I've said it before and I'll say it again: You're the only tech channel that includes shipping charges on your final cost. All other major channels just handwave that away, which is unrealistic for a true budget and sets bad expectations/precedent. Thank you for keeping it real with all costs involved.
I love these guys they aren't like other creators building $10k systems for fun. They make content that is possible to replicate and also learn from. Much love guys
This is what is called content I love the budget PC challenge, this needs more attention I love the fact the we can finally see something which we all can afford 😁😁
That HP Z440 is still the budget build king... Even just a $10 upgrade to the CPU would have dominated this challenge. Saving a few bucks on shipping from a different seller would have made up the difference. An AE branded RX580 2048SP should have also been considered. Those Z440 are the platform of choice for any sub $300 budget. A faster Broadwell v4 CPU w/ 12+ cores, with Quad-Channel RAM, and an RX 5700XT or something similar... A simple build like that still holds up in modern gaming, and even slaps down current consoles.
i want to thank you for following up on these pcs for real world usage versus gaming. i'd love to see a build with a 2680 v4, and it's use for video editing and rendering and an appropriate video card. thanks for the budget setups as always.
@@matthijsvandeweerd1415 wtf?? how?????????????? are you in france or germany or something? to have such parts lying around for that cheap. maybe czechia?
Honestly i found a laptop with a 3060 and an i7 12700H at 866€ which at first might not seem like a good deal but i am in italy and usually something like that costs like 1050€ and btw its a great piece of tech
You should include some form of punishment for a losing party, nothing too harsh, but something like 20 pushups, plank for 2 minutes, 30 squats or buy McAllister dinner etc. It would make this challenges more thrilling to watch and conclusion much more entertaining.
I bought an 8th gen Lenovo for 45 bucks and put a T600 inside I got at a yard sale for 50 bucks. 32 gigs ram already inside, 1tb m.2 and it plays Helldiver's solid 38 FPS for under a hundo.
Ali has sata SSD's starting at $7. Just picked up a 160GB and a Wifi/Bluetooth PCIE card for an SFF Opti for just over $12. Both are already in the machine and are legit
I live in norwalk ca. Not too far from a micro center. I would never have known micro center existed if not for youtubers. I have yet to see a commercial on TV about micro center😆
You can get a xeon x99 kit for around 80$ right now. 10core xeon 2666, 2x8 ddr4, and a machinist motherboard. I personally went a bit cheaper and got a ddr3 x99 board but with the same cpu, so I got it all for 55$. It's more than enough for the vega 56 I bought for 80$. Overall quite happy with my build since I already got a case, power supply, and storage around.
best cheap build i used to have was a hp z600 that comes with 2 intel xeon x5675 thats clocked at 3.07 with 48 gb of ddr3 ram and a gtx 1050ti it can run any game atleast 120 fps plus
I'm on a $30 dollar a month spendable money fixed budget, bedridden, in an old folks home. I need a 1080p PC. These are the builds I need to see, so I can figure out what to replace my potato with.
Sounds cool.....while I was moving I was forced to use my 1300x+GTX970, while my 3700x+RTX-2080 was unavailable....the 1300x ended up being my main system and today is a 5700x3D with a 7900GRE....same motherboard.
Still have my Dell Inspiron 3650 I bought back in 2016 sitting in my closet. Has an i5 6400, 16 gb ddr3, and an rx 460 2gb, sadly it still has its original 1tb Hard Drive making loading and downloading things very slow otherwise itd still be pretty usable for older games and whatnot.
how about doing a budget build around an RX 6700xt?, in my opinion this card is the sweet spot for those who want entry level 1440p gaming and some 4K, for those who want to play modern first person titles and not just E-sports, this card works great in both power and 12 gigs of V=Ram to run higher intensive games and that power and RAM also translates to high FPS in Shooters
Xeons is a market i would like to know more about. I was amazed by the performance Mat got and i know it wasnt a great experience but if we knew which xeons have 6 core 12 thread, even 6 core 6 thread wwould be better. And alot of people dont look at xeons where everyone wants a i7.
*Why not upgrade these with cpu and gpu upgrades and see which couldve been upgraded the most? I believe a RTX 3060 LP 6gig would be a killer good option here*
What was wrong with GTX 970 instead of RX550? SFF? Maybe take normal size computer? Gtx 970 4GB, yeah, it's not even full 4GB but still, is like x2 performance of rx550 4gb...or take a chance with quadro m2000 maybe? lmao Gtx 970 would be a better gpu if you didn't pick sff computer, and for the other computer instead of rx 560, gtx 970 would still be better pick imo. Drivers still supported iirc Anyways, I like this kind of videos but honestly you should have stepped more into search you could have found better deals imo and explain why you getting what you getting (what was thought process 😉) Good video, keep explaining people they don't need ton of money to have decent gaming computer 👌👍
A380, yea I'd go with Rx 580 or 480 8 GB. E5 1607 v4 free in that era in OEM Intel volume procurement is why, a place holder like A2000/x1200 meant to be replaced. Broadwell E5 1620,1630, Ivy quad EE (Haswell hexa EE beyond budget) hum Ryzen 3300X = Ivy quad EE; look harder for the base system. Yea I know u have a budget to work within. I also suspect when u sell one of these low budget bangers the upgrade to 1620/30 and 580 makes a Toasty margin. Used and open box Sata SSD no issue they are definitively qualified on used (burn in) quality assurance. On Rx 480 u could have kept the Quadro pascal was it at bottom bin? It's only going to be replaced as a place holder until the actual customer buys it u guys know exactly what a CPU and dGPU place holder is. mb
Play counter strike 2 on linux then you would get better drivers on amd rx 500 series. Also 1060 3gb would of stop the 560 you can find them for 60 bucks
I am thinking of uprooting my family to move to the closest city with a Micro Center. A PC geek's dream. Edit: Wanted to see a PUBG game lol. only 69% of the people are cheaters lol
I have HP Z440 in my office. The ram is server ram ECC reg. It's little more stable and fast. CPU i have is E5-2600 V4 it's perfect just replace power supply add powerful GPU and SSD and you have a good gaming PC.
bro i have the lenovo thincentre m73 small for factor like half tower size lol i got a low profile r7 250 in it lol plays minecraft and a few other games okay on Linux i want to get something decent but idk if its worth putting 1000s into a computer

So true
Micro center is just sponsoring every PC youtuber at this point😂😂
Duh. How else do you market to the only people interested in this business?
Just saying, literally EVERY SINGLE PC RUclipsR has been sponsored
Micro center is pretty dope. And the people actually know what they are talking about.
Most creators, like us, sign year long deals to run ads monthly. Just some insight
i love micro center 15min away no waiting for shipping and you can take it back if sonethings wrong
I would like to see them hit the streets and buy in person. The deals are much better.
they did that some months ago, they are kinda famous so it is sort of hard

would be nice to push this pcs to their limits like putting higher graphics
The Toaster Oven Boys still owe me one free gaming PC that I won there last Friday, ya hear me!? 🎉🎊🎈
They ain't getting you that pc 💀
Damn, scammed again!! 😭
Think a 200 full setup pc keyboard mouse and monitor scrapyard wars style would be awesome 👍
You dont end up using the nimez drivers for the 550/560, you may see performance improvements for those gpus with the more up to date drivers
You can count on Jackson to ignore his requirements, and Matt to ignore compatibility. 🤣

You can minimize your stuttering by capping frame rate. Bet it would help alot in both cases
our school had those hp workstations with the quad core xeons, they mainly where used for web code and some blender, ran okay from what i remember

Single channel ddr4 is fine for gaming, unless you're using Smart Access Memory/SBA
what to pair with an I7 4770 old office rig? 1650? 1660? 2060?
