- In this video, I answer the question of whether or not the Meike MK - a7r4, and probably others comparable with Sony VGC-4EM battery grip for the Sony a7riv, will work on the Sony a7siii. I also do a comparison of the Vello BG-S7 vs. Meike A7R-IV battery grips on my Sony a7siii. In conclusion, I show a quick bit of how I use the battery grips. Then I compare the build quality and overall I rate the buttons and switches while letting you hear them in action before giving my thoughts on the Meike battery grips for Sony alpha series mirrorless cameras.

I do a lot of back button focusing and that mieke AF on button looks pretty flush. I haven't heard anyone really talk about it being good or not, so what's your opinion on it?
I had the mieke grip for the a7III and i believe the AF on button matched the camera's af on button, so i'm curious why they decided to go with more of a flush button and not just use the old button.
I don't have any autofocus lenses and never used them on Sony, so I really can't say.
Hello, could you tell me please is it possible to put 1 battery and 1 dummy battery (220v power) in this grip?
To work via 220v power but have a backup as a battery?
Does it have a hole for cord from dummy battery?
There is no hole, and I do not know for sure if it works with a dummy battery; likely. Please post the results if you try it.
