Sie sind einfach die Beatles der elektronischen Musik. Diese Band überrascht mich immer wieder. Sowas von zeitlos. Bei manchen Tracks kann man gar nicht fassen, dass diese in den 70ern entstanden sind. Wenn man genauer hinhört, entdeckt man wirklich sehr schöne Melodien und Beats und es ist daher kein Wunder warum sie so viele Künstler beeinflussen. Kraftwerk ist wirklich ein echter Meilenstein.

I’m proud to say my wife and I got to see them in 1979. At one point, in the middle of them playing’ we are the robots’ , out walks...Kraftwerk. We’d been watching 4 robot automatons moving and playing the keyboards . The place went into total meltdown! Incredible band. Florian? Rest in peace you genius man. 🥰

Lucky you. My dream was to see them live unfortunately it will never come true. 😔
i was 11 and i loved that immediately. I remember that my father was able to translate the morse on the fly (easy for this string) as former radio by the french army. He then impressed me for the first time with its memory capability for this exercice. Curious, i challenged him then further with other morse exercises he passed with ease, 20 years after the army..I realised then he was able to tell you all the king and queen of France since centuries, all main rivers and their sources and mountains and their heights, all main cities and departments. I learned afterwards he was one of the smartest boy of the region, confirmed by official records at that time but had to stop with 14 because of support. He then works on the roofs of Paris, repairing lifts and eventually after a long period of fight became head of human ressources of a local company, with many offers of being much more. He preferred to leave in a small town in its comfort zone, maybe afraid of what he could have been..At that time, my music teacher, supposed to open my eyes on the world, had no clue of Kraftwerk. Strange world.

I remember my dad showing this to me, since he used to listen to this type of music. Since i was born in 2007 I didn't grow up with this music, but when my dad showed me this, it was stuck in my head. I think more people should hear this masterpiece. I really like exploring these gems, that are not known in todays generation.

Привет. Только начала слушать Kraftwerk, как раз с Radioactivity и тоже в первую очередь вспоминается Чернобыль. Хотя трек создан был до аварии. Очень нравятся и версии уже после, где Чернобыль упоминается. Хотя ещё не была ни в Полесье, ни в где-то рядом

A younger generation probably can't appreciate the simpler sounds of Kraftwerk, but if we put it into perspective how long ago the original song was made on those early synthesizer, it's truly a work of art.
Not true. I'm 15, and I got introduced to kraftwerk due to africa bambaataa. It's not as complex as modern techno, but it's beauty is the simplicity. A lot of songs, even back then, are pretty overproduced, the cold, almost minimal synths play a big part in capturing my imagination.

@@CookieTheSmolFox Not mocking the "younger generation" at all, I was just surmising that nowadays with all the wonderful hard and soft synths even on a smart phone, one could make similar sounds, therefore this music might sound simplistic/minimalistic. However back in the 70's/80's it was much more difficult, some artists have even built their own custom gear (I've read Krafwerk did some too). Hope you don't take it the wrong way, and enjoy the music/art for what it is.

Kraftwerk co-founder Florian Schneider has died at the age of 73.
His fellow band member Ralf Huetter confirmed that Schneider "has passed away from a short cancer disease just a few days after his 73rd birthday."
In his statement, Huetter hailed his bandmate as "his friend and companion over many decades."
Schneider and Huetter founded Kraftwerk in Dusseldorf in 1970 and the band, known for tracks like Autobahn and The Model, was instrumental in the 'krautrock' movement.

A gravação original no Vinil tendo sido feita nós jurássicos sintetizadores de forma totalmente analógica , com equipamentos da década de setenta é algo que trancende a lógica , todos os discos deles são ricos em arranjos eletrônicos, continuam atualizadissimos, quem não tiver conhecimento sugiro conhecer.
O mesmo pra videografias antigas, a conversão e remasterização são como mágica. A gravação em equipamentos adequados de qualidade também permite isso.

Absolutely Brilliant! I so wish I had got to see them live. As a fan of the 80's and synth music from the very early 80's, I spent most of my teenage years following Depeche Mode and Erasure and only over the last 10 years, have I been slowly catching up getting to see all my favourites from the 80's, live. This is a perfect example of why Andy McCluskey from OMD, says that Kraftwerk had shown him and Paul Humphreys, the future of electronic music....and here it is!

It’s actually cool having familiarity with Kraftwerk, you then start seeing how often they’re sampled. I used to love the song Sunshine by Jay Z when I was younger, not having any idea the sample was from a Kraftwerk track. I remember hearing Talk by Coldplay and recognized the melody instantly. Hell even Fergalicious by Fergie. Never expected to hear a Kraftwerk sample in that. They’re everywhere!
@@joncoish yeah the most bizarre, yet incredible thing is recognizing the sample in a song and thinking how it transcends all differents types of music! Most people think only rap and similar music use sampling for songs when in fact, it knows no boundaries! To hear something from a band like Kraftwerk make its way into something like a rap song for example is such a strange thought since they are polar opposite styles of music lol.

Im glad some of the more experimental music got you through the horrible disco era. Raised on a diet of pink floyd, led zep and zappa, kraftwerk offered an interesting tangent from mainstrream music without compromising quality.

I remember my first concert was Kraftwerk in Dusseldorf Germany I was 16 years old under every seat was a bass box when them come on stage them bend over sitting behind the computers and 3 hours later them stand up bend over and walk from stage 3hours no word was spoking only music it was so great I never forget this concert

J'ai été bercé par ce groupe mais aussi par Klaus schulze, tangerine dream ainsi que Jean Michel Jarre et ash ra tempel . C'est toute mon adolescence. A cet âge nous sommes des éponges et tous ces musiciens ont mis des souvenirs plein la tête.
