- A huge thank you to ISKY CAMS for getting the Dart back up and running with the new flat tappet camshaft and lifters! It sounds so much better than before, and this cam should get us in the 7000 rpm range where we need to be!
For those wondering the new Cam Shaft Specs:
Part No. 390135
Grind Z-35
CAM LIFT .350
VALVE LIFT .525
DURATION 288
Stay tuned for another video coming soon of us taking the car to Milan for DHTV PYOP!
I love how Jeff is not only teaching her about engines but explaining it too. Sounds AWESOME!
Laugh out loud s*** Jeff don't even know you're funny Jeff he might know a little bit but if he locked them but bearing Grease on a camshaft then obviously he don't know much trying to break a cam in with bearing Grease shot out...
@@henryhowell8319that’s break in lube genius. Required for flat tappet break in.
those types of girls are rare!!!! this is gold
@@StreetRacingChannel have you ever had a back fire out of the carb when their was no spark? Yeah, me neither. So I don't buy the missing cam button being the only problem.
@@henryhowell8319 break in lube with moly per dark color try google next time
I'm not a Mopar guy but that little 340 sounds damn good. I can't wait to see the Michigan videos. It looks like you all learn a little bit more every time Jeff is involved. He's a good teacher.
I am a mopar guy , grew up working on 340’s and street racing them . Bottom ends are dang near bullet proof , we always ran our cars NA but it wasn’t hard to get 500 hp out of them that way. Your right that lil motor sounds nasty !
Gotta say this is the best dad daughter video ever, not going to lie lol,so cool to see a dad giv her daughter a lesson and Tommy is a good dude filming and hes got to respect jeff or his possible father in law for all the help. This is a great family video
I'm just impressed that Jeff's daughter wants to be out in the shop. Allison is not scared to get her hands dirty. I cannot get my daughter to step inside the shop, it's like there is a force field in front of the door! Well done Jefffa. Awesome video guys.
Yea I know exactly how you feel bro being a girl Dad is a hard job and the older they get the harder it gets for you and you always feel like you're walking that fine line between either being the best man on earth and the best Dad in the world or she can make you feel like a complete stranger and she can go from completely happy to the most pissed off person in the world in less than 2 seconds and she will let the whole world know it too and it's funny because my daughter is 14 now but when she was around the age of 7 or 8 I asked her if she would like to come out in the garage with me one day to work on cars and if she would go fishing and hunting with me one day and without missing a beat and without any answers to my questions she looked right at her Momma and said I would like to learn how to sew, crochet, and cook and bake and as of now I've still yet to get her to help me work on a car or go hunting or fishing with me and she knows everything she wanted to learn how to do
Jeff needs to step in the picture All the time he knows what he talking about All respect God bless 🙏 🙏
Damn right that's a good looking motor.
@@keefespencer1173 yeah daughters are a hard nut to crack.... most including mine want help or even show interest out in the garage until they get old enough to date and bring there boyfriend over then they might show some interest because their boyfriend shows interest.. that's my experience anyway
Well be more encouraging and fun, you're probably in there and nobody knows you're in there make it something she wants to do not just to appease you
Allison and tommy are a couple lucky youngsters to have Jeff and bill in there corner when it comes to motors and cars. Both are very knowledgeable and Jeff is a great teacher...
This is a special time between Jeff and Allison...she's learning the whole thing from probably the best person...her father..Tommy filming and staying quiet so she's totally dialed in....
Beautiful to see between daughters and fathers or sons and fathers ...

Happy Father`s Day Jeff and Bill. Dart sounds great. Great job Jeff and Allison, can`t wait for the first hit. Stay safe all, God Bless.

Fk yeah!
Ive used a number of those Z series cams...they flat out work!!
Old man Isky knew his chit when he designed them, mega cams and much more
Props to Allison and Tommy for going hands on and learning. Jeff steps in and solves the tough ones and it's always great to see the shop supervisor come out !!
Isky cams to the front and thank u isky for helping I’m sure they will make u proud keep up the hard work and dedication #realisrAre
As a father of three daughters, I love how patient Jeff is with his teaching skills. That’s a real father right there!
I have two young daughters and am praying at least ONE of them loves old cars. I have a 67 fastback. Also want to build a gt 40 kit car.
For some, the greasiness of McDonald's hash browns is part of their charm. It adds a certain indulgence and decadence to the breakfast experience. It's like treating yourself to a guilty pleasure once in a while. However, for others who prefer a cleaner and less greasy meal, it might be necessary to explore alternative options or modify their order to suit their preferences.
cam surgery lol,so cool Allison gets to learn this,i grew up in alaska and all the girls had there own atv, snow mobile, etc, were tomboys per say, good on tommy and Allison and Dad Jeff is so cool.
Bet most 16 yr old Alaska girls are 2x the man that most the dweebs in Ca are
Most 30 yr olds cant do the simplest of repairs
Great job guys. The Dart sounds wicked!
I love how Jeff explains things. It just makes sense! Love the content and the car! ❤ And I'll add that Mopar is awesome.
Hell yeah sounds good I did get to see in person for the first time definitely a cool car 😎🤘
It's not a first start without a little fireball to wake things up. You don't get that with EFI. Sounds good!
Tommy got a keeper,Allison is like a mirror image of Vickie the cookie queen, enjoy life young folks and respect your parents as they have got your back and provide you with a future,so cool to see you grow,
Seriously, my favorite hot rod of the whole group. So glad to see it again.
Congratulations Allison, your 1st cam swap! That's very cool, the look of concern on her face before it fired up....really took me back. That's chick gets it. And released on Father's Day....Jeff.....awesome kid, what a great dad you've obviously BEEN and ARE. NOW GO RUIN SOME TIRES!
You GO Allison hot rod driver builder impressive!!!’🎉
Allison's willingness to learn
And Jeff's willingness and ? Patience? to teach Allison to be all She could be Able to make it happen

Sounds amazing and I'm not even a Mopar guy
That cam sounds awesome guys great job
Nice to see you working on the Dart. An ISKIE cam will change the game. Waiting to see what happens on the track
Awesome can't wait to see it running down the track!
Shoulda put it in strait up that little cube engine needs to spin
wow not only that the Dart looks badass it sounds amazing
@11:50,, we agree with Tommy, and @11:52,, Allison,, YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF - PERIOD. You were 'hands on' putting YOUR camshaft in YOUR engine sweetheart. THAT in and of itself is HUGE! How many girls can say they actually installed the cam in their own engine?? Not many I venture,, not many at all. "IF" there would have been a mistake,, well those things happen to even the best,, you just back up and do it again. Learning cannot always happen "ONE and DONE",, the key is that we LEARN volumes when a mistake happens and we do our best to not allow the same mistake happen again. Remember this,, YOU (with your Dad's guidance) eased that camshaft inside the cam bearings successfully,, a scary task for anyone,, WELL DONE young Lady,, WELL DONE! When we heard it running,, THAT's is the sound of sweet success!
Jeff is a great addition to all your videos ! You guys are awesome. Between big Bill and the Jeff you guys have a wealth of information. Learn all you can . Great job Allison
Gotta love Jeff, he's just like my dad. He'll tell you how the car jus refused to start but will try and just completely leave out the part where it almost rearranged his facial features. 😂😂😂
Man!!! That sounds awesome!!!! Good job Alison! Has Alison ran yet!? ✌️😁
That little 340 sounds rowdy now. Snap crackle pop cam
You did great Allison.
I'm always interested in anything to do with the Dart. Good luck Tommy & Allison.
Timing tip I learned from my pops. Before you pull the distributor out, piece of 2" tape on the fire wall. Take a straight edge run it against to opposing wires on cap pointing at the tape. Draw a like on the tape and make notes on tape of what wires you used to get that line. When you reassemble use the repeat the process and we as always been with in 1-2 degrees of where it was originally. Miss my pops and watching yall work together and learn takes me back to the great days of wrenching with him.
Success! Now Allison is ready to rip into the 10 second zone!
Allison did an amazing job installing that cam! She has the touch.... Jeff's shirt was badass too... looking forwards to this weekends trip..
I know as a father Jeff is loving this when you share a common passion with your daughter it makes you feel good. Yes and I know it would feel the same with a son, and you can see that with Bill Billy and Tommy, but I don't have a son so seeing that connection just makes me happy. I share a love of cars, music and food with my daughter that makes me a happy Dad 😊
Excellent teaching and exemplary student; great video as well; great job yall!!
Im sure I speak for a lot of subscribers but I really enjoy the garage tinkering/upgrading/maintenance showing Allison how stuff works ect. I’ve been working on car since I was 10 or 12 years old thanks to a 2 year old brother who was into figuring out small engine stuff which evolved into a 79 Malibu with a 355 and nitrous when he was 16 and I had a 71 Nova with a 406 and spray at age 15.
I love hanging around the garage tinkering and Jeff spreading his knowledge. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Keep up the great work Allison, Tommy, Jeff & the shop supervisor of course!!!
Tommy, we all know you busy! with all the channels, but it's great to see Gen2 uploading. Luv you guys...
That thing looks and sounds rowdy.
Hey ya need to put more vids out . Ty Jeff for helping thelittle ones :P
Sounds awesome Allison!!
The sick feeling in your stomach is always there when starting a new engine or a rebuilt engine or a head gasket job. Or even a junkyard engine first startup! You learn to subdue the sick feeling in the stomach as your mechanical skills progress but it never really goes away totally. Especially with the parts quality lately. I def hear you on camshaft break in…
Awesome... Time for the two.fiddy jets
Awesome Video Jeff Is Such A Great Teacher Enjoy That Father Time You Too Tommy
Thanks for new video and I hope the Dart done good this weekend
It sounds great 😁😁😁😁
“Bob Rossing it”….. 🤣😂🤣…. Happy little cam lobes….
A+ content per usual! Looks like good times!
Hats off to the group. You gotta love alittle Mopar action😮
Mad, Love, Love, seeing y'all grow. Alison your Dad is awesome. Listen to Him, he's your dad. He's very proud of y'all. Learning yourself 🙏 is the only way. Trust in the Lord our God and Father. In God We Trust 💯🙏
Yall will not regret switching to that solid cam!!!--The 340 is def guna wake up!!!
Allison is coming Old Man you better get the Cracka Barrel running top notch. Shout out to JEFFFFAAA.
Happy Fathers day!Great vlog on cam installation Jeff! (Never saw a cap rotor button fall out b4!?) Car sounds great!
If I had met a girl like THAT when I was young I would be head over heels! And she has a great Dad. And Mom. Takes two. I have always said the 340 is one of the baddest engines ever made. Been beat by a few! And I've been around since they were new! Great show!
The guys are watch for a good while now and I just want to say to the dad to Happy Father's Day and you are one hell of a dad man I have a little girl she reminds me a lot of your daughter but mine's just younger my little girls only 9 years old but she reminds me a lot of your girl they're almost one in the same to be honest with you but all in all a very good teacher not many dads actually take the time to explain and teach their children the proper way I have a 16 year old son he's a boy so he wants to learn but he doesn't want to learn what my little girl is totally opposite she wants to do and learn everything with me loves big trucks she loves fast cars so I know when every time we watch the show RUclips channel she always says daddy that's going to be us so I just want to say thank you for the good content awesome channel and it is awesome that you actually take the time and explain stuff to your little girl it will help her in the long run and she seems eager to learn so that is very awesome congratulations you guys keep up the good work and girl put the hammer down hit that button shoot to The Moon and be safe on the track
Tommy, I'm not gonna lie. I am really wanting to see Pepe aka Ol Blue with a nitrous engine pulling the front tires up and getting with it on the street..

Shit like this makes me miss my dad so much. You two are so lucky you have amazing familys that love and support you!
I'm a Ford guy but the dart is my favorite car on all 3 channels. Great video yall.
If youre an audio fan you know all about the v.u. meters swiping :)
The car sounds amazing guys i can't wait to see it out 🤘🤘
Still lookin at that HEMI
Sounds great Allison now it’s going to run good. Thanks for the video. Now I want to see that dart run
That sound will give you Goosebumps
Allison gets it from both sides. Dad Jeff racing and Tommy and Billy doing the same. Shes becoming wise before her time. She's willing to put in the work just like Tess. That will make them both Bad Ass in the very near future. They have the Best Mentors to Absorb From. The Dart is sounding amazing and better than ever
Sounds like it'll clear a Forrest with that chop. I love Jeff fa fa camshaft training class. Custom cam from ISKY that's all that needs said. ISKY is working on custom cam for my angry 6.0l LS. Getting ready to spray the house down now. Can't wait to see some passes.
Jeff fa fa fa is a great teacher I like how he goes deep into detail but doesn't try to make himself like a know-it-all. That 340 sounds NASTY
I went from hydraulic camshaft to a solid lifter camshaft with Harlan Sharp roller rockers. Went more lift and longer dual profile camshaft in my 428cj. Those FEs really like long duration camshafts. Not good for power brakes but offset a bit by being a solid lifter. Jeff is a great teacher.
Awesome work guys. Sounds incredible
I can't blame Allison for being nervous about breaking cams in. I flattened 6 lobes on my cam in my big block chevy during break in I used the assembly cam lube, with vr1 racing oil that has zinc in it and for extra assurance I add zinc adittive too but some cam metal quality are not good. Makes you feel you did something wrong but in the end you didn't do anything wrong. Glad your break in went smoothly
Jeff missed his true calling automotive instructor lol
That thing sounds really good! Nice job, Allison!
Nice job guys car sounds awesome looks awesome way to go
She does sound sweet, great job peeps, it's one of my all time fav body shapes, look forward to your content 💪
Jeff saying "DONT FILM THAT"!!!! hahahahahahaha
It sounds Sweet and good luck and be safe and God bless you guys
It means Jeff has a loud shirt on😂
The dart sounds good!
That old dart sounds really good!! Nice job Allison!! Great job Jeff teaching them how and what to do and reasons why!! There is alot to be said for patience!!! Let's see some stock eliminator stuff also!!!
Glad your back , missed you all.
Outstanding! Great work guys, sounds rowdy
Awesome video! Enjoy watching Allison & Jeff working together. Jeff always explains what they installing how it works in relation to all the other parts of the engine. The car has come a long way. Love the sound of the new cam.
I hope you get a good run from those flat tappets.
Sounds REALLY REALLY HEALTH💯💯 Nothing like your first bump-stick instal that sounds like a straight up dragster. Mopars always sound healthy, great job guys💯💪💪💯
