Great video Thanks. I convinced my dad to replace his blink cameras, which he was having problems to Ring battery stickup cams with solar. It's way faster than the blink and he really likes it. I've installed two so far with solar, just got 3 more to go 👍
This is a separate mount from my 2nd gen stickup cam but Ring sells it separately -> amzn.to/3hZWeVz But Ring could have easily added an option of flip image on the app like on their indoor cam but I guess they want people to buy the extra mount :(
@Lifehackster do you prefer the stickup cam or the spotlight cam for outdoor use. I have a spotlight cam for my garage, but was looking at something more affordable for the other side of my house and I don’t need a spotlight on that side of the house.
@@LifeHackster thank you, appreciate you answering me back. Now what about Ring stickup cam vs Wyze outdoor cam? I have two Wyze v3’s and the pictures look incredible and especially at night, but the spotlight accessory suck. The two I have either constantly stay on or flash and the Wyze app says that I don’t have any he spotlights connected. I already messaged support, but they haven’t gotten back to me in two months…
I bought this two batteries charge station, and it came with no instructions book, I had it plug 24 hours and the lights went from blinking white light to solid white light, shouldn't the light turn green when it is completely charged? To check and see if the battery was charge, I use the orange cable that it came with and plug it to a different single charger to see if both lights were green and no, it shows orange and green wish it indicates that the battery is still not charge. I have use the single charger before I got the two pack charger and the battery turns green completely when is fully charge. Is this two pack a damage charger? Just bought it two days ago. What a disappointment.
@@LifeHackster I understand that. But try connecting the orange cable and plug it to a single charger and you will see that it shows the orange and green light meaning the battery is not fully charged. Do the test and you will see what I mean.
When the *$#$ did ring get a charging station? Can you leave. Batteries in there for any time or is there risk of overcharge? Ring announces to boring stuff and let's the interesting stuff silently release lol
I just want to let you know that Ring sent a replacement for the dual battery charger, it arrived today. It was very frustrating to speak with people out of the USA cause some times is hard to understand them, I had to called twice, I am glad they replaced and within a few days my wife will go to UPS and return the other one that is already packed.
Good point about solar panels drawing attention to your cameras. Thanks for that
Another solid review. Thank you sir!
My pleasure!
How did you "rig" the (1:00) Ring Smart Lighting - Floodlight Battery-Powered to use the Ring Quick Release batteries?
Ain’t nobody getting close to his house without being lit up like a Xmas tree 🤣
:)
Thank you for the update. 👍
You are welcome.

Cool... I know, Blink really needs to up their game.
Nice video 👏
Thank you 👍
Thanks.
Where do you get the ceiling mount for the stick up cam? The mount it has doesn’t allow for ceiling mounting or does it?

Can you use both batteries and the solar charger at the same time on the Ring Spotlight camera?
Yes, you can.
Hi. Great video. Question: I use 2 batteries in my ring spotlight cam. What steps can I take to increase the battery life before next charge?
If I guess it would probably be get a solar panel to charge the camera I know Ring has them
Is your stick up cam by your trash bin the battery version?
Can the battery cam be converted to wired ?
Nice Vid!
Thanks.

If you don't need lighting, the stickup cam is a good choice.

Have you tried putting the battery in your camera and see if it is fully charged? Also it takes a while before it updates in the camera.
@@LifeHackster
I don't know how to check it on the doorbell camera if it is charged?
Did Ring release a new stick up camera this year or is the one on their site the same one from 2019?
You still do not explains how do we know the batteries are fully charged using the two pack charge station.
All lights on top will light up solid.

I think they had it for a while now..I just found it when I was searching for extra battery packs. I don't think there is a risk of overcharging.
