Multiply that by all of the US stores, plus some of our online merchandise ships from warehouses. Most of our Black Friday tech deals aren't even regular stock, they're sent in specifically for those sales. So, companies like HP make these devices specifically for those sales. And they make a LOT of them.
REQUEST: When you do videos like this, please crack it open to see if the RAM is soldered and if there are any additional NVME slots for expansion. Things like that are definitely handy bits of information to have for how future-proof some of these laptops might be. 👍
I have this laptop and I can definitely tell you that they ram isn’t soldered so you can upgrade to a 32gb if need be.. and extra slots for expansion from what I can tell when opened mine there weren’t any.. just one nvme slot

I was in USA last week for the first time and got the Victus 15 variant with Ryzen 5 7000 series and RX6550M for 429USD from Best Buy just few days before this banger dropped. Kinda disapointed I didn't wait for few days, but time was tight and I didn't know there will be such deals at all. On the upside every gaming laptop (even the shittiest possible MSI RTX2050 models) in my country costs AT LEAST like 650 USD even on "holiday deals", so I still got a decent deal after all.

I grabbed a victus laptop a while back and my one complaint about it is when I had it in my lap resting against my torso while I was tuning my car the track pad will click and stick on. Other than that I like the laptop
@@idan678 There has to be a decent cheap all AMD laptop on the market somewhere. A cheap all AMD desktop would be cool though. To make it harder, 1440p only. It could be done using an AM4 5700x3D, cheap 3600 speed ram, an Ali Express B550, and a used 6800 non XT.

I returned it because of the small screen after purchase on pre-black friday sale. $499 is both the pre and black friday price which should also be available in-store on actual black friday Nov 29. After coming from a 17 inch gaming laptop and without a huge bottom bezel, the experience was like looking at a tablet. If this horrible trend of the huge bottom bezel were not stealing the full screen experience, I would have probably kept it.

@@matthewmckinney6164 I thought that was only because Intel CPUs under 60W or something weren't affected, so if a laptop had a CPU that drew more than that, it might be affected. Then again, the CPU in this laptop might still be under 60W and the rest be for the GPU.
no. victus has zero bios, all you can change is date and time. you have to have the omen gaming hub in order to unlock the full potential, this is intentional. i scored 2k more timespy with the hub on performance.

OPINIONS? Just bought an hp victus 16.5 with ryzen 5 7535h amd rx 6550m 8gb and 512 ssd for $430. I bought a 16gb ram and a 1tb m.2 ssd for an extra 90 bucks total. Paid about $570 after tax on all. Any thoughts? I thought I did well but I’m pretty much brand new on the whole pc gaming. Been a console player pretty much all my life and just wanted some honest thoughts on it. Anything is appreciated!
@cils17 I have the exact same model (BestBuy deal for 429 USD,I presume?) and so far it's okay (I also bought extra 8 Gig RAM and swapped the 1TB SSD from my old laptop ). I had some issues with a terrible battery life in the beginning but I think it was a matter of initial calibration. After 3rd full charge the battery seems to be much better - 1,30 hours mixing with Traktor Pro and connected DJ controller cost me about 30% battery life which must be about 4,5 hours total.

Spent 600 on the upgrades and such, and instead I ended up buying an hp victus with 16gb ddr5 1tb of ssd m.2 Ryzen 7 8845Hs And RTX 4060 All for 750 after tax. Figured it was worth the extra investment for the upgrades on the laptop! Much better for gaming!

major downfall of this laptop they didnt mention is how dim of a display it has 250 nits is awful
the amd 8000 series models have a 300 nits screen, like the 4070/8845 for 899$. you get what you pay for.

yes the 4050 is significantly faster than a 3050 laptop. 3050 laptop is basically a 2050 laptop which they did make .
