@@myass5964 Same wish my dad would’ve made more time to teach me more. Doesn’t matter how many times I offer still doesn’t happen guess I’ll work on my stuff alone.
@@jessicacordova5024 I had to come to the same conclusion, it's funny once I broke out of the mold and won't talk to him, now he tries to be a good dad and it's like your only 20 years late bud
Nothing wrong with a young man getting dirty and working for what he wants. Keep it up big dog. Plus he's learning stuff alone the way while you show him how to work on stuff.
That is one blessed 16 year old. I’d have done just about anything for a big block 4x4 square at 16. Not to mention the experience of having built it with dad.
I've got a 1974 c20 that I'm putting a 350 in with my dad, I wish we had anywhere near this amount of tools and understanding. Also mines only 2 wheel drive for now but I definitely plan on making it 4 wheel drive done day
Congrats Landon on your build. Not only are you building your first truck, you are building memories of time spent with your Dad. Years from now this will be a special time in your life to look back on and smile.
its so awesome to see how much your family does together . seeing your boy right with you building and learning and your wife being so support of want you do....your an example of this world needs today...I say thank you..
Never really had a dad growing up. Had to learn to work on cars by myself. Watching this channel and seeing how Paul teaches his sons even if I didn’t have a dad, I picture myself being one of Paul’s kids because I’m learning so much more.
Your channel never seems to get old Paul. All the projects you do are interesting; even the Go carts. Pretty cool to see the family working together also. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the surprise video.. got up this morning was sick yesterday went to bed early so, Time to go out and work on some stuff I have to do... still got one of two vehicles to get running. Haven’t been running for the last two months been. Then depending on the other people for food and medical help great people that help me.. Live in Smith Valley or Wellington Nevada love watching your videos I learn a lot I’m 75... Vietnam vet I have the VA as my medical which is great... thanks again..
The best time spent is what you two are doing right now. And the sweat equity he is putting into that project will make him repeat it tons more than handing him keys. FAB Rats you are truly an inspiration to all that watch you!!
Did this to my 82 f150. Its now got a 1969 302 in it with an aod trans. Took the dana 44ifs, transfer case and rear end from a 92 bronco. Fun fun fun. Lol. Lot of work
So love how you treat your son, you are a shining example of a father passing on his knowledge and skills to a new generation. A beacon of hope in a world that seems to have lost its way.
Your smile as you were towed from the shed was a million dollar smile Landon, your dad is a beautiful man and your mother an angel, how lucky are we all to share in your family’s kindness
Landon will remember this time with Dad for his entire life.... My dad and I rebuild a motorcycle when I was 15 and I always think about our time together. Son and Dad working together is a great thing !!!
I worked on many projects with my Dad at the time I did not appreciate it. Now so many years after he is gone I cherish every moment of those projects. Soak up every moment.
That's so cool that your Dad & you are Building your Truck together Landon.😊 I never got the chance to do that with my Father. Take every single chance that you get to spend time with your Father.
That truck will always have a special place in Landon's heart. Not only his first, but it's a project he gets to work on with his dad & grandpa. He may not always have it, he most likely will do what typical teenagers do, but deep down it will always hold a special place in his heart. A father/son project.
I love how you turn the work over to your son's and give them the guidance needed. You are a great teacher. Even your eight year old gets hands on experience. At the end of the day I'm sure they are full of pride with their accomplishments. I know that you do all the welding that involves safety. I would like to see them learning more about welding. I still cringe when I see them using a cut off wheel without gloves. I've sent you pictures of what can happen when a cut off wheel explodes with welding gloves on. Safety first. Stuff can go bad in a blink of an eye and when least expected. Knowledge is priceless and best learned not the hard way. Thanks for sharing all that you do. Stay safe healthy and happy 👍 Oh by the way wheaties are best with a dusting of sugar.
I got a couple of simple tips for ya...For catching coolant or other fluids in the shop and not make a mess...... take an old plastic fuel tank and cut the top off add some handles and a pour spot. I use a square, flat bottom van gas tank. It is so easy to kick it under a car/truck and not worry about it splashing all over and making a mess. Our antifreeze goes into a "recycler" bucket. The bucket is a 5 gallon bucket with a spicket about 1.5" from the bottom. This allows oil to float up and the dirt to settle out to the bottom. Then you can get the clean coolant out of the middle.
I miss the heck out of my sons being this age. Teaching them, seeing them learn, the smiles on their faces, all of it. Enjoy every minute Paul. These days are far too short.
Nothin like a father son project, I wish my dad would have been into this kind of stuff like I am! Your a great dad! Can't wait to see all the progress!
Hi Paul & Landon, Haaaa !!! A father and son working together makes me so pleased and it does warm my heart !!! A question dear friend Paul, WHEN WHEN are you going to reconstruct a 6 wheel drive with a super V8 petrol engine !!! BETTER THEN THE MORRWAY !!! This project would be just great / TOP !!! with super VIDEO !! Warm regards to each one of the beautiful family !!!
Lan, I hope you treasure these days with (Paul) your father. My Dad and I spent every Saturday "playing" together just like that, until he was 90. He was my best friend!
Nice work. I love that your teaching your son ! If my father never took the time to make me the mechanic I am now I’d be screwed! Saves yourself so much money and keep passing it on down the family
One thing I wished I learned how to do was to weld. I always had someone to do the welding from me, but now that I don't, it sucks. SO I hope Landon learns how to do everything from you, Paul. I'm sure he knows how to weld, but in case he hasn't learned yet, he should. I love what you're doing with this truck.
Mad love for ur whole family my brother. This is what America was founded on , fathers teaching sons and a village raises all the children. None of the inner city where noone knows their neighbors
These videos make me wish I my dad was around more when I was a kid. Landen is gunna be a Fab Rat just like you an that’s what this country needs. Love the channel y’all rock
It makes this ol' grandpa smile watching you "advise" your son whilst he does the wrenching! This is the best way to teach your kids how to WORK for something they want, not doing it for them. Props to you guys! And on top of all that, he has a job!!!
Paul is the absolute wizard of MAKE IT WORK!!! It’s amazing to watch how when the parts don’t work or fit, the Wizard turns to his torch or hammer and wa-la he’s happy with that. Michelle love your cameo drop by’s. Hope the non-wheaties eating kid totally understands and appreciates what the Wizard is passing on to him. Every kid should be so lucky…He does seem to be humble and appreciative!!!! I ordered one of your guys T shirts, it’s on back order, so I’ll be looking forward to getting it! Great job to all, your fan, Tc from Nevada
A father and son working on a project together makes my heart happy. Makes me miss my dad. 😊
you're forgetting grandpa Sherman, 3 generations working together
My dad just made empty promises of how we would do this, he just bought time till I was 18 and said well son your happiness is your problem

I know Landon is going to enjoy driving this truck, because of knowing and doing the fab on this truck with his dad makes it a that more special.
The education and time spent with his dad is priceless!! Great fathering Paul!

You and Tom are the best! Thanks for the delicious meal!
11:45, Landon, I recommend heaping Tablespoons of OVALTINE CHOCOLATE MALT in place of Sugar on your WHEATIES cereal...

Good to see a youngster learning from his dad .
Gonna be a nice rig .
That’s a happy kid. He will earn the right to be proud of that rig!
I like the cunifer brake line. Easy to work with and it never corrodes. I used the cunifer on my 86 Grand Prix

Big block 4x4, first truck, Lucky young man! Plus all the learning. 👍🏻💪🏼🇺🇸
WOW, what great memories you are making with your boy! Great job!!! J.R.
Great video. What a father son and partial grandfather project.
Great progress you may want to build a steering box brace those trucks have a bad problem with cracking the frame behind the box
I've got a 67' GMC 3/4 ton w/400ci small block, converted into 4x4 looks the same way,but the high steer kit is incredibly nice love the content
Landons grin while you were pulling the truck out of the shop says it all.
You will always remember helping your son memories to reflect upon In your old age !
Only way to learn is making him do the work while you supervise. Great job kid! Great channel!
Way to go Dad!!#1
It's so cool that your family is so close and do such together. Not always the case.👍
