Nice job Jackson, good looking well balanced build with impressive performance for the price.
Did you have resizeable bar turned on for the and system?
They both should have had rebar enabled especially with the ARC GPU
@@josephhoalt6824 good point, wrote my comment while watching the and benchmarking.
Ah man I live 18 mins away from this store & I missed you guys!
You should go to the Micro Center in Royal Oak MI and do one of these challenges. The Royal Oak Micro Center is scarce of everything.
Wait this guy comes into the gym I work at lol. Just the other day I noticed your shirt and we talked about how I built my first ever pc build. That’s kinda crazy
You should team up with Greg Salazar, he's filming at the same location.
Ok so I been thinking to get the same arc a580 ? is it any good ?
Great content dude
I can buy a lot of Ramen for $700. 😂
Underrated comment in today's economy, I'm hungry rn 😢
That 500 build is real similar to my current budget build I've been looking at as a possibility for my son.
In the slight chance that you see this how to you get those steady shots with a camara as seen in 14:37?
I’d really love to see something other than “budget build”
Why not do some mid to upper range builds? Like best system you can buy for AAA titles. Best system for FPS. Best for MMO, etc. and not just “the cheapest rig that can run Fortnite”
The dude that was showing you around look pretty dope
my fav series
The best
Did you consider looking for refurbished parts at MicroCenter? I just pulled up their site and found a 3060 Ti for $250. You could have swapped some things around to make up the $60 difference over that 6600. That GPU wasn't up to the task.
what do i gotta do for a personal gaming pc built from you guys?
Great video 🎉 and Microcenter of course is awesome, that 3600 would've paired well with up to a RX 6800! These builds had more potential hehe nonetheless it was cool to watch the challenge 🤙🏽⚡
I have to drive 2 hours to the closest micro center, but that’s a good thing because it’s easy to spend money in there.
Man it sure would be cool to live near a microcenter
shame I don't
When did they open of Micro Center in Charlotte? I literally live 20 minutes away from there.
The FPS should not be tied to a specific settings. The fun thing to do is play with video setting until you get the FPS limit and see all the sacrifices that were made to reach it! Great Video!
0:07 dude in the back be like 😀✌
I hope some day at Montreal to have a Micro Center store.
I know I can be hard on yall sometimes, but I truly do love yalls content. This was one of the my favorite videos in recent memory. That $500 intel gpu build looked amazing. Matts looked good too. Keep it up fellas! Also, Fortnite has been acting quite, says my daughter. That combo should have fortnite running at med/high settings (dx12) no lumen and getting above 100 fps. Maybe its still building shaders.
You can buy a 79503dx and 4090 right prebuilt right now from micro center for $2300... I tried to outdo it with a self build but I can not...
Videos like this make you realize that other than occasional deals and open box, microcenter’s prices kinda suck.
i love these challange videos
I was able to do one with 12600k + 6500XT for 500$ on their website haha. The Bundles for the CPU/Mobo/Ram are the best when it comes for budget.
3:42 bro is actually cooked like he got the exact opposite. Like a challenging game with a low budget compared to a high budget with a really not that demanding game.😂
OK, surprisingly the lower budget computer did a lot better😂
They finally are putting a Micro Center in Florida but it's Miami just as far as Atlanta. If they only knew the amount fo money I woudl spend there they would put one here near Gainesville
I just got a powerspec g907 for my first gaming PC. It has a ryzen 7950x3d and a 7900xtx white tachi edition.
Luv these vids
You guys too! I expected to run into GN Steve there, but a bunch of major influencers went to this one. This one is my local store!
Idk how there isn’t one of these in Nashville!
Too local?
idk if they set the games to priority high, which is a windows issue where they dont send enough power/resources to application you are trying to play
I just went to mircocenter, picked up everything i needed except a GPU for $600 after tax, which included ryzen 5 7600x, b650 mobo, 32gb DDR5 ram. Got a 2nd hand rx6700xt for $200 on marketplace. $800 all in
you should do a 4k budget build challenge. Obviously you'd need to spend more but still budget ranges for 4k gaming
How do they have the cpu temp and stuff in top left conner
I believe its called RTSS (Rivatuner statistics server). Its built into the management software on most graphics cards but you usually have to enable it and set what parameters you want monitored.
Fortnite on dx12 has to compile shaders in game after graphics driver updates or upon fresh installs causing super lag but usually gets better after a few games so the shaders are compiled
I don’t feel like this was a CPU issue with Matt’s PC, but a GPU issue at high settings. I run a 5800x3D with a Strix 4070 at 1440p and cruise. 6600 can’t keep up! But yea, games looks SO DIFFERENT at high settings.
No it's not the CPU. I don't know what Matt's options were on GPUs and CPUs and pricing so I'm not going to say he did it wrong. I would try go with a Ryzen 5600 with a better GPU, but that is in hindsight. Of course you can't buy a 4070 for that budget. 4070 is a solid 1440p card where the 6600 is clearly a 1080p card.
G517 powerspec pre-built with 5800x3d and amd 7600, add 2nd stick of ram FTW. Not as good for content, but the value was there under 700 on deal.
Love to work there omg
Hey guys, I think you may have needed to do a bios update to fully utilize the 5800x3d. I know for my board I needed to and saw a massive improvement.
I wish a microcenter would open up in buffalo, ny or even erie pa
Good video! I would love to work there but there's a line out the door for applicants.
Greg Salazar was here,I love this kinda vids
Next challenge - who can build the best budget VR ready System. That's a challenge I'd love to see
I’m really stuck between laptop and pc idk which one to choose you got any suggestions?
depends on your circumstances. pc gives you better performance for the money, but is less convenient since you cant bring it around wherever you go.
Thank you
If u guys had swapped video cards & goals you probably would have both succeeded 😂
Have you guys ever come to the one in Dallas tx?
Your definition of Ultra Budget is a lot different than my own.
dang, i wish we had the same store near my area..
Yes love these videos
This dude with bun has been in everybody's video😂
Really disappointed you didn't end up going with the 7700x bundle. Also good thing you did, he gave you the first gen motherboard not the v2
Man I’ve been there twice already, wonder how many techtubers I walked right by lol
Some people might wonder why there are very few air coolers at that Micro Center. I was there a week and a half ago and a sales rep told me it used to be mostly Deepcool stuff until it became illegal for businesses to sell Deepcool stuff. Kinda sucked so I had to buy a Noctua NH-U14 instead and swapped out the fan for one that matches my case fans.
I'm pretty sure the arc card freaking out is the resizeable bar not activated in the bios.
Is a i5 14600k and a 4070super and ddr5 32GB good combo?
Sounds good. How much did all of that cost? I have an i7 8700k, GTX 1060 6GG, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM and am looking to upgrade.
Nice man that is good my Old hade i7 870 1070 ddr3 16gb Price off my new was like 2000usd+but Nice build you have
Micro center is a dream place 😍
