Just got my Nest (pak of 3),I linked them with my existing Nest door bell camera. I love them. I’m curious how long the battery will last between each charge.
Returned mine today. Battery life, good question. When in battery mode it goes offline relatively soon ( i did not actually time it) and you can only access via Google Home app. In a matter of three days it reduced from having a charge for 2 days down to 1 day. If you had other NEST cameras on NEST app these newer cams are not viewable. The nighttime motion was an issue as I wanted to camera to monitor an area 15-20 feet from where it was mounted. Nighttime zoom was not good either at the 15-25 foot range which I was trying to monitor. Last issue, NEST allowed me to monitor video on my Mac & Macbook, Google Home does not have this ability.

No cons listed !? How about a nest product that doesn’t work with the NEST app? Also the power cord that once plugged in exits the camera facing outward rather than towards the wall when where it’s mounted too. I just received mine a day ago and will be installing for further review. So far I do like the louder speaker and that the plug in wire option is smaller and easier to run and conceal. I have owned at least 6-8 of the older style and those were great except a few items like low volume speaker, a very ugly cord and bulky junction box. One thing I’ve always asked why can’t they offer these cameras in black ? Or different colors ? White sticks out so much on a dark colored house. One of my nest cams I actually painted black with wrinkle coat and wrapped the cord with electrical tape just to conceal it.
