Rocky while I currently have an iPhone 11, they’re in no way superior. Android and iOS both have their pros and cons. To list a few, iPhones lack fast charge technology and Apple still refuses to switch their dated lightning cable to a modern usb-c cable.
@Rocky The only thing I would argue Apple is superior with are notebooks for work. The phones are simply in so many ways disappointing, like coming with a trash charger, offering no SD card slots and ridiculously small storage, low resolution screens with big ugly notches, small batteries and low ram, all the while being priced far above the phones they actually compete with. Sure, the processor is the best on the market right now, but who cares. This is a phone - not a gaming PC. I'm not going to sacrifice anything to make it run some mobile game 7 fps faster. Not to mention high repair fees. While this is opinion based I also prefer Android over IOS, I want to customize my device to however I like. While not having a universal design that goes across all apps and lacking the simplicity of IOS at some parts, Android just feels more free.
@Rocky That's a totally reasonable argument, of course. IOS has a sleek design that goes across all apps and that's nice. I, personally, just find it way more important to be able to customize it to my liking. I can't say anything about tablets, because I have no idea. I heard good things about the Samsung tablets, but I really can't judge. There's also the thing that if you're already in the hole that is Apple's ecosystem, you're in many cases better off going for more Apple products, since they at least work well together. I was mostly thinking of Iphones and Macs, Macbooks are probably the best Notebooks for working on the go (If you don't care about money) and Ipads may also have their good points. I just found your original comment to be unreasonable, I'm annoyed by all the people that never had used an Android phone, except that one time they got a really cheap one and are complaining how much worse it is than a newer Iphone for five times the price, or not even realizing that Android is just an OS that's used by lots of competetive phonebrands and that Apple is only one of them. Well, the most important thing is that you are happy with what you have.
I just got the Double Cash card a couple weeks ago here. My first "big kid" card, per say. I prefer to mess with card applications as little as possible, so a good long-term card was the appeal over signing bonuses
I’ve had mine for years it’s one of the best cards. I get hundreds of dollars back all the time. It’s a good all around card and pay it off every month. Graham knows what he’s talking about obviously.
If it was me working at apple i would have said. 1% using card 3% with apple pay 5% apple store purchases. That way you make more people use apple pay and the 5% bonus might make more people go visit stores
mobious01 That’s too generous considering that there are no cards that offer that much. I would have said 1.5% using card, and I would keep everything else the same as Apple. That way the card would compete with 1.5% cash back cards and has the potential be a 2% card when using Apple Pay.
I agree. I get 3% with online purchases with Bank of America Cash Rewards, so I can just buy Apple products online. I get 2% grocery and Costco. I get 3% restaurant and 4% gas with Citi Costco Visa. The cashback I get at the end can be put back into my bank account so I can get more cashback off of that.

I love how apple Is always 1-3 years behind on everything and then talk it up as if their stuff is amazing. I have the citi card didn't know it offered the extra warranty that's pretty sweet!
While Apple is usually never on the bleeding edge of technology (or finance in this case), you have to admit that when they do come out they tend to be very slick and already have 99% of the issues ironed out. For example, they have done facial recognition (something many other phones have already done) much better than any competition out there. Even touch screen phones in general were already available before the first iPhone came out, but that first iPhone took the touch screen idea and made it better. That's what I think Apple does when its all said and done, and as an Android and Windows user I have to admit that Apple makes sure that it doesn't put out half baked products. However, I can't really speak on this Apple Card since I don't really know enough about this in general.
Syed Mahdi I agree. Though Apple can be years behind, I always gave them credit for having a perfectly TOP notch feature that beats their competitors’. They always provide the best for their customers but they are also restricting too much
With time i'm sure they will offer rewards , just have to trap some defaulters into the debt cycle first then what they earn from them can be gifted to those doing well .
Goldman Sachs stated that they are considering to launch globally at some point. While not special in the US market, 1 to 3% cashback would be huge here in Germany. The best you can get is 1% with a card that's totally unattractive in any other aspect. Generally good cards have 0 to 0.5% cashback over here...
@Chris M Apple is shite, overpriced bling, that isn't well made for the money and they treat their customers like idiots. I don't waste my money on vanity, just things that work!
Apple wants to know how much everyone spending on what products and this is a way for them to track all their users then optimize prices of their products to what people are spending.
Yeah, 3% is too low. Even 4% would stand out. A lot of cards have a 3% category but VERY few have a 4% category - I can only think of two and one has an annual fee and one doesn't.
It should be 5% in the Apple store like Target does with their redcard. That 2% extra wouldn't hurt their profits and would probably sell more in the end.
I have one. Only perk I really like is the availability to buy apple products at no interest financing monthly which doesn’t lock you into cell carriers
You can pay off Credit cards straight after purchase. Treat it like a debit card, paying off the balance as they come, and you won't have to pay interest, as well as getting cash back. Also, if you want to qualify for a car loan/ mortgage, you'll want to start building credit.
Actually, it will be much easier to get an Apple Card. Since this is a no fees at all card, the more people that can get an Apple Card is how Apple will make their money. Most people won’t pay off their credit card in full and Apple will generate much revenue from all the interest charges. So while Samsung is playing around with foldable phones, Apple will be making serious money with their new credit card. And this is just the beginning.
I have 2 credit cards but I haven’t checked my credit in so long I don’t know if I will qualify. I had 2 surgeries and have been off work for a lil while so some of my bills fell behind until I get back to my full rate of pay so that’s why I thought I couldn’t qualify. But my daughter is graduating and going off to college. And if I get denied now I’ll never get one in the future
3 credit cards right off the top of my head with 0 annual fees, no foreign transaction fees and much better perks, including signup bonuses (and I own all three of these cards) - * American Express Hilton Honors (AMEX with no foreign transaction fees) * Deserve Edu Mastercard (MasterCard with no foreign transaction fees) * Bank of America Travel Rewards Card (VISA with no foreign transaction fees) On top of this there's Discover Cards with no foreign transaction fees, i.e. if you can get a merchant outside US to accept Discover Cards :)
One day my interest rate increased, the rep said very plainly: we are giving people sign on bonuses and 0% interest rates so we are spreading the cost to existing customers.....your main reason for not getting the card is due to no sign on deal 👎 those deals are not free, they do not show responsibility for not adding debt to someone else that did not create the debt
The only real cost for having this card is a 5/24 slot. Otherwise, it’s good to have it in the credit card arsenal regardless of how much or how little you spend. Not everyone is in a position to meet minimum spends on high AF cards. A no annual fee card with no foreign transaction fees is super underrated and not seen enough in the market. It’s not the best with savvy points players but I like having solid no-fee cards for credit purposes just in case travel rewards become less of a priority in the future.
well, an AppleCare is not a extended warranty as Citi card provided. Warranty would not let you to repair a screen crack at a discount price. So your point of comparing a 1% more cash and 2 year warranty is not a apple to apple comparison.
@@logisec depends on how the screen is cracked. If by dropping or other "not use as instructed", warranty wouldn't cover it. If normal it is during normal use, which would rarely be a case for screen crack, I think warranty would cover. It's easy to detect whether you have dropped the phone, after all they are not that solid.
Very underrated comment. An extended warranty is NOT AppleCare. An extended warranty will cover everything under the regular Apple Warranty. Extended Warranties DO NOT COVER what actually matters, physical damage. That is a very bad argument by this guy.
A couple of positives. 1 is Daily Cash is unlimited, no cap on how much you get back in rewards. The reward % are definitely poor but I do think the 2% on Apple Pay have potential if Apple Pay becomes widely accepted especially by smaller regional stores and services.
Artoria Pendragon All flagships are now in the same price range as the iPhone and iPhone is ahead in CPU technology, Face scanning technology, photo processing technology, and now AR technology. All theses so called better phones only advertise some bigger numbers that don’t really amount to that much in actual real world usage. You are the same type who buys cheap telescopes that advertise “500x ZOOM!” and think “we’ll that expensive telescope from Orion only has 100x zoom. Clearly the cheaper is super technology”. Of course you aren’t actually looking at the numbers that actually matter like how much light it can take in. Zoom means nothing if it doesn’t have anything t zoom on due to lack of light.

I’ve actually had AppleCare on nearly all of the Apple devices I’ve owned. I’m well aware that in addition to the extension of warranty, depending on the device, you can have it replaced for free or some amount less than the full retail value. On my first MacBook Pro, AppleCare really came in handy as the device needed repair outside of the first year (the warranty I would’ve had without AppleCare). And I’m very happy that the Apple Store will take care of repairs/replacements for you. Although AppleCare and credit card extended warranty are not the same thing, it seems (based on my reading) that you can have one after the other. Have AppleCare for 3 years (that encompasses the 1st year that you already get) for a MacBook Pro, then take advantage of the extended warranty after that. If you paid with Citi or Amex, you would get the 2-year extended warranty. So you would have a total of 5 years of warranty coverage (although the first 3 are with Apple Care).
No longer have extended warranty with citi double card. Also it isn’t 2%. It is 1 % UNTIL you pay it back. So most will incur APR fees on top just like everything else.
So? Just pay it back on time. There's no reason people should be spending money that don't have using credit cards. These bonuses reward those that pay back on time.
The credit card game is a billion dollar industry. I wouldn’t tell people it is 2%. It is misleading. Tell them it’s a charge card that you have to pay every month. Most people probably close to 80% -90% carry a balance. I would use the Capital one platinum that would give you 1.5% cash back right out the gate. If cash back is your game.
Apple Pay can be accepted anywhere that accepts PayWave/PayPass. Visa and MC already mandate all merchants to accept Contactless transaction since October 2018. Get your facts right.
@@dejancar2732 So it's OK for Apple to issue in 2019 a credit card with magnetic band which will require that 'Dated' tech but we also need replace every working terminal in the world just because Apple devices won't support both?
It makes your total available credit look huge, which usually raises your score. I’ve found that it’s too much work to try to use a bunch of cards regularly though, easier to consolidate and keep track of just a few.
Yeah, in Usa a part of your credit score is considered good if your using less than 30% of your avaible credit limit, so the more credit cards you have that are paid off the better your score, if you only have one card and it’s limit is $700 but you usually always have it paid off but it normally goes up to $650 filled up from bills and whatnot, that’ll look really bad as that’s close to using all your avaible credit even though your good and paying it off all the time.

Wait, no foreign transaction fee? That's a big selling point. Why wouldn't they include that in their video's list of fees they don't charge (6:30)? Side note, my favorite card, the Chase-Amazon Visa, also doesn't charge an annual or foreign transaction fee.
I have the Chase Amazon card and I love it too you’re right there’s no hidden fee HOWEVER you are paying the $99+ prime annual cost. So that’s like there version of an annual fee
Any new tradeline is good for boosting your score if you can keep the balance low. I got a $700 limit with no hassle, and that increases my available credit, which will increase my score. I dig it.
In the UK it's not so much of a problem to require something like Apple Pay as it uses the same technology as contactless credit cards/debit cards which have become pretty much mainstream here.
I got accepted for mine today, and honestly the biggest advantage for me is going to be the no foreign transaction fees. Just for that I find it pretty useful.
I personally have this credit card and I have to say I haven’t been disappointed with it. Do I wish they would offer a little bit more? Absolutely, but at the same time for general use it’s pretty good. All the stores I go to take Apple Pay so I get my 2% majority of the time in my local area. The data it shows tracking what I spend, when I spend it and where is very helpful and it’s helped me show where I shouldn’t have made some purchases. Overall, to me, the ease of use and having all the information right there at your literal fingertips is insanely helpful.
Be very wary with credit card extended warranty. Sometimes the excess fee is more expensive the more claims you make. Also you need to send the product away to be serviced as opposed to taking it to the Genius Bar. Fell victim to this with my iPad Pro when the screen cracked. With Apple it would be serviced same day on apple care. On credit card I waited a week for the repair and had to pay £50 fee
You must be homeless with all of those non Apple credit cards you have with their high interests and tons of fees? No? Then why would am Apple credit card make got homeless? That's one of the stupidest Apple hate mongering comments I've ever heard.
Jordan Sharpe If Apple made a smartphone that was 10 years ahead of the competition in every department and priced it at 100 dollars more than the competition, you would still be complaining about the price. The real sheep are those who hate something just because it’s the popular thing to hate right now.
Joe Hamelin of course. They need people like you to keep paying minimum payments so you pay so much interest that you end up paying an extra $200-$300 for a new apple product.
I think i've been using this for about 3-4 months now and I actually really like it as a starter card. I was able to use it internationally and not deal with transaction fees / foreign fees / having internet access just by using my phone. I don't use the physical card and just use the statement balance to pay off the balance of my card and use my debit account to pay the difference. Definitely not good for rewards or perks, but the cashback is nice to manage my overall spending :)
FYI, AppleCare+ covers accidental damage. The extended manufacturer's warranty through CC's does not. The best is to still get AppleCare+ and pay with a CC that extends THAT warranty so you get accidental damage coverage for 3+ years.

Apple blowhards: "Have you heard of this thing called a credit card? It's crazy, you don't even need cash to buy things. Apple, always changing the game."
2% daily cash back on mobile payments is a long term play into mobile banking. Daily cash back is much more valuable than monthly. If other cards don’t adjust, in the next 5-10 years when mobile pay continues to expand people will start getting this card.
They have a sign up bonus because they don’t need to. Apple doesn’t need to offer people additional benefits because their name already has enough brand recognition where people will buy it for the flex.
Good video Graham I’ve been waiting for your release! I just covered this yesterday on my channel. It’s nothing revolutionary haha but I do think it’s a smarter card to help people be more financially responsible. Especially those you struggle with financial health. For serious credit card churners though I would stay away since the benefits aren’t there 👌🏽
I love the Apple Card. Most restaurants I like to eat at have Apple Pay and my local gas station uses the Verifone thing that lets me use my Apple Watch to. I make like $10-$15 a month just using it and it’s instantaneous. The cash back comes in literally a day later. I use Citi bank double cash back for everything else but the Apple Card is so cool and the instant cash back is awesome. But then again I don’t spend thousands of dollars a month. I only spend maybe $20 a week on groceries $10 on food and $50 on gas. So I’m sure there’s better cards if you spend more which I don’t.

@Rocky To you, but to others iOS just isn't for them.

I’m sure you have to have a 800 credit score to qualify. I like to buy and pay for my stuff up front so I don’t owe anybody anything.
I never thought about it like that. Plus I never get approved for anything because I pay cash for everything. But I’ll try
Alonda Guillory - Fun fact. Everyone that can’t get a credit card says the same sort of bullshit.

Whenever he talked about Dr. Phil’s comments being turned disabled... I got a little emotional
well, an AppleCare is not a extended warranty as Citi card provided. Warranty would not let you to repair a screen crack at a discount price. So your point of comparing a 1% more cash and 2 year warranty is not a apple to apple comparison.
Warranty wouldn't cover a cracked screen?
@@logisec depends on how the screen is cracked. If by dropping or other "not use as instructed", warranty wouldn't cover it. If normal it is during normal use, which would rarely be a case for screen crack, I think warranty would cover. It's easy to detect whether you have dropped the phone, after all they are not that solid.
@@姚书宁 interesting
Very underrated comment. An extended warranty is NOT AppleCare. An extended warranty will cover everything under the regular Apple Warranty. Extended Warranties DO NOT COVER what actually matters, physical damage. That is a very bad argument by this guy.
A couple of positives. 1 is Daily Cash is unlimited, no cap on how much you get back in rewards. The reward % are definitely poor but I do think the 2% on Apple Pay have potential if Apple Pay becomes widely accepted especially by smaller regional stores and services.

All theses so called better phones only advertise some bigger numbers that don’t really amount to that much in actual real world usage. Matt Dealy That’s a good point.
If I read correctly, you could get AppleCare and then get the credit warranty on top of that.
Vincent Pascual has
Yep he clearly didn’t understand the full benefits of apple care
I got a feeling hangover part 4 is going to be 20 minutes long.

Hey Randy - did you end up adding the Apple Card to your wallet? 😃💳

Because tap/contactless pay is common here. In America it's very uncommon.
My FICO 8 score was 600 and they instantly approved me for $4,000. Wow. (Note to self, this does NOT mean I can go buy a Macbook.)
Hi Savannah - good point! 😃 Did you decide to get the Apple Card?
The Extended Warranty on electronic purchases by Citi Bank is Not offered anymore.
Only 13 credit cards? Those are rookie numbers! You've got to pump those numbers up.
😜
We have like 60 banks in India offering credit cards...move here..
Dont u pay annual charges for your cards..i have 3 n i hardly use them.thinking of cancelling
balaji karthik who would want to move to india tho
How many banks in total?
It's a good first credit card for people. No fees and all that instant data on your purchases/payments.
Hey keco185 - did you decide to get the Apple Card? 😃💳
Sucks for Americans that Apple Pay doesn’t work in most places, in the UK, wherever you can pay buy card, you can pay with Apple Pay
I paused this video halfway through to go order my apple card, thank you for the advice!
Hey Aaron - did you end up getting approved for the Apple Card when you applied? 😃💳
Apple blowhards: "Have you heard of this thing called a credit card? It's crazy, you don't even need cash to buy things. Apple, always changing the game."
LOL!
and it's medal too!!!!
This is the first iteration of the credit card. Soon there will be Apple Card X (in about 10 years) 😂
zjgvergara It’ll cost you $1000 a year just for the privilege of carrying the card with you.
😂🤣😂 underrated comment ! Apple users are a joke
I wish companies would do reaction videos to your videos, I would find it highly amusing. Great stuff as always, Graham.
hahah i'd love that!!
2% daily cash back on mobile payments is a long term play into mobile banking. Daily cash back is much more valuable than monthly. If other cards don’t adjust, in the next 5-10 years when mobile pay continues to expand people will start getting this card.
Hey Vance - good point, Daily Cash is awesome 👊 Did you get the Apple Card, too?
“Iwould rather text a robot than call a robot”😂😂😂😂
Erm.
Comparing the city "extended warranty" to AppleCare is a pretty terrible comparison.
What are the credit limits? Some cards don't let me complete purchases above $100k and that is sometimes bothersome.
lmao
What are you buying!?
Cars and stuff
Bet, let me hold 5k all i need to get back on track. College student who pay outta pocket and have rent don't joke lol help my future 😄
Most car dealerships aren’t going to let you put your car on a credit card.
They have a sign up bonus because they don’t need to. Apple doesn’t need to offer people additional benefits because their name already has enough brand recognition where people will buy it for the flex.
Hey Patrick! Good point, Apple's brand alone will drive plenty of Apple Card signups 😄 Do you have the card yourself?
Good video Graham I’ve been waiting for your release! I just covered this yesterday on my channel. It’s nothing revolutionary haha but I do think it’s a smarter card to help people be more financially responsible. Especially those you struggle with financial health. For serious credit card churners though I would stay away since the benefits aren’t there 👌🏽
I agree, well said!
Graham, what’s your favorite card out of all the credit cards you currently have?
The 2 percent is crazy nice. And you can use it in most places. Anyway Apple Pay is moving into more and more shops as I see it.
This is the best ad I've seen.
Hey Ayrat - did you decide to get the Apple Card? 😃💳
Not sure if folks know, you get a soft pull on your credit when you apply (for those that got an invite in email) if you get approved, then they do a hard inquiry
