    Bless you. I had the packing removed the day after my hysterectomy, rectocele and Cystocele repair and bladder sling. I was in misery the whole time. I cannot imagine having it in a week. Im on day 7 and I appreciate your videos.

    Hey, friend, it’s Della…SaintsWife.
    I delivered a persistent OP in 1987. She broke my tailbone and required a fourth-degree episiotomy. It was the worst experience of my life and I continue to suffer from the broken tailbone particularly today. I’m 27 hours postop in the pressure on my damaged. Tailbone is the biggest problem. If you have any special wisdom, please let me know. Thank you ever so much.

    Thank you for sharing! I am 4 days post op with a similar surgery and not having fun, so I appreciate your honesty. They took my packing out in the hospital the day after and I have had to use an in and out catheter at home because of not being able to go on my own. Lots of pain and pressure down there and haven’t had a BM yet which is scaring me. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

    I’m sat here panicking and I have been really struggling for over 2 years with a uterus prolapse and now my front wall is collapsing 😔 it’s leaning on my bowel and I literally can not push at all as it’s right there at my opening. My doctor has told me laxities x3 p day and I have doubled my pain relief. I can’t walk hardly and was bleeding constantly for over a year. This has ruined my life! And I am now waiting to see a Urogynacologist as it looks like I will need a hysterectomy and I am so scared. I am 40, no children, don’t want children but also don’t want all this pain and restricted mobility. My doctors tell me nothing and I have not found information to really help me and I have just fell across your channel. I am so thankful that you have share your story and I just want to say 1, I’m sorry that this has happened to you, 2, I really hope that you are doing a lot better and 3, thank you for being vulnerable and allowing us to know personal details that we just can’t find anywhere else even with our doctors. ❤

      Thank you for sharing your story. I absolutely encourage you to get these issues fixed. You definitely should not have to live like that, and your pre-surgery symptoms sound much worse than mine were. I highly encourage you to be cautious about a surgeon you choose, and consider a vaginal surgeon, rather than a urogynecologist. Please watch my how to choose a surgeon video for an explanation of why. You just want to ensure that the urogynecologist is not putting a Band-Aid fix on the problem, using a lot of mesh. Also, feel free to reach out to me by email at personalprolapsestory@gmail.com with specific questions.

    I know this may sound crazy but I have found snacking on Gummy bears helpd me go easier than just using the stool softeners alone. Not medical advice at all just a tip that helpd me.

      Haha. I have read that gummy bears, especially sugar free ones, help you go!!! Not surprising at all!

    In many cases, the packing is removed at the hospital. Mine was needed for my vaginal stitching. Some women don’t have this.

    I am 5 days post op from my hysterectomy and cystocele. I did not have packing nor gp home with a catheter, I was wondering if you experienced constant pain in your lower back and down the leg? I have been taking my meds but I still have a constant ache like severe periods cramps or labor back ache. Did you experience this?

    • @personalprolapsestory
      @personalprolapsestory  6 месяцев назад

      Hmmm.. I don’t remember having the leg or back pain right away. I did start having leg and back pain about six months into my recovery because of pinched nerves in my pelvic floor. I guess it is possible that you could be having that earlier than I was. I had leg and back pain before my surgery due to the prolapses putting pressure on nerves. But, yes to the cramps. I feel like for about two weeks after my surgery I had terrible cramping that felt like bad period Cramps. It was very confusing to me because I knew that I didn’t even have a uterus to cramp anymore. That did eventually subside, and I could only attribute it to all of the cutting that had taken place in there during the hysterectomy.

      I’m so sorry. Take some miralax to get things flowing and help reset your bowels from the anesthesia. Then increase your fiber and take stool softeners for several months.
