  • We did this project for the inaugural Moab Showdown 49 Hour Film Celebration which was put on by the Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission November 7th-November 10th, 2019.
We were given the line "What would Charlie Think?" as a line of dialogue to be included in our film. A prop was revealed at the event kickoff, and was a bone. We had 2 BLM locations available and permitted as a part of the event, and one privately owned location that we chose at the event start. We chose a bowling alley and 2 local spots (which I will not discIose) knew would look good with my drone while not losing time traveling too far. We also drew genres randomly out of a hat and each team was given a choice of two genres. Our choices that we drew were either "slapstick" or "disaster film." For us the choice was easy and unanimously disater film. We brainstormed for about 4 hours before heading out to make sure and catch the first evening's light and met again the next morning at 6:30 am for our call time. We shot all day, barely pausing for eating or drinking and then I literally stayed up all night editing until noon two hours before deadline time.
