    I am looking at this model ( 4310 UC actually) to possibly replace the best headset I have ever used (Plantronics Voyager 104) out of 6 or 7 I have owned. I am a truck driver and regularly talk for 6-8 hours solid/day. The one feature I REALLY would like to have that the Voyager 104 does not have is: When I receive a call from someone in my contacts, (Lets say "Wife") The headset would say "Incoming call from Wife. Answer or ignore?" At which point you could verbally tell the headset w/o touching it to answer. This is very handy when your hands aren't. Does the Voyager 4310 UC headset have that capability? Thank you for taking the time to make this review!

    This review was really helpful. I wanted to replace my wired Poly headset with a wireless headset that used a dongle for work. Your review confirmed to me that I made the right decision on buying the Poly Voyager 4320, it's a second hand headset form Amazon so much cheaper than buying brand new.

    Thank you for sharing. I fell in love with the Plantronics Voyager 104, used for trucking. It is the best headset compared to everything I've tried on the road. Was sadden that Plantronics was bought out, but thanks to you I'm finally getting to replace my very much needed 3yr old headset.

      Hello Chee. Thank you for your comments. Yes, Plantronics, now Poly, does make some very nice headsets. Now that they've merged with Polycom, their product line has expanded to include cameras for video conferencing as well as a nice assortment of speakerphones. Do let us know if we can assist you in any way, and thanks again for your comments.

    Promising headset David and good review. I'm curious though, if I dont need ANC, can 4320 Mic stand toe to toe with focus 2? In theory, 4320 mic should perform better as it has a longer boom than focus 2. I was also waiting for the numerical score towards the end. I understand you rated focus 2 Mic with an 8/10. What could be the rating for 4320?thanks

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  3 года назад

      In theory your right but we will have to test the microphones head to head for you to be the judge. We've ditched the rating system because it's way to subjective unfortunately.

    Hi, I bought this through work, and although the headset is good for conference calls, what bugs me mostly about it which I think is a show stopper is when you are listening to music, or watching a video, through a conference call or otherwise, the headset switches to mono low quality mode which for the life of me cannot disable. Once you end the call, the playback quality switches back to high. Who decided this at Poly???

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  Год назад +2

      Unfortunately this is how most Bluetooth headsets operate. When on a call and the microphone is active, the audio goes into mono mode for longer battery and better quality for voice. If you go to your audio settings and change your microphone to anything but the headset when listening to music etc.., it should go to stereo mode.

    Great review! Quick question for when the headset is paired with both the computer and mobile phone at the same time- (using the dongle). If I am listening to music in between calls on my phone and a call comes in through the computer, will it automatically disconnect the phone/music so that I can speak to/hear the caller? Or will the caller hear the music on their end? How does that work?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  9 месяцев назад

      Only one audio source will play at a time so the caller won't hear music on their end.

      Some customers say connecting a bluetooth headset to the computer works fine, and many others say the opposite. For example, little to no wireless range, degraded audio quality, connectivity issues, and no advanced features like being able to answer/end calls away from the phone. This is why the included USB Dongle is highly recommended to use, but feel free to try without it and see how it works for you.

    Liked and subbed. A much needed channel for the pandemic. I started by seeing your Bose 700 review and ended up here. Looking for a headset that'll work consistently. I've been using a Jabra 75e with Jabra's 370 usb dongle. It works pretty well for Teams calls but the Bluetooth adapter seems very spotty at times on PC (my phone works no problem) but the headset does allow for wiring in via micro USB.
    How do you think this headset would do for taking a call outside?

      Welcome aboard, Brett! We appreciate your support. The Voyager 4320 would do well outside as long as you don't have wind blowing directly against the microphone. With just about any headset in that case, the wind will be picked up. Other then that, it should work fine outside.

      Hi Jeff, yes we will be comparing the two very soon but in short.
      1. The 4320 doesn’t have ANC in the speakers
      2. The Focus UC 2 is more comfortable
      3. You can move the focus UC 2 mic up to the top of the headband to mute the mic.

    Great review. Question-it says “Bluetooth” and connects to phones etc, but there’s a dongle for the PC? So do you have to use the dongle for PC? I have used 2.4Ghz pc headsets that have very low latency, and want that sort of performance. So is the dongle like the 2.4ghz ones but just happens to use Bluetooth radio band ? I just want to know that the latency isn’t an issue and what the dongle is for. Thanks!

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  2 года назад +1

      It's recommended to use the Dongle for the best performance. The Dongle is Bluetooth but uses proprietary software built in so it's similar to 2.4Ghz and you should have a latency issue but it's common to sometimes get a half second delay turning the headset on.
