It took a lot of time and money to get the full case files, which includes a lot of unreleased and unseen footage, and I hope it gives you a deeper look into the twisted mind of Jodi Arias! We have been working on it for many months now and are very excited to release it today! I hope you have a wonderful day and see you soon on the next video!
I love everything that you guys do can you guys please do the case on Erin caffey I know you guys did in the past but can I see it interrogation video that would be pretty cool and neat
Dang i didn't realize you paid for stuff. That makes me appreciate you even more. Also i think the guy who narrates should podcasts. Has a pef ect voice for it
Do you know who else was into photography ?? The room mate who lived with travis’s decomposing body for 4 days and apparently could not smell anything ❤❤
I would’ve never thought there would ever be any more information to surface from this case and I have practically memorized every single detail there is to it. But here I am years later pleasantly surprised and excited to enjoy this 2 hour treat all thanks to EWU. You guys deserve all the praise for your good work.
Idem. Really amazed to see the new released footage beautifully crafted and analysed by EWU. High-calibre doc indeed as always. You guys rock, always deliver the best and fresh material, on a case that has fascinated and been studied so much. No wonder I proudly sport my EWU t-shirt over here in Europe. ;)
Those phone calls with her family made my jaw drop. She has no remorse, no guilt, and no shame. She almost sounds like she's on vacation without a single worry in the world. Truly evil and bizarre.
Jodi is the worst!!! Evil, when you get a chance look up Stephanie Lazarus she was a police officer who got away with murder for 23 years another sicko!!!!
I'll never understand how someone can keep their cool like that, yet murder someone one. Like how about you ALSO keep your cool and NOT KILL SOMEONE?? I just don't get it.
The way she talks to *_her own mother_* the most disgusting and disrespectful thing I’ve ever heard. She took away one of my favorite friends I ever had. Thank you for treating Travis with respect and dignity in this video. He absolutely deserves it.
I know a girl with same anti social problem as her and she talk the sammeee way yo her mother and always told me she was stupid! There is a lot more people with mental problem like this than we think! Im still afraid of her, thinking about everything she would do and say...now seeing videos like this doesnt help! 😢 RIP Travis! ❤
I'm sorry for your loss. He seemed like an amazing man. He's resting with Jesus now. And you will meet him there in time....and you will continue your friendship in heaven ❤
15 years later & I'm still so fascinated by this case. I have rewatched the trial over 10 times, and still find myself so intrigued by all the psychology surrounding this case. Thanks for releasing the unreleased phone calls, now I have something else to fixate on for 2 hours.
I feel like everyone in this case is so weird. Their relationships were all so weird. And the two 'friends' at the start of the video are really not giving friend vibes. They talk about him being bullied in school, but rather then just say he was bullied, they describe all the horrible things in detail whilst laughing, as if they think him being bullied was hilarious and still is.
@@greatestevarI mean.. they are Mormon. Not all Mormon sects practice incestuous marriages, but it’s usually a pretty tight community so you may get 2nd or 3rd cousins without intending to. A LOT of the Mormon people look alike, and there’s some research behind there being some common diseases among them like you get with ethnic Jewish heritage. I used to baby sit for a Mormon family that moved to NJ for better services for their high needs autistic twins. They looked surprisingly similar, and so did their individual families.
You spoil us with in depth true journalism in a way everyone can understand - while also being so respectful to victims. Thank you to you and your team for your continuous hard work.
I've watched Jodi's previously released interrogations. My only remaining question... HOW did Travis's TWO ROOMMATES not notice or hear anything? The roommate was HOME when the friends came to look for Travis... And Travis had been dead for 5 days... Was there NO smell? Did the roommates not think it ODD that Travis's car was in the garage but he wasn't there, his bedroom door was locked but his keys were downstairs?!!
well there ARE roommates out there who really don't hang out like that. some would just go home, sleep, eat and just do whatever outside. watching the interrogation of one of the roommates who discovered his body, it doesn't look like he was familiar with Travis' routines and doesn't know him on a much deeper and personal level. I mean he said he assumed Travis was out on a trip.
Watch more videos about people in the house where murder is happening. You will be shocked how many times people just don't know what's going on. That's very big minus in yall American big houses you can know sht or hear sht.
Honestly so irritating listening to all her family members on the phone with her so clearly bowing and scraping to her demands. She is so abusive, manipulative and demanding that even behind bars nobody just hangs up on her when she starts her abuse. I wish someone would just say "you're delusional" and hang up.
@@lolmanyeah1 Her mother is weird saying that after the murder their relationship is better. Sure kill someone to improve relationships. Pretty twisted. Plus her mother sounds weak and afraid of her. Jodi still has to give account to the Creator for her actions. Thou shall not kill and deprive a person of their life. She didn’t send him off to party land. 🙄
Detective Flores was amazing! He did such great work and kept a powerful but calm tone in his voice, I like how he said the camera accidentally took photos of the murder and she said “really”
She is genuinely evil, I can't believe how ruthlessly she did that to someone she suppossedly loved. She was experiencing narcissistic rage, because no one breaks up with HER. That's all it is.
Well I think she is just such a compulsive liar that she is incapable of admitting fault. Like she absolutely knows that she did it, she just refuses to let those words leave her mouth. Her version of the story changes multiple times in such extreme ways that it's patently obvious that she knows exactly what she did.
Denial?? She's not in denial. She's well aware of the evidence & she's just lying, trying to gaslight Flores. The only thing she's really unaware of is thinking Flores believes her. Thinking she's believable. Everything else, she's totally aware.
I've seen full blown episodes of Dateline and 60 Minutes that don't even approach the high level of detail and quality of content that EWU presents on a consistent basis. Thanks once again for another incredible installment EWU, you're the best investigative reporting channel on RUclips.
Those shows are more for titillation than facts. TV generally sensationalises to make people go "Ooooooo". Gotta get ratings. They try to draw in people who don't know much. Whereas this channel, albeit wanting views, knows its audience and knows they want as many facts as possible. And more insights. Hold the sensationalism. TV shows aren't about insight.
@@sallybalkin8507 there’s is all about drama and what will attract viewers basically Jodi going to all these shows to be interviewed of course they are only going to go off of what she said. Nobody from her side or family or friends knew anything about Travis or their relationship to be interviewed which says a lot of you know how to read people
I. Have watched every single thing ever recorded on this case. I can't believe I am sitting here these many years later. Watching new stuff about this case, it blows my mind. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the subtitles. The amount of extra time and work put in just for the subtitles so your deaf/hard of hearing fans can enjoy, doesn't go unnoticed by us.
Hard agree. Love when cc is included and actually matches what is being said. Auditory comprehension is much easier for me when I can read what was said as well.
So real, specially with interrogation videos where the audio can be muffled/has echo or poorly recorded. I have a really hard time enjoying or understanding videos without them
I loved how the detective let her go on and on with her different stories making it seem like he was believing her. They go over drawings and position reenactments. She laughs several times trying to show confidence and innocence. After she wraps up what she thinks was a decent story he does a 180, "this is the most farfetched story i've ever heard"🤣 jodi then is a deer in headlights realizing she isnt fooling anyone and shocked she wasn't convincing
I know! She's such a conceited pos! She probably thought he wanted to ask her out on a date because she was so "smart" and "lovable". She definitely needed to be knocked down a step or two by him.
i just found this channel & there is NOT another channel that does this same content that understands that the reason some of us like these is that we're attracted to the psychological, research, social & behavioral science behind it all. This channel is the perfect hub to satisfy all 4 and not just telling about a criminal case as entertainment! i love it here!
Detective Flores is superb at his job. He remained calm, showed her respect and spoke in low soothing tones. It takes someone very competent and experienced to not lose their cool while dealing with this horrific woman.
I disagree. Him not shutting down her delusional stories allowed her to get ingrained with them and lead to the media circus we have today. Shutting down false narratives is a pretty large part of interrogation and allowing her to go on these long winded tall tales was not smart at all.
She was trying to get away from him 20 times. One time with a bullet and 19 times with a knife to chest, throat, face and ears. And it was such "self defense" that she felt she needed to concoct about four different versions of a story before reaching the "self defence" one. And it was so traumatic for her, that all she could think about was being the center of attention.
She sure handled herself with skill and had a slight hand injury to show despite him attacking her. Yet she didn’t go to the police after the crime against her. She just decided to clean up and wash the camera. Then went to the boyfriend without telling him if her close call with death. 😏
When I read the first sentence, I thought you were actually going to defend her. I was instantly annoyed because what she did is of course not defensible in any way. Plus she also seems to be one of the worst, most self-centred, extremely (imagine another 100 ''extremely's''' there) annoying and awful human anyone can possibly be. But then I continued reading and realized you described the crime perfectly! 👏👌
I love how the detective was trying to trick her by saying “is that why you took pictures of him in the shower” and kinda playing it off by laughing but it was a very smart move by trying to make her admit that she in fact was in the shower with him where he was killed. Great detective
@@maryporter1925Oh wow girl, I am surprised you have not heard of this!!! It was blasted on every news channel in the US for over a year. Some believe he led her on because after they broke up and he was seeing someone else he would still hook up with Arias occasionally and she believed they would get back together. There is a new documentary on Hulu centered around her 2 prison friends and they shed a LOT of light on her cunning mental capacity. Small spoiler alert *she did not commit the murder alone, she had an accomplice who has still not been named or charged!* If you are interested in the case definitely watch it. This woman is an absolute psychopath and manipulated every person she came in contact with and she still continues to do it from within the prison walls.
@@maryporter1925 I'm half-remembering this because I'm familiar with the case from a while back, so 'grain of salt' and all that. I BELIEVE, based on the testimony his friends gave, that Travis broke up with her. They all labeled her as the crazy ex-girlfriend after that. BUT he also allowed Jodi to come over for casual sex anyway, which in her crazy mind meant she still had a chance.
@@maryporter1925their relationship had officially ended Jodi even had new partner but they apparently kept meeting for sex. Only Jodi knows why she murdered him, all evidence points to her having some mental/emotional issues, very manipulative & narcissistic tendencies in interrogations & all tv interviews she gave while in prison.
I thought I’ve seen every single videos from this case until I came across your video! Especially many new footages of Travis’s friends interviews & Jodi’s calls with her mom. Thank you EWO for putting this together for us ❤ not much but I will continue to support you. 🇹🇭 Thai fan here!
I nearly didn't click on this, because I have literally watched the entire trial (more than once) and every interview. But the amount of new footage is crazy. Such amazing work you guys, well worth the time and money you spent.
I've watched Travis' story several times. Someone posted about the case in a Facebook group I'm in. They posted some of the autopsy photos. It's not hard to see that Jodi is a psycho but what she did to Travis was just plain cruel, evil and honestly just sick. Travis was left for 5 days until his body was discovered. This whole group of friends is weird. Until watching this video I hadn't seen/heard any of the friends interviews and the calls about Jodi. I also didn't know that one of his roommates was in the house during the 5 days before Travis was found. They did a really good job on this video.
@dwight2310 If you don't like ppl that watch true crime, then why tf are you here? Is your life so sad and pathetic that you attempt to troll ppl on youtube? Get a job or something 🤔 🙄
I’ve researched this case, inside and out….watched every documentary, watched all the interrogations and interviews, watched the whole trial. I’ve read Juan Martinez’s book and Kirk Nurmi’s book……..and YET…….I’m still so excited to see YOU guys cover this! Because I know we’re going to get some really fascinating insights! Your coverage of these cases, is in another league. Thank you for all the hard work and research you put into this……I for one, know it’s not easy. Take care everyone, and stay well.
funny the police said she wasnt strong enough to do it to him untill everyone of his friends names her...... also funny two strong dude were in the house the entire time with a dead body. blood smells people it smells baaaaad. them two dudes would of smelt a 5 day old body.

This is the most amazing channel. The amount of real footage you’re able to get is incredible. The crime scene photos, all the interviews with friends, the real photos off the camera(!), the phone calls from jail. Along with the professional analysis, the quality sets you apart from other channels, just amazing.
Okay it is official, EWU is the best crime channel out there by far. They took a case like the Jodi Arias case, which has been covered and discussed to nauseating lengths, and somehow made it fresh and exciting. Well done, awesome video. Pretty much any other channel I wouldn’t be interested in a Jodi Arias video, but I knew this was going to be good the moment I saw it was EWU.
The voicemails the friends left gave me shook. I’ve watched a million videos and never heard all those before. This channel is excellent and I love the voice over. But that one friend that said i wanna make sure you’re alive. Call me back even if it’s in the spirit world. Was heart breaking. She knew but didn’t know 😞
Yes that was my first time hearing that voicemail and I've seen probably over 100 hrs of this this case being covered including the trial footage but that vmail gave me goosebumps.
This is incredible. I thought I’ve seen everything about this case. I haven’t seen anything apparently! A HUGE shoutout to EWU. You guys are incredible. I can’t imagine all the hard work that was put into this. Amazing job, guys!! 🎉
The parents are literally unbelievable. "Her childhood was normal and happy." Haha! Yeah, right. We've heard that one before. Face it, they created a monster.
My mom had gone to the same jail as Jodi Estrella jail and also went to Perryville with her at the same time. All the inmates hated her. She got special treatment cut up all the clothes and made her own hats. I saw her once visiting and everyone went dead silent in the room. She had no care jail and prison was a vacation for her. Truly a sick individual.
I wonder if she ever did any of the things she said she would do if she got life 🤔 I highly doubt it as she literally lies about every and anything. She makes my blood boil how she acts and it’s no wonder she had any close female friends, I watched this one video where her old friend was describing her and then Travis friends were describing her and it was two completely different things her friend said everyone was drawn to Jodi and would flock around her and his friends aid she was shy and quiet and very odd but I’m sure she told her friend to paint her in the best light in interview’s because all her family told investigators that she was rude and mean to her mom and didn’t listen to anyone. No wonder he was going to tell everyone in Arizona who she really was because she pretended to be someone she wasn’t
This is not in defense of her but she’s been in jail for well over a decade, atp prison is her home so I can see why she appears not to care that she’s imprisoned.
Also I forgot to put in there that she’s used to not paying bills or having to pay rent, she leeched off everyone around her and so of course jail and prison is everything she ever wanted 🤷🏼♀️
@@Jarringline jodie would have done something bad in her life. Either revenge or fraud. It is save to say that she will never change and thats horrible she s beyond help
I can tell from the very beginning that she is a Psychopath. Doing reckless and ridiculous things and saying such hurtful things so casually... are the telltale signs of a Psychopath. If you are dealing with someone being casually hurtful and casually reckless, while being magnetic, you know you are dealing with a Psychopath. Usually, also, having pictures that are EITHER "a smile or no smile, but very static, emotionless eyes" and "super goofy acting/expressions," can also be associated with it, if the above also match. @@Jarringline
If you read the rest of the screengrab of Travis's blog, he says he learned how to turn away from his moms beatings so that most of the blows hit his back and backs of his arms where it was less painful. When you consider he probably did the same when Jodi stabbed him, it explains #1. How he got so many wounds to his back. #2. That he was in significant pain and turned to make it more bearable. Really heartbreaking stuff. 💔 Jodi enjoys every second of limelight she gets. So I'm surprised this was posted 10 days ago. But I am glad you posted just to get a different perspective on that old case, I just hope Jodi isn't relishing in the fantasy that this attention is giving her false fame.
It looks like unfortunately for him, he preferred dominant agressive women as his mother was, I guess Jodi beated him before, he suffered from domestic violence in this case, from women to a man, which is less common but it happens.
@@JoleneSailer We should research if they were real, because I don´t think they were. The defense hardly used them if they did. If they were real, she should have used them from the beginning instead of making up stories.
The jodi arias case was my introduction to becoming all enthralled into true crime. For years and years, just seen the same clips over and over and over. This is absolutely amazing, thank you so much for your hard work. We all appreciate it.
I've dated a girl with BPD for years and when she was having an episode, there was absolutely nothing you could do to talk her down. BPD is a serious mental health problem that can cause people to destroy every relationship in their lives, until they end up alone.
I've had friends with BPD that have been difficult, let alone a relationship. Not all people with BPD are like that obviously, I know other people with BPD and while I wouldnt say I'm close with them they are absolutely fine and kind people who have some problems they are aware of and are working through. But those who are undiagnosed or are diagnosed but actively chose to not work on themselves to manage their symptoms tend to be nightmares.
As someone with diagnosed BPD, I can see this but at the same time having BPD is not synonymous with being evil. You have to actively choose to work on yourself and do the work and while it’s always a struggle, you can manage to better yourself, become more aware of yourself and have healthy relationships.
No wonder why she failed being a photographer. She didn't even know how to take the SD card. Thankfully they found it and was able to use it against her. Seriously evil person who doesn't deserve the air they breathe.
Watching all the footage of his friends and family really highlights the differences between an innocent person's behaviors and a guilty person's behaviors in these interrogations. I only ever watch interrogations of guilty people. I never realized how obvious their "tells" are until I had something to compare them to. Excellent video.
How she only cares about their sexual relationship getting out not why she was arrested for his killing 🙄 he even asks her why she didn’t just flat out say no like an innocent person 🤔 she clearly thought she was smarter then she actually was and never watched any interrogation videos or how to be around the cops she thought her stupid charm would suffice 🤦♀️
I’ve watched this case many times before but you have a never heard before recording of a phone call, that’s why your channel is my favourite there’s always a never seen before or something other RUclips channels have missed. But you don’t mess around or miss anything, absolutely love your channel ❤
You should watch the one where Susan Monica fed workers to her pigs.. the one guy was ADAMANT she did it and his version of life on that farm daily was WAY different then that of the other guy who looked like he had feelings for Susan.
A friend of my girlfriend is a CO at the Prison she's currently at. She's told us she gets like fan mail, money on her books from fans, and throws her pod pizza parties. It's crazy.
I can definitely tell there was a LOT of effort out into this video. You really focus on relative things that we’re said and done. More do, than other channels. We really appreciate your hard work 🧡
Yesssss!!! I laughed out loud on that one but does anyone notice in her younger pictures her nose is very large and in this video you can see that same large nose 🤔 her pictures don’t look that way but I’m sure she knew what her good side was
the way she spoke to her mom broke my heart. like she’s trying to help even though her daughter has done something so horrible and in cold blood, and her daughter has the audacity to speak at her like she’s her servant. that poor mom.
Sandra was Jodi's first and favorite victim. She was severely abused by her own daughter but I don't have any sympathy for Sandy. She attempted to sell the Bob White letters to a tabloid but they rejected the idea of publishing the fake letters. Instead, they ran with a bigger story: "Convicted murder's mother tries to sell fake evidence to a tabloid."
I really appreciate the detective being very calm and calculated the way he speaks with Jodi. I’m not so sure I would be so patient with her! She is really a narcissistic sociopath.
It's your job as an interrogator to be patient and calm to bring the suspect into your confidence and have them lower their guard, they need to feel like you are their buddy and care about them, tell them what they want to hear etc. It's all manipulation and acting.
@@Sean-fj9pn I agree with you to appoint however, I have watched this channel and seen investigators lose their cool with the person that they are interrogating .
@rodrigonavarro4695 Yup, he made money and was in a religious community. The two keys are he made money so he was talented, but was in a religious cult so stupid. Overall easy target in a way
He was abused as a child, not only by his own mother but also by his peers, so it's no wonder he became the target of a narcissistic psychopath. These human-looking demons smell weakness, insecurity and codepedency from miles away. It also explains how hard it was for him to cut her out of his life. She knew that she could manipulate his gentle, generous and empathic nature. When she realized she could no longer control him, she imposed the ultimate control tactic. Ending his life. Absolutely sick to the core. Beware of narcissistic psychopaths people... They are everywhere and looking for the next victim to control and use.
I read somewhere his mother used to hit him, so he'd turn around and take the hits on his back as it would hurt less. He did the same thing while Jodi was stabbing him. That just broke me
That's also because pathological liars Hayes when someone very closer to them see's through them caught up to their lies and no longer are in control it makes them angry and feel hate towards that person or anyone else and that's exactly what happened in this story
EWU, I have never come across such a well put together crime channel. Your content should be considered documentaries for the amount of time, money, resources used to create such captivating videos. You guys are my absolute favourites on RUclips and I look SO forward to your uploads. The time you take to meticulously research each case, put together the facts, lay them out and give us footage we’ve never seen before - of such a widely known case in this particular instance - just never ceases to blow my mind. I will forever be a viewer and supporter of this and all of your other channels. Your content is wonderful and you guys deserve to go so far with your videos. Thank you for the effort put into your content so true crime junkies like myself can binge watch top tier crime documentaries anytime we like 👏🏻 On another note, I’ve watched a lot of different pieces of content, and read different articles on this case and there are many elements I will never understand, but the main one is how pleased she seems with herself and her actions. Pure evil. I’ve seen many cases of it, but it still shocks me every time. May Travis continue to Rest in Peace 🕊️
I went into the comments section just to see if anyone else thought the same thing. There's only one other person that has made this observation. These two are extremely odd and immature.
I have BPD. I suffered for years wondering what was wrong with me. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 22. I’m now 29 and finally have my first healthy relationship and am so happy. It took a lot of therapy and time to get through the worst of my condition. Each person with BPD is different, there’s manic episodes and then self sabotaging behaviours and of course the overwhelming feeling of you’ll be abandoned by everyone at any moment sucks.
@@velveetaslingshotyour anecdotal experience doesn't paint the same for every single person with BPD. It's not all black or white. You don't need to come on here and say such a rude thing to someone who opened up. It's really shitty in fact. Makes me wonder what's up with you.
@@velveetaslingshotmy God, what a cynical approach you have to people who you don't even know!! I have BPD and many people DO. I've also been through 25+ years of therapy and am able to manage it. YOU sound like YOU need therapy and help.

Thank you so much for this deep dive into this addicting case. You included interviews that I’ve never seen before-great additions and a fresh take on a story you’d think had no new information left to discover.
If he wasn't abused as a child, this might have never happened because he would have likely spotted the "off" vibes. Victims of abuse often confuse danger and love - that's all they've been taught. Nobody is a perfect victim. Rest in peace, Travis.
You know NOTHING about NOTHING🤣Not all victims of abuse confuse love and danger. Some victims are WELL AWARE of the danger they are in, but they CHOOSE to stay because they THINK they can CHANGE the person!
This case captivated me back when she was on trial. The pictures of him laying at the bottom of the shower. The last picture of Travis alive in that shower. Before she attacked him. Haunting. The pictures that Jody inadvertently took in the midst of the act, will haunt my dreams forever.

Wow...don't listen to all these comments. People are crazy. No one is perfect, but Travis' particular beginning in life was a tragedy and he seemed like he was most definitely trying to succeed in life the best way he knew how. My condolences to his family and friends.
She got the whole alibi part of the “get away with murder plot” but forgot the more important part of hiding or erasing as much evidence as you can, such as cleaning up blood. Also I just have to say that THAT is one of the most patient detectives I’ve ever seen.
Man, that other guy, Ryan, he dodged a bullet… like literally. I’ve followed this case before and have seen various videos documenting it, but this is definitely the most in depth documentation of this case I’ve ever seen. Very interesting and informative, thank you.
Ryan said he worked in a psychiatric hospital for 2 years and he didn't think anything was strange about her? He spent an entire day with her, now I'm a very observant person. You can learn a lot about people by just asking them a few questions. From the way Jodi even spoke, I would have found something wrong with her right away and I literally have no psychological experience, just my own life experience and things I've learned as I grew up. I definitely would have steered very clear of Jodi.
I mean, there was a whole part of this video where EWU points out that people in those professional situations are just as vulnerable because you're not always in "work mode" in your personal life.
@@spinstermimicYeah and that is true for most every job. You go home and you’re no longer in work mode. Her jailhouse phone calls to her family show she's capable of fabricating those letters from Travis. She's certainly diabolical enough to know how to make those letters sound like they were written by Travis by using phrases he'd use. She can't stop gloating about how good she is at deceiving.
I thought the same thing about the letters & don't understand how they cant be proven to be travis or not. Of course I'm sure they are false but if they were one of these little boys would have come forward by now. How evil to take somebody's life & then smear his reputation afterwards 🤦♀️😖

57:29 "Yeah, Jody. Really." Love how the detective delivered this. Also love that I can get that delivery just from reading the subtitles. This video is informative and incredibly well made.
Thank you for the unexpected validation. My childhood trauma caused me to become a "social chameleon," but I didn't know there was a term for it. I've been learning how to be myself the last few years, but it's harder than one would think. Thank you, guys, for all the hard work you do.
I struggle with this as well. I’ve never thought of it as a bad thing but eventually I ended up feeling like I’m losing myself and questioning who I really am. I’m glad you’re able to push forward and make progress in the “chameleon” phase. Best of luck (:
Not a term as much an expression. For you, during your trauma you changed to fit the situation in order to protect yourself. For example, lie and say everything is ok when it’s not, look happy if you’re yelled at for looking sad. You were basically in survival mode. Ego took over. As childhood is the formative years, that’s where you’ve stayed.
you can be a ''chameleon '' and be very adaptative and flexible thats a good thing, people that are regid and egoistical cannot be like that because its only ''me '' me and ''me '' , dont take every word they say here as true
This is by far the best true crime channel i've ever come across, and i've seen countless hours of true crime. Thank you for all the effort you guys put in, it definitely isn't going unnoticed
Animals, right down to insects, can sense danger because of the chemical impulses one gives off when they have aggression, or intend to do harm. Fear has a different chemical signature. Some people know how to "listen" to that sense, others don't. I'm so glad you covered this in this video. It's similar to how you just know when someone is watching you from behind, or how you can feel someone's presence in a room, but cannot see them. It's all about those receptors in the brain, and being able to tune into them. Always trust your instincts.
This was wiiiiild! Those phone conversations at the end with family really give a great insight as to how everyone has always facilitated her narcissism. God bless Travis and his family and loved ones. So sorry he ever met her.
Definitely! I read Juan Martinez’s book and when interviewing her family members, they said that at family gatherings she would act very condescendingly toward everyone and do things like correct their grammar. She would talk down to her mother for not going to college, meanwhile Jodi herself had dropped out of high school.
I watch a lot of true crime maybe even more than I should but it never fails to make me sick to my stomach when someone after killing someone just barely has any care in the world about it. People like her make me grateful that prisons exist.
The way she looked up, then away in laughter was chilling, haunting and a clear example of how ruthless and dangerous she is! Interesting new footage of the other people being interviewed. Thanks a lot for that. This case, the trial and evidence was one of the most fascinating I’ve ever seen
Is it really you, Jodi? Please go away! You are sooo scary… and you NEVER could’ve snuck me like you did him! If he only suspected it, he would’ve beat tf outta you and threw you out like he often did! Am I right or wrong?
@@PrettyFLY4aWiFi.And “just a regular laugh?” NOT when you’re sitting in an interrogation room for a heinous, unspeakable and in fathomable crime, but, that would seem “normal” to you, because you’re so dead inside that you can’t relate to normal human emotions. I wish you would’ve EVER tried me! If we were locked up together, I would would show you and give you a taste of your own medicine! You absolutely deserved the Death Penalty and You know it’s true
@@PrettyFLY4aWiFi. Hey Jodi, why did you fill all three gas cans in Salt Lake City? That was a genius move. We love your 2020 mugshot. Really shows off your beauty
I remember watching the trial and I very clearly remember my own, as well as my mom's and sister's reactions when Jodi tried to turn it around like Travis was the bad guy. We were in shock. At first we were honestly afraid that she would pull it off. But none of us believed it for a second and we all had these looks on our faces that were a mix of being shocked and pissed off. I can't even imagine what that must have felt like for Travis's loved ones. What an utter piece of shlt.
i’ve been obsessed with this case but i’ve never seen the interviews with his friends. very interesting and tells a lot more to the story! thank you EWU for your hard work
I have seen so much misinformation about this case and it's so nice to be able to see a full in depth look at the case in its entirety and the retrial without added false info! This is why I love this channel so much! I always learn something new
Just when you think true crime can’t get more interesting. EWU drops new info on a case we think we know everything about. Thanks for all the time and $ you put into this.
Thanks for all you guys put into these videos! You've given me a new standard for my true crime binging, and it's tough to keep up but you guys go above and beyond!
I remember this case so vividly but the amount of extra details you put in here made it sound like a whole new story which was so awesome to listen to! I was in high school at the time of the trial and the murder took place down the street from my house. Everyone was talking about it. She is a sick individual. May travis rest in eternal peace.
I started watching this channel's videos a while ago. I harshly judged for the watermark and the voice seemed like one of those AI slapped together kind of channels. I was way off and wanted to say thank you to all who come together for these hours of edutainment. You guys are one of the best crime channels on YT. Someone is meticulous in gathering all necessary content and video. So many times, with other channels, massive cases are all reduced to 10-20 mins to milk ad revenue efficiently. I feel like this project from end to end takes pride in their work. Every video is truly a crime doc masterpiece. It's so nice to have diligent data aggregators/researchers to rely on. I trust you all when it comes to true crime. Thanks for consistently showing how scholarly a RUclips channel can be. You set the standard.
There was some really interesting new footage in this. Yeah, sure most of us have heard this story before, but there are so many twists and turns that it’s easy to forget some of the detail. Thank you. Also, it really sucks that this poor man’s death has turned into such a nightmarish circus. I feel for his family. Not only were they victims of his murder, but they are also victims of the terrible lies she told about him. I hope they take some solace in the fact that the vast majority of people are behind them in this. I hope that Travis, wherever he is, is at peace.
Not all of it was lies though. Travis used her, on the outside he try to make it look like he was a good Mormon boy. In reality he was a user, and a pervert.
She also managed with those letters to destroy the mans legacy. Does anyone believe that horse shit? She is a compulsive liar who lurches from one bad take to another. Those letters were a low blow as she would have revealed them immediately if they were true and got a plea deal
This woman makes my skin crawl. She doesnt deserve to leave a jail cell for the rest of her life. Love the videos always so excited to see when i get the notification!!! So much detail goes into them. Happy to be here
Case aside for a second: I absolutely love listening to detective Flores. He speaks so gently, yet he's so firm in everything. With this voice and tone, he could call me the worst things and still I'd be falling in love if he just kept talking long enough. What is this sorcery?! 😂
EWU: “You can’t live every moment hyper aware.” My anxiety: “And I took that personally!” In all seriousness though, fantastic coverage of this case. Love this channel.
I am much less hyper-vigilant since I started +erall to treat the adhd my parents swore I didn't have... 30 years later there's a lot of damage to deal with
As a person who has spent an entire YEAR following this case day after day at work after it happened, it sickened me to my core that this horrible person did what she did. Never in my life have I seen something like this throughout watching these kinds of cases, and thanks to EXPLORE WITH US, I now have experienced unreleased and unseen footage that filled the gaps that other news organizations couldn't. Thank you for uploading this.
7:43 I’ve been surrounded by people like Jodi, and other types of narcissists/sociopaths, since the moment I was conceived, therefore, I feel very confident about what I’m going to say. I guarantee you, Jodi wrote that email. I’m so sure that I’d bet on it. That’s why his actions, in person, were different, and I’m also certain that was only one of many emails/texts she sent as him.
I had an uncle and he was like Travis in fact similar family background where his family wasn’t very stable and as a kid he was ignore and bullied , he was extremely nice to my aunty inside the house or around her family but as soon as they will go out his whole demeanor will change , he ll pretend as if he’s the boss or he doesn’t care about her as much age does . she used to be very depressed with his behavior and her friends even encouraged her to divorce him but she was so confused and attached to him that she won’t leave .
Really appreciate all the work you put into making this video. I have watched a lot about this case, but the calls and interviews with Travis's friends is new to me...thank you.
There was a true crime channel that mentioned murderperdia and I made the mistake of visiting the the site. (DONT DO IT) This case came up and so did the autopsy photos. What she did to that guy was horrific. Hearing what people are capable of doing and actually seeing are two different worlds.
Thank you for the warning. I do my best to stay away from graphic violence and gore, even in movies. I had never heard of that site and will make sure to stay away. I love true crime, but have no desire to see actual crime scene photos
Now I have to! But I'm scared... Been to the dark web long ago. Everyone says it's fake...but the stuff from 2009 looked to real. Scarred for life. Yeah, maybe I won't. But, why do you put this up here??!!🤣😝
@@93FilmsandMediame too! this Interrogator was incredibly skilled, he did such an amazing job of tearing apart her story so easily bit by bit and forcing her to make new parts, its clear hes taking advantage of her inability to act under pressure effectively and using his many past experiences as an interrogator and investigator, such as the comment about the knife slipping because of blood.
I loved when she began crying, and Juan asked her if she cried while stabbing him. He wasn't going to allow the jury to have sympathy for her. Amazing prosecutor!
I just watched 2 other creators do the same case, and yours is leaps and bounds beyond anything I have come across. You make amazing content that is respectful to the victims and their loved ones. Please keep doing what you do best!

Maybe they smoke a lot of weed.
well there ARE roommates out there who really don't hang out like that. some would just go home, sleep, eat and just do whatever outside. watching the interrogation of one of the roommates who discovered his body, it doesn't look like he was familiar with Travis' routines and doesn't know him on a much deeper and personal level. I mean he said he assumed Travis was out on a trip.
I wondered the same thing!

I still can’t believe how much evidence was collected during this investigation and she is completely in denial about the fact that she did it
Well I think she is just such a compulsive liar that she is incapable of admitting fault.

Because it's not regulated
Those shows are more for titillation than facts. TV generally sensationalises to make people go "Ooooooo". Gotta get ratings. They try to draw in people who don't know much. Whereas this channel, albeit wanting views, knows its audience and knows they want as many facts as possible. And more insights. Hold the sensationalism. TV shows aren't about insight.

Great breakdown I couldn’t put it in words why I like them so much thanks for that !
Detective Flores is superb at his job. He remained calm, showed her respect and spoke in low soothing tones. It takes someone very competent and experienced to not lose their cool while dealing with this horrific woman.
When he comes back in room and says he cares how she feels....underrated genius move. Flores is a master.
I thought he sounded really creepy and intimidating lol
He was cookin’
If only more of my state's officers were as competent as him...
That's one way to sum it up..
Couldn't have said it better myself!
She should never be free in society again. She’s a truly dangerous evil person who must be confined, and away from everyone else.
Took the words right out of my mouth!
Yea this detective was superb.

Haha!

I've dated a girl with BPD for years and when she was having an episode, there was absolutely nothing you could do to talk her down. BPD is a serious mental health problem that can cause people to destroy every relationship in their lives, until they end up alone.
I dated one too. Worse 3 years of my life.
@@bobbyincidemetalprobably the worst 3 years of her's too
I've had friends with BPD that have been difficult, let alone a relationship.

Am a truck driver and you guys keep me entertained and engaged thank y'all for these amazing stories❤
Although I love the narrator's voice, it always has the effect of sending me off to sleep, so take care on the road!
@sheilaboston7051 definitely, actually, I feel anything close to that, I just pull over to a safe haven and get some rest.
EWU: “You can’t live every moment hyper aware.”
My anxiety: “And I took that personally!”
In all seriousness though, fantastic coverage of this case. Love this channel.
ADHD peeps 👀 💦
As someone with anxiety this is definitely very true. I tend to read into things and overthink shit that isn't even a real issue. Thanks Anxiety lol
I thought I was alone in this 😂
My Brain: Hold my panic attacks 😢
*Felt* *That*
I am much less hyper-vigilant since I started +erall to treat the adhd my parents swore I didn't have...
And she's out soon if not already. :/.
100%
💯💯💯💯
I immediately thought the same thing!! The tone it that e Mail was SO HER
Really appreciate all the work you put into making this video. I have watched a lot about this case, but the calls and interviews with Travis's friends is new to me...thank you.
This case was ALL over the news growing up in Arizona, she’s a sick a twisted woman and I’m glad to see the jury found her guilty.
She’s pure evil
growimg up in arizona...oh my god i feel old it feels like it was just a few years ago
She is truly a frightening human! You’re dedication and hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you for another masterpiece of a video!
the embodiment of modern California- extreme.
There was a true crime channel that mentioned murderperdia and I made the mistake of visiting the the site. (DONT DO IT) This case came up and so did the autopsy photos. What she did to that guy was horrific. Hearing what people are capable of doing and actually seeing are two different worlds.
I wish i had listened to you honestly i have a fucking headache now. Rest in peace to Travis 😔
Murderpedia is awesome. Great resource.
One time I was watching a video on RUclips and didn’t think it would actually show anything super graphic but it showed the actual footage of a man committing suicide by a self inflicted gunshot to the head and I could not sleep for like 2-3 days because of the image of that man being in my head 😔☹️
this Interrogator was incredibly skilled, he did such an amazing job of tearing apart her story so easily bit by bit and forcing her to make new parts, its clear hes taking advantage of her inability to act under pressure effectively and using his many past experiences as an interrogator and investigator, such as the comment about the knife slipping because of blood.
I can't forget how Juan Martinez (the prosecutor) was so dedicated to the case and how fascinating was to watch the trial and his arguments.
Watching him articulate and dismantle her in ways I was never able to with my abuser was so cathartic. He was my stand in lol.
I loved when she began crying, and Juan asked her if she cried while stabbing him. He wasn't going to allow the jury to have sympathy for her. Amazing prosecutor!
His book was excellent too.
I just watched 2 other creators do the same case, and yours is leaps and bounds beyond anything I have come across. You make amazing content that is respectful to the victims and their loved ones.
Please keep doing what you do best!
I’ve seen all the documentaries and RUclips videos I could find on this case over the years, and yet this channel continues to amaze and come through with things I’ve never seen or knew before
The way you guys cover these stories is some of the best I've ever seen.
