I recently watched the TV series called Chernobyl and this song just makes me fell so meloncholic. Its almost minimalistic but it was so advanced for its time and I really think we shall not see anyone push the envlope of music in such a way again.

I was hypnotized watching this! We are now in the 21rst century at the very beginning of transhumanism... but in a certain way Kraftwerk created artistic transhumanism already 40 years ago. Stunning!
They didn't create it, they just seized the 'Zeitgeist' which was a century full of impressive technical and industrial discoveries but that came with their problems and questionings too...

If you dont think this is cool, your a robot! No one at the time was doing anything like this, the thing the haters dont know or take on board is Kraftwerk made a lot of their own instruments, as they just were'nt in production other than very basic stuff.So in that one respect they deserve more recogntion. obviously also the musicality their music has makes them all the more deserving of worldwide recognition.

No other men could look so interesting standing doing almost nothing ( Ralf and Florian) or hitting a machine (Karl and Wolfgang). Such a glorious unearthly song, my favourite Kraftwerk song by far. Ralf and Wolfgang are good looking in a machine German man way!
+Jasmine Surreal Kraftwerk were so groundbreaking too, paving the way l think for bands depeche mode. Not enough young people into todays electronic music actually realise how much they owe to pioneers like Kraftwerk.

I found this album in a discount bin for a dollar in 1978. I had no idea who they were. All I was listening to at the time was FM radio and typical 70s guitar rock. When I listened to it at night with headphones it scared the shit out of me. Strange voices saying scary things in German, and these amazing stereo sound effects. Everyone I knew was listening to Dark side of the moon and I said fuck that, listen to this for a real experience. We would then put on my black light and disco ball and listen to the entire radioactivity album. I converted a few people that day.
It Was a hit in France because it was used as a well known "Radio" program.I remember dancing to this,I was a 5 years old french kid.
