Thr original has been recorded in a interview way : daft punk ask him to come in the studio and to tell them his story. They recorded the whole dialog and then mix it with music (played by real musicians too!) and created this masterpiece!
@@MrJulien29yep! Plus the original interview was about half an hour long (can be found on RUclips somewhere) and he had no idea how they’d use it for the song.
I think Giorgio mainly doesn't want to disappoint the crowd. He clearly has made many many lives before, but this was more "constructed" than that... that being said, his band was indeed incredible!
maybe Knödel to be precise 😏 he is Italian but from. South Tyrol... so not cooking spaghetti like me...but other delicious recipes from his mountain... the Dolomites.
I play this on my vinyl nearly every week and the other day I saw my 7 yo jumping on trampoline and saying to his mates, "my name is Giovanni Giorgio, but everyone calls me Giorgio" ... and started acting of drum hits. LOVED IT !! Music Talks !!
This was incredible. The whole time I was wondering what would happen when they get to those sick drum patterns at the end of the track, and damn if my man in the band didn’t just CRUSH it
Yeah I think we forget the amazing things professional musicians are capable of. Sure a computer can do anything you want it to do but people are amazing.
In an interview he said...when daft punk was talking to him about his life and all...he thought they will use his voice and do something like remixing it into a song..but when he actually listened to the song he got amazed on how they used the actual interview into the song.
I got incredibly emotional watching this. Yes, I had a few drinks, but it proves that this song is incredible as not only a superb piece in a great album, but as a live piece of music it's fantastic. I just wish I could have been in the studio when they were recording Giorgio when he was telling his story.
Wow! This performance made my day! I’ve thought about it many times that it would be so cool to do this piece with a live orchestra, but I never thought anyone would have the guts to do it! And then to do it really well!! Hats off. Congrats. 🙌🏼
When you see Adam Betts, you know it's ON. Made me dig up the Timeless (Goldie) performance w/ Natalie Duncan and Heritage Orchestra. Thanks for sharing!
Daft punk will always be an extremely important group to me for a long time. But one of them is that the story of my dad and Giorgio are extremely similar. My dad was a DJ in his youth, that allowed him to play and work In a nightclub in Acapulco, Mexico in the 80s that nightclub was called baby 'o And it's not just another nightclub and that's it, no. It was the pinnacle of disco music. Great Mexican and Latin American artists like Luis Miguel came to play and sing there. So many years later in 2013, when I was less than 15 years old, I asked my dad after dinner "have you met Giorgio?"Obviously it wasn't expected that someone from '98 would know him but I owe it all to Daft Punk.So yeah, basically my dad is a Mexican Giorgio. His knowledge of music borders on the exaggerated in good That also allowed me to develop a great taste for music.
I was never aware that this live concert happened although this is among top 3 albums for my entire life.. I would live my dream if me and my late brother could have been to an event like this 💗
I love that he's not just reading a script, but actually telling the story. And the band is extending the groove to give him time to finish.
The original song is the same way
@@edc.8292 no, theres a fair amount of pauses and differences between the original

I honestly never thought this could be played live.
lol

It’s a masterpiece, even more complex than just classic music.
It took a lot of musicians and instruments to emulate Giorgio's sound!
Funny that Giorgio is so shy and unsure telling his story 😅 His band are truly killers, just nailed it, extremely cool!
he is more comfortable making a pasta
@@doyourownresearch7297 Since he's Italian, that should be easy and delicious😃!

There are two of us
You are lucky men
Moroder wanted the other guys to play his music and now hes playing Daft Punks music.
Im sure the robots are honored just like Georgio was back then.
I don't see any part of this being like daft punk. I'm confused

I love that in the original version the music gets more complex as the song goes on, mirroring the improvement In Moroder's abilities.
