About the camshaft problem.....I rebuilt my own small block chevy in my living room when I was 24. It ran great in my 72 4x4.... until it didn't. When the autopsy was done it was determined that I installed the cam wrong and the lifters didn't spin on the cam lobe and wore the lifters in one spot and wiped out the cam lobes and lifters and sent metal through the entire engine. It was a good lesson though. Awesome truck by the way 👌

If it is something minor and easy to change after the fact, ebay or amazon is fine to make the gamble on. If it is a critical internal engine part, you should be paying up for the good stuff. Engine internals are not the place to try and save money.

He’s just pretending to care for the camera. Landon will be ripping burnouts himself once mom and dad aren’t in the truck with him. I give those back tires a year.

Well done! It's super exciting to see it up and running. Glad you got the engine sorted out. I was so happy to hear Paul's quick comment about fixing the steering wheel be during the test drive. 😅 The OCD bug jumped up and tried to bite me there. 😂 👍🏻🥳

Yep, and he also noted it handled poorly, so not only get the wheel straightened, it likely needs a full alignment and maybe something else to help the ride/handling a bit, but you can only do so much with a true 4x4 though.

Wow what a mess that turned into !! I can't believe the cam tore up that bad that quick good grief , but now it sounds so good !! I like the big mirrors , better to see out of, just put a couple spot mirrors on the lower corner on each side and be done .. You guy's are Awesome !!

The cost of that short burnout is well worth all the work your dad put into this for you, Landon. I'm betting he spent some money to fix it right as well before it was all said and done. Give him a hug and father's day should be killer for Paul that year!! :P

Great Video Thanks for sharing your family. Paul and Melissa great parenting. When I was young many lessons both good and bad were learned in the shop. I learned much from just listening. Have a great Day. Thanks for keeping it real
