Good component update, these types of videos are always good but do you think it is better to look for a Windows key to solve certain operational problems?
Man what a fantastic video. I didn't know you could do a PC build video without a room filled with RGB and yelling. Love the format and you choice of music fits the look perfectly. Subbed.
4:20 Case reccomendation: MSI MAG Forge 112R I used it for my first build recently, it's got a mesh front panel, 4 pre-installed ARGB fans, splitters, an RGB hub and looks fairly minimalist to fit into whatever setup you want. I don't know about the USA but in the UK it's about £60 on Amazon.
A power supply that I like lately is the Thermaltake Smart BM3 650W, the price is higher, $60 to $70, it gives a little more headroom for future upgrades and is a semi-modular design with all black cables. So it looks great and you can cut back on the extra cables getting stuffed somewhere. I do like your build videos, you sound like you enjoy doing them.
@@nikolassovtich1309Yeah like I'd recommend anyone try and get a 700w if they can, IF they was planning to keep it and upgrade the thing in a few years. You pretty much can't do that without either getting a lower end part with low power draw or having to upgrade PSU and let me tell you changing out power supply is one of the biggest hassles, only replacing the motherboard is a bigger pain in the ass and not by much. You typcially want only one PSU in the life of the PC even a very high end one. It's a hassle and money you never needed to spend, so try and make that last. 650w should be plenty for most GPUs, and I doubt anyone is buying a 4090 or 7900XTX if they're starting with a 500$ minmax build. 500w is fine for lots of parts but if it's on Intel you may run into power problems when trying to fit power budget into an i7+new GPU. Ryzen is super good for that reason, it's so power efficient.
400k.... ONLY ?! These videos are actually top notch man, you deserve minimum 2 mil. Saw someone say you're the bob ross of pc building, Couldn't agree more.
As somebody who daily drives a Ryzen 5 5500 and an RX 7600, you're the only person I've seen online who doesn't just blatantly disregard and instead push people to go for the higher binned 5600G or 5600. it's a truly great processor for when it just fits your budget. Thanks Oz! You're the best at these videos, and I find that watching your builds is often so relaxing. Edit: also really dig your choice of background music!
Meh. For a few dollars the 5600 really is worth it. You get slightly better clocks, more L3 cache which can affect gaming performance, and the PCI 4.0 support is good for the Arc and RDNA 2 cards (RX6600).
I’ve seen many pc building videos, many are over the top, and you’ve created a great refreshing niche both in being a relaxing build but also information that some may not know or remember in terms of specs, settings, and price comparisons. Great work. Subbed.

Those return stores sometimes have some pretty nice PC components! I understand they have every right to do so, and I don't necessarily blame them, but come on man 😑😏🤷 But I've still scored some pretty cool stuff for pennies on the dollar 😊 No 3070ti but 😂

The thing to remember with the b350/450 and a320/520 motherboards is that you don't get Gen 4 support, only Gen 3. So either go for the Gen 3 nvme(slighty cheaper also) or get the non-wifi Gigabyte B550M DS3H(which in the UK is the same price as the b450 wifi). Also not having Gen 4 support effects the performance of some low end gpus(rx6400/6500xt/etc).
Ryzen 5 5500 does not support PCIe 4.0, so it does not matter in this case. But for future-proofing, a b550 makes more sense as you might be upgrading your cpu and want to take advantage of its features.
😊 i agree with all of you, it just depends on you exact personal situation you got going on in your house, they all seem relevant, i will make a note of it cause this conversation keeps coming up on almost every video, over and over again, ad nauseum 😄
I got some old office desk terminal/PC husks with power bricks already in them; put the screws, spacers, and studs I wanted to use with the upgraded motherboard, flipped it over and put a tiny dot of epoxy on each stud end, set it in the case and waited for the epoxy to cure enough to pull the screws, removed motherboard and added more epoxy (metal epoxy, like JB Weld [not an affiliate] is what to use), let it cure, rebuilt system. Very quiet, very cheap, tiny footprint, fun to build and not too hard - since every motherboard comes with the back metal plate to pop in, a dremel type tool to cut out the opening after tracing the plate is also quick (choose the right dremel blade, or if you have a keyhole/scroll saw that also works easy) and everything fits.
@@Shadowtron1221they are called modules not sticks! Goddamn kids! Guess it's a generation thing. To age myself I got my first MCSE/MCP on server 2000 when I was 18.
Hi, Thanks for this. I've got a monster of a rig. But have several friends who've never owned a PC. Sent this off to them as a good starting point. Take care and have a good one
I really don't think it's the GPU that's doing poorly in Hogwarts Legacy, assuming your footage is accurate. Looks like you have a bottleneck elsewhere because GPU usage is in the 60s and 70s. Have you tried other GPUs with this CPU and RAM config in HL?
Great build! I actually just bought a budget build for my son and I to build. Have the exact same case and ram. Only the ram is 2x16. A 2060 super, 1tb crucial p3 m.2, 2700x, as rock b450m/ac motherboard and be quiet 750 full mod psu all for about $550. Will be putting together within a week. Appreciate the awesome builds!
Fwiw, I built my first PC ever just a few months ago with an A770 and it's been pretty easy to deal with. Haven't had to mess around with settings much, the only thing is that every so often the card fails to boot and you have to turn it off, replug the hdmi cable, and turn it on again. Outside of that, it's been much easier to use than people say. I've run into more issues with all the other parts of my build like the E cores on my intel cpu lol
+1 for the observation. GPU in Hogwarts is showing only 70ish % utilization. The Ryzen 5600 (x or non x are very close in performance) is only about $120 on Newegg. The 5600G is NOT a good alternative (the G has less cache). 5600(x) has higher clock speed then the 5500 and more cache which would help keep data flowing to the GPU. It's also possible that using a PCIE Gen 3 slot might be contributing to the issues? (hint hint...possible video comparison topic...) Good news is that this build would give great service, while you kept an eye out for a screamin' deal on a B550/5600 or better GPU combo.
@@wagnonforcoloradoThe problem I have is that B550 in my country is way too expensive. I really wish A520 had a least 1 pcie 4 slot. For me its cheaper to buy 12400 and h610 and get better performance than 5600x and h610 has full pcie 4 support.
Nice job... It always calms me down when i listen to this bro explaining in details what parts he chosen and why. I only wish that we had similar pricing here in eastern Europe but taxes are killing all the joy.
This is a great list! I'm currently compiling a parts list for my partner's little brother to build him a PC using my last PC's case and motherboard left over. My list is coincidentally nearly identical to your's, with an Arc A580 and Ryzen 5 5500 being the main features. These seem like great options for his needs and while it's still a budget build, it certainly isn't going to keep him from some graphic heavy single player games at 1080p. Thanks for the video!
Not to throw shade at the Verge, but this is what the Verge's video could and should have been. I by no means have a cheap setup, but watching a budget focused build with no commentary was very relaxing. Plus points for the atmosphere, please do more of these
I'm supposed to feel anxiety and jealousy when I usually watch these build videos, but man, you make it sound so therapeutic I love it. You sir and this channel are a unicorn.
This was the video of yours I watched. Going to watch a few more, and if they’re all as epic as this part-ASMR, part techspert showing, consider me a new subscriber. Someone else made a comment that you’re like the Bob Ross of pc builders and that is absolutely accurate, and probably the highest compliment one can attain 😅
i built almost this exact computer with a 6600 and different case yesterday for my best friend wow this timing was immaculate on a real note been watching your content for a while and you are by far my favorite tech channel keep up the good stuff!
genuine G, i love your aesthetic although i just built an insane computer hosting a ryzen 7 7800x3d, 4060ti, 32gb of ram something about your thumbnail was just so clean, i love this aesthetic and it gives bob ross vibes, keep it up and i appreciate you helping out people with not as much money to spend on a good starting rig!
For $510 and new parts, it is hard to argue that that is a GREAT low cost build. Good video. My pc is $1500 with a $300 monitor, but that is just a mid level gaming pc. For someone just trying to get into pc gaming , videos like this are a great help, so they can game and have some starting point. PC gaming builds can be expensive, so people have to set a limit and see what they can get for the money. I do not go super high end, just a mid level pc. Then I save $20 per months for upgrades in the future. That is $240 per year or $960 every 4 years for upgrades. I basically think a basic gaming pc should be a minimum of $800 to $1000 as a base price, but I am amazed of how good that pc is for the price. You can game on his $510 pc for most games up to 2023. That gpu is about 15 percent faster than a 1600 ti gpu. That build will get you started, then add more storage space or a better gpu later. I liked this video.
I can't fault your choices but I'll point out the one obvious thing. That PSU will potentially limit any GPU upgrades. It's a $500 build with new parts so it is what it is. The only alternative I can think of is moving some of the CPU budget to the PSU and maybe try getting something beefier. The catch would be that further down the line your new GPU might be limited by the weaker CPU. Such is the life of a PC builder.
A fully modular 650W 80+ Gold power supply can be had for only $80. For those who say this is an extra $30 over the MSI unit demonstrated in the video, you need to work a little harder and be more patient with your life.
Some other things to note, that motherboard only has 1 chasis fan header, so you will need that included splitter. Also the included fans are voltage controled 3 pin fans, be sure to change that setting in the bios.

Outside of that, it's been much easier to use than people say. I've run into more issues with all the other parts of my build like the E cores on my intel cpu lol
Hence why he proceeded to recommend different Nvidia and AMD graphics cards.
I applaud your fashion choices ,sensible yet eye catching
Check your gpu usage bro, it´s being bottlenecked by the cpu. You need something like a 5600x to fully support the gpu imo
See the whole video, not in everygame
Another great build and video! Thank you OZI!
arc gpu, gross
Thanks for the video!
your video was like a therapy to me , i really had bad mood , never thought i will feel better after watching pc build video 😅
Awesome video bruh! Thank you so much for making a video like this. Really good info and pricing for an entry lvl PC builder/player!
Love the cozy feel of your videos, keep up the good work man!
Really enjoy your videos man. Makes me wanna build a pc every time! Also love the song during the build. Hope you had a good Easter weekend🙏🏼
What a great chill energy. Really enjoyed this
Super chill PC build video! Loved it......great budget PC too! Well done for 5 bills!
Born too late to see dinosaurs, born too early to see flying cars, but born just in time to witness the greatest pc youtuber ever.
Thanks to this man I'm feeling very confident in my first build.
5600x, 6650xt, 32gb ram
Broke so it's coming in over a few weeks
What motherboard, ram?
Legit man, was feeiing tired & anxious and your vids help, great content as usual man.
Love your videos, originality, hope you keep doing them💕
Loved the music during the build!
Another masterpiece. I haven't built in this tier of pc in a long time, but I watch every single one of your videos I see. Love your work.
broo the candle :D new viewer and did not expect the so called asmr pc building
I really enjoy this form of content, your videos are really cozy in a way. Also the music is banger
I just built my first pc and your channel helped me so much. And these parts run great. Thank you forever 😊
Haven’t watched a video by my fav tech RUclipsr in a hot minute, been loving these pc builds your my go to techie! Appreciate the work you do Oz.
Your channel is severely underrated, keep up the amazing builds!
I've never thought that building a pc video can be so relaxing, thank for your work
oz, trust me, it would be better for your audience to listen to only your voice without no background music, a lot of us would appreciate it.
if youre adding a pcie wifi card there are solid options based off of the intel ax210 which is pretty much the standard for wifi right now
i built almost this exact computer with a 6600 and different case yesterday for my best friend wow this timing was immaculate
on a real note been watching your content for a while and you are by far my favorite tech channel keep up the good stuff!
Bro got the music, the plant, the candle, the sunlight, tree frogs in the background and the clean wooden workbench to top it off😮💨
Buying this exact build right now
0:48 aint no way you just said that 😭😭
great video always a fun watch and great updates on todays parts and cost
That little candle touch just for aesthetics truly shows the bob's aesthetic mind ! ❤
i love your videos , its so calming and awsome to watch
I really like the build and music in the background
genuine G, i love your aesthetic although i just built an insane computer hosting a ryzen 7 7800x3d, 4060ti, 32gb of ram something about your thumbnail was just so clean, i love this aesthetic and it gives bob ross vibes, keep it up and i appreciate you helping out people with not as much money to spend on a good starting rig!
Oz sporting a Modmic yeah!!! Congrats on your 400K !!!! You are one of my favorites !
Such is the life of a PC builder.
agree, that power supply is more for video cards that are single 8pin at most
A fully modular 650W 80+ Gold power supply can be had for only $80. For those who say this is an extra $30 over the MSI unit demonstrated in the video, you need to work a little harder and be more patient with your life.
Happy Easter everyone, love ur vids Oz
Excellent Video as always
I'm going to use your recommendations and build my first pc. Thanks for the great content!
Man I really like your videos its so relaxing and informative
blue and black colorway is very pleasing
Some other things to note, that motherboard only has 1 chasis fan header, so you will need that included splitter. Also the included fans are voltage controled 3 pin fans, be sure to change that setting in the bios.
Dude your house decor is just on point!
Good to see you Oz!
