I just bought the 4320 as a replacement for my Jabra Evolve2 275--and I love it. Good calling audio quality. Light, grippy but comfortable on my big head. More bang for buck than the Jabra definitely.
Glad you found the right fit! Thanks for sharing.
Great job Dave. Keep the reviews coming!
Thank you! We aren't stopping anytime soon 🙂
Great job on this comparison. I have chosen 4320 UC and I loved it! Thanks for the help.
Thank you Kathyleen!
Oh man, your reviews are awesome, the best I ever seen. Thank you very much for so such detailed testing!
Thank you for the feedback 🙏
Agree, great channel.....very smart.
Thank you for the great information and review. I just ordered!
Anytime Curtis! Glad we could help. Let us know if any questions come up when the headset arrives.
Love my Focus 2, it's amazing!
Great channel. Helped a lot in my choice
Hi Val, glad this video helped you.
Thanks for your video, this really helps. I was looking for better mic with little bass. With multiple playback of your mic testing, I felt hat 4320 mic seems to give better voice with little more bass than Focus 2 and additionally it gives good battery life.
Thanks for watching, Sujin!
Great video as always David. But let me tell you... the BASS on the Poly Voyager Focus 2 though when using it for media!!!... 😳👍
Great to hear from you, Rich :D
Thank you for this video !!!

Greetings from Mexico
Thanks for watching! Greetings back to you from California.
I've chosen 4320 UC and it is doing great job.
Thank you sir 🙏
You’re welcome :)
I just bought the Focus 2 w/stand ($149 Amazon warehouse deal) and have had it for about a week. Based on this video, the Focus 2 mic sounds way better to me. Way less muffled than the 4320. That said, I'm going to order the 4320 and try both out on colleagues and let them vote. I'd much rather have USB-C charging. Its the one thing I detest about the Focus 2. Edit: Just ordered the 4320 (without stand) for $91 also a warehouse deal.
Let us know which you like better :)
Just get a small 3 dollar adapter on Amazon. It's literally like a 2 inch long string. That's what I did. Doesn't bother me at all.
SNAP that was close but I'd have to say the Poly Voyager Focus 2 does slightly better. Thanks for this love ya'll!
Thanks for watching as always Adam.
Thanks for doing this comparison. When testing the mics on both headsets, there's a bit of distortion that I am assuming is clipping somewhere in the signal chain. My question is, is it inherent to the headset, or is the clipping an artifact of how you record the signal, or perhaps an artifact of the computer's sound card? I've heard this occur on many headsets on your channel as well as other channels so I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm planning to use it with Dragon Naturally Speaking, and any sort of distortion is probably going to be a problem. Any thoughts?
Hi Jeff, this is something we'll have to look into because clipping shouldn't be common on your calls. We will see if its how the videos are recorded and if so, we'll find a way to change it to make it even more accurate.
Yeah I got to say as a musician I feel the 4320 has a much better mic. The Focus 2 is good but it needs a pop filter for the “plosives”… where as the 4320 has doesn’t have those exaggerated P’s and T’s etc. It would be nice to have the elastic band for comfort and the color way… but I get leery on new electronics that rely heavily on software that is almost always rushed out without proper testing. I wish they let you set and forget and not be reliant on an app
Just ordered the poly focus 2 uc. I hope I chose the right one
Let us know what you think
Very good review David. Tough call, listened twice using Bose 700 headset. My opinion is based on pure Mic Quality.
1. With focus 2, I still can hear very faint noise whereas none on 4320.
2. Mic output of 4320 is a little bit fuller and focus 2 is a bit tinny. This could be because of the longer boom of 4320, closer to the mouth.
3. On the outside test, I'm not sure if it's the same amount of wind when 4320 was tested. Wind noise is very minimal. Whereas on focus 2, (the wind could be stronger) the wind noise pretty heard loudly. A retest in the same wind environment? :)
Suggestion: can you add snippet of the volume meter when the mic and the noise are playing? From there will see noise is completely flatline when your bit speaking.
Again, very close but if I have to pick, I would choose 4320 based on 1-3 above.
Question : if I have Poly 4220, is it worth upgrading to 4320? How's the mic Quality of both? :)
Excellent observations, I completely agree, especially with your comment about the Focus 2 mic sounding more tinny than the 4320. I also agree that the fuller sound is an artifact of the longer mic boom (i.e. the mic is closer to your mouth.) Question - do you hear a bit of clipping/distortion from both headsets when he is talking? I do, most prominently when he raises his voice. Thanks for your post.
The focus 2 actually sounds fuller to me. The vocal frequency response is far wider and into the upper mids and treble while on the 4320 it sounds muffled because so many of the upper mid frequencies are completely cut off.
I have the focus 2 already, but to be fair, it was very obvious the 4320 has a better sounding mic than focus 2. Its much more stable (and less spiky/pitchy) therefore more comfortable to listen to. Must be due to longer mic/closer position. I don't care for ANC as it hurts my ears and has this awful suction type feel. Lighter and longer battery life is also a plus.
Hi Darrin, it sounds like you're going with the 4320 UC for a lot of valid points.
@@HeadsetAdvisor I know this was a Mic Test, but can I also ask about the speakers. As you mention both seem identical - but is it really from a specification & size perspective. Did you notice any difference in quality during calls/listening to music?
Easily fixed with software. However, work pcs won't let you have admin control lol
Love this comparison. My main obkective is I would really need to have mic sound quality and better noise cancelling when I talk in the meeting (via TEAM), should I select 4320?
I may not use to listen music so much.
Both headsets will work well, but the headset with the best mic we've tested is here ruclips.net/video/2y5tTOAzmUI/видео.html
Thanks. But it is over budget for me. So if I am not music lover, just for meeting via MS team, 4320 should be fine?
@@HeadsetAdvisor Finally I'm using 4320 now. Mic is so good. Listen music for working is also good.
I ordered the 4320. I might end up going back to office in the future but 100$ more is close to 50% price increase only for 1 feature. And i tought the sound was a bit more natural on the 4320 mic.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. All valid points.
@@HeadsetAdvisor just got them. I had the 5220 provided by work and had found a used Focus 1. The wired one worked better, with the focus ppl always complained it was cutting off or hearing me like i was far away. The 5220 are a bit more confortable on the head than the 4320 but the sound quality of the 4320 blows both of them. I hear better and get heard better.
great content, TY! which of these headsets would allow me to accept an incoming zoom call without clicking with my mouse? Is there a feature where If I'm away from my desk I can touch the headset or press a button to answer a call?
Hi Monroe, for this feature you'll want to stick within Poly, Jabra or Yealink wireless headsets because they're compatible with this feature.
From Poly the 4320 UC or Focus 2 UC is a good way to go.
Recommended wireless headset from Jabra ruclips.net/video/_2hTL7bU-sE/видео.html
Recommend wireless headset from Yealink ruclips.net/video/DIdPx1XsrNM/видео.html
Is the foam rubber (or whatever material is used) on the 4320 that rests on your head replaceable? Also, if these two headsets use different connectors, how is it one can use the same charging stand for both? Or do the headsets charge via some other method (and not the micro usb and usb c) in the charger stand? Or did I just misunderstand you?
I'll answer my own question about the charging stand and the connectors. The charging stand uses completely separate contacts from the USB-C or micro USB connector. As for whether the rubber material on the top of the 4320 is replaceable, I don't know. I'm going to say no since it at least appears to be solidly attached to the metal headband.
Which one would be better for loud kids and family members? Or is there another one you would recommend?
The best one we tested is here ruclips.net/video/p5J_xeMH2bw/видео.html
So been at my new job and first time I'm needing a headset. really think I want one of the two of these, my only thing is I don't think the Focus 2 sounds better, eating a usb c version and charging stand. I do sometimes have my dogs barking but mostly just at home 3 days and in the office two days. So which would you guys recommend?
Hi Judson, you can't go wrong with either headset and both have a noise canceling microphone to help reduce the dogs barking or any other background noise you have. One other model to consider is here ruclips.net/video/WKT_F75TtCc/видео.html
Also, to further answer your question. If the 4320 UC sounds better to you and the ANC feature in the speakers isn't most important to you, then the 4320 UC would be the way to go.
@@HeadsetAdvisor thank you, saw the other review also, sounded great but not sure if I want to pay the premium for that at this point. It’s a decent amount more just for the Focus 2
That was close but the mic on the focus is a hair better. Not enough to justify the price difference. The 4320 is a deal compare to the focus 2.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts :)
Do you also hear yourself through the microphone? I prefer to hear myself when talking
Yes, these both have sidetone :)
As for the comparison I can't get differences between this two.
Hmm... maybe mic 4320 are a bit better :)
Going for the Voyager 4320. Will charging with USB C to USB C cable have any cons?
Hi Gilberto, in regards to a headset there’s no difference in USB-A vs USB-C. It all depends which connection your computer has as to which you’d want to choose.
@@HeadsetAdvisor Many thanks for the input! Already got my unit, first impressions are the fine build, intuitive controls and pairing, good speakers and mic (as per review) and loads of battery juice. So far I'm glad with the choice.
ANC is on the MIC only? The speakers doesnt have ANC like most headphones?
Hi Peter, Focus 2 UC does have ANC in the speakers, the 4320 UC doesn't.
Any idea if either one of these headsets will work with Avaya One X Agent?
Yes, both will
@@HeadsetAdvisor thank you for the reply! I've been watching you and your brother these past few days and I gotta say, you are undoubtedly amazing, and can imagine you guys exploding with popularity in no time! You've earned a subscriber in me
I have couple questions here... Could you please messure new 4320 for me? 🙏🏻
What do you want them to measure? Just curious.
@@jsfbay1 Well, I have big head :) Like brontosaurus...
So it not make sense to buy too small headset :)
Maikeru - actually, I have the same problem. I almost always have to extend the earpieces to the longest possible position, and even then the headband feels tight. Thanks for clarifying, I truly didn’t know what it was you were asking for. We brontosauruses need to stick together :-)
@@jsfbay1 Yeah 😎🦕
I have my personal laptop in which I can install the headsets's software but my work PC is without any admin rights so I cannot install any software, can I use any of those headsets Plug and Play?
Yes, these headsets will work without the software. You just won't get the ability to answer/end calls away from the computer.
@@HeadsetAdvisor that's awesome as long as it does PnP 👌🏻 thanks for clearing that up for me. Good thing is that once I answer the call I can move around 👍🏼
Voyager Focus 2 all day long.
What made you choose the Focus UC 2?
Does the voyager 4320 uc have the flip to mute option? I cant find a definitive answer
No, I have tested both today. Only the Focus 2 Has it. Also if you check the user manuals you can find the raise to mute only mentioned as option on the Focus 2.
Why did Plantronics make come with a shorter and/or longer mic boom? What’s the difference?
Edward, Poly is one manufacturer that varies the length of their microphone booms. Some, like the Voyager Focus 2 for example, have a shorter microphone boom. Others, are a bit longer. I think it comes down to design preference and what they think not only looks appropriate for the model, but based on the mic technology used, which works best for the specific model.
4320 only uses 2 mic , Focus 2 uses 4 mic . So 4320 need longer boom to achieve similar performance as Focus 2.
Wow the sound is awful compressed distorted garble, I will keep my Sennheiser MB Pro 1
This is an upgrade compared to my $40 microphone
We'd hope so :)
4320 has a better sound quality
Thanks for watching!
4320 doesnt have noise cancellation but the mic works really well
Definitely!
this clip does not show it, but Focus 2-mic is much worse than in 4320. I own Focus 2 and owned 4200 (pretty the same as 4320) and talk 10+ hours a day,.
Hi Anton, thanks for sharing your thoughts!
How? It's double the price
How can you be doing a sound quality test when your video has terrible sound quality. You need to deaden your room a little and use a better microphone. A high-quality lav would be a big step up.
Hi Em, couldn't agree more, if you see our newer videos we've improved our mic setup. It's been a learning experience :)
