i can say now i have a 340 stock bottom end stock cam upgraded intake and crarb and it ribs its been rebuilt once all oem and it is awsome it just eats 4 speed to tear the rear tires up
They say is works good off the bottom end. I am looking for a lower torque motor. I rip a bit. Looking to put one in my Dakota. But I want to be able to use it.
@@michaelhoneycutt7138 I believe the 5.9/5.2 magnum roller whiplash cams are a lot more mild than the flat tappet version so if you have a roller motor it might still be a good option.
Anyway I could get in contact with you? I’m building a 360 magnum for my 88-d150 and I’m kinda looking for some guidance. It would be greatly appreciated.
@@MrJustinBurch the truck had a bad booster so the brakes always sucked. I have a 408 in the truck now with an even bigger cam with a new booster and the brakes are better than they ever were so I would imagine this cam would do okay with it.
@@joe-hp4nk it’s cut for low compression engines and is made to close the intake valve early and increase the cylinder pressure. I believe they say 8.6:1 is the max they recommend on it. Works great for a stock low compression engine! My 360 was around maybe 8:1 and I even ran regular fuel in it sometimes.
Great video. Looking forward to your 408 build.

Sounds good!
Please do a video about your 46rh transmission swap!!! I plan on doing the same to my 81 d150
Sounds good! I should be able to make something for it! Surprisingly was a really easy swap.
Went ahead and just uploaded a video about the transmission for you. Hope it answers some of the questions you had!
What kinda seats do you have in the truck?

Put a lower gear in. 3.55 even is a great road gear

I like the seats and steering wheel! What transmission do you have in it?
It’s a 46RH. It’s from a 95 Dodge Ram with a 5.9 magnum. It’s been great! It’s basically a 727 with over drive and a lock up converter.

@@AshMyBuck what are you looking to do with it exactly?
I wish I could find someone running a big block Steamroller hydraulic roller cam...
I’ve got a 408 stroker I’m putting together I’m going to use one of their steam roller small block cams.
Any problems with the brakes and low vacuum?

What size pipe and mufflers did you use? I’ve got a 318 with the whiplash cam that I’m building
@@loganlowry7102 it’s just got a set of 12” resonators and 2.5” pipe
@@RecklessEnterainmentnice, it sounds great. I’ve got some 3 inch pipe and magnaflow mufflers. Hopefully it’ll sound good
What headers are you running? It screams!

What are the specs? Thanks.
