Thank you for your videos. I had a total hysterectomy in 2021. Then 2 weeks ago today I had a vaginal wall prolapse surgery with mesh connected to my tail bone. My uretha also had to be straighten out. Its a struggle.
Pelvic Prolapse surgery is not talked about enough. Thank you!

Thank you for this video. This was very informative. I had the surgery a year ago on 2/16. I had complications after the surgery that led to an ambulance ride and a hospital stay. Turns out I developed a hematoma near the surgery site. I wouldn’t wish that pain on my worst enemy. It took me months to heal. I refused another surgery to remove the hematoma. I was too scared to be reopened on the same day. Here it is a year later and I’m feeling better.😊

Just today found your videos. If nothing else, it affirms that I am not alone. I had a vaginal Hysterectomy and Pelvin Organ Prolapse surgery about 10.5 weeks ago. Just when I think I am doing ok, something else comes along and I take a couple steps backward. Thank you for addressing all these issues.

Lois, I felt the same in the beginning. One step forward, several back. That part does get better. The first 6 weeks (maybe even 6 months) are the worst. It does improve. If you continue having ANY issues though, you should consult a pelvic floor physical therapist. It’s been very helpful to me in addressing some lingering nerve pain down there. I’m glad you found my channel helpful!

@@personalprolapsestory I had my 12 week exam today after experiencing pain and discomfort for the last 2 weeks or so. Found out that I have 2 area of granulation. So, I now am waiting for an outpatient procedure to clip and cauterize these areas. Sounds bad, but still so thankful that my original prolapse repair has not been compromised.

Thank you so much again for sharing your painful experiences! This is an incredible torture!?!
I also have grade 2 uterine prolapse, a hyperflexible urethra, and mild to moderate stress incontinence. However, the operating gynecologist refuses to treat multiple problems in one operation. He would like to “fix” me little by little every 12 weeks!? But I don't want this procedure of anesthesia, pain and long healing phases every time! I'm so depressed I want to say, "Take everything out and sew me up!" Sex isn't what it used to be anyway!? It hurts and I feel little or no pleasure. And since I separated after the stillbirth, there are no more “marital duties” to fulfill! 😞
By the way, my Pelvita physiotherapist also noticed tension in the area of the episiotomy (first delivery), which is why the affected side is probably weaker in terms of muscles... However, I never had a birth as difficult as you!? 🤔
Sorry if I'm blatantly asking something so personal, but what's the sex like now? Can you even tolerate vaginal penetration with all that scar tissue?
How does your husband feel about it?
    Very kind, warm greetings
    Sonia

I know this is an old comment, but wanted to respond. Sex is fine/good now. My husband enjoys it more now bc the doc “made me like a 16 year old again.” Lol. I still feel the need to somewhat control deep penetration, but that’s probably just my own fear… not a real issue.
