Even with the solar panel that camera will NOT record 24/7, events only. The only way to get 24/7 is to use the google accessory cable and have it plugged into an outlet. At that point, it's better to just buy the wired version.

i bought 2 wired for inside, and one battery outside using a power cable for 24/7 live recording. for the camera, you can put them on all time in settings, my camera are allways recording with google nest aware platform. so when i open google home, all camera are already on.

I had the Nest cameras and then switched to Ubiquiti. By far the best home camera system are the ones from Ubiquiti. Only issue is they are 5x the cost. But the logging is quite a bit better in my opinion.

How do you turn it on to record 24/7 once you have it plugged into the solar panel? That’s the main reason I bought this and desperately need something that records everything. Can someone please point me in the right direction I would truly appreciate it!

I ended up having to get a cord to have it plugged into 24/7 & paying extra for the nest subscription, I think it was about 30 for the cord. It’s recorded pretty good quality and the cord & camera have held up in the snow and rain!

No. Get the solar panel! The default sensitivity settings are set for maximum battery life and you will miss events or the start of events. If you want informative clips you are going to sacrifice battery life. The time it takes to view live feed feels like forever!

That's totally wrong. Battery operated camera WON'T WORK while is plugged in.
The Nest camera battery were an absolute failure as they still don't work with the Nest app which is totally way better than that horrific Google Home app. Cameras are also useless in the winter time.

I saw this jerryrigeverything video a couple of weeks ago, he used "eufycam 3" for the security and those looked pretty good for the value. I wish there products were more common in Indian websites also cause I also need some security cameras for my home.
