It's a shame that many of the dealers don't provide an experience befitting the sale of a $45k+ car (and I'd argue some barely provide an experience befitting the sale of a 2001 Impala with 360k on the odometer)

My God, the Kia Stinger GT is like an actually attainable dream car! It looks absolutely insane, it is fast as crap, it handles great when driven as the GT car that it is, and it is so ridiculously practical with that hatch design and cargo/passenger capacity. If I had $50k right now I'd already be signing the paperwork at my local Kia dealership right now.

Ok, it's been four years and you can get a low mileage example for $28-32k. Are you signing the paperwork soon?
And rest assured that if, in the very unlikely event you experience problems with the car, you will be treated properly by Kia. I know from experience. Avoid the European junk like the plague. As they say in Oz and NZ: "Only Fools and Poms buy European brands". Check J D Powers surveys to see that the German brands are junk both in terms of product quality and customer aftercare.
But you didn't have 50k and you most likely won't ever buy one of these. RIP Kia Stinger
You guys really nailed it ! This is not a sports car. It's a GT car and as such, you highlighted how awesome this car can be as a daily driver.
I saw a Stinger GT in the wild for the first time this afternoon. It was a GT2 in Hi-Chroma red with black leather, the same color combination that you see in all the commercials and preview drives. This Stinger was parked on the street, so I was able to stand and view it from different angles for a few minutes. Such a striking and eye-catching design.
I also get a smile on my face every time I look at mine. Such a good looking car.

I think they use the Element as a follow car usually, but I've heard Yuri mention that his family has a benz? Maybe he borrowed it for the day?

Watching this 3 years late as I just bought a GT2 Certified pre owned. Cross shopped with a VW Golf R and Alfa Stelvio. No doubt I made the right choice.

I bought my stinger GT1 3 weeks ago. I was cross shopping the BMW 4 series gran goupe along with the 3 series and Audi S4. What really won me over with the stinger was the warranty. And it's more spacious than all of those. The biggest downfall for the car to me is city fuel efficiency. If I drive it like I want it I'll easily see 14-16 MPG city. But highway I get about 27MPG. Not bad for the power you get. But city could be better. Loving it so far. I got the Pearl White.

Israr Kabir This is trying to be an "enthusiast" car. Does not make much sense to me when you can get an automatic G80 used with a V8 for 30k used CPO with less than 20k miles which is basically the same if not better than this car as a touring machine. The Stinger needs more than hype to get anyone to buy it.

I love this channel!! Dozens of channels out there that give all the specnical, detailed, useful information, but you guys give that much desired "useless" information... The stuff that really stacks up when owning a car, the little things that no one thinks to consider at the dealership but then gets on your nerves on month two of owning it. Great job guys!

I just bought a stinger GT. Will be a great daily for our Ontario winters.

How are you liking so far, is it costly to maintain and how much gas does it take on a daily basis?
First car I bought from a dealer was a Kia Spectra SX. Loved it so much, when I saw the Forte come out, I waited a few years and bought an SX Koup. A few years later (now), the Stinger comes out. Have a small family that's starting to grow, and the Koup isn't cutting it. Time for an upgrade!!! Hoping I'll be able to snag one used in a year or two for cheap... Worked with the Forte, but I doubt it with how much press this thing has gotten. Ugh!!! Why you gotta be so good, Kia!?!?? 😂😅😓😢😭😭😭😭

Jacob K Even an 2016 or 2017 Optima SXL would be good for you until the price of the GT2 comes down after a few years of being on the used market
Agree totally about the Optima, rear seats are very spacious for a midsize sedan, and the SXL has the 2.0T and any other goodies you could ever want

Love your "Daily Driver KIA Stinger" review, and I finally just bought a 2018 KIA Stinger GT2 fully loaded - I love this car!!!
This car is so much fun, incredible, comfortable and fast.
Everyone loves how it looks and so many people do stare as I cruise past them.
This car is amazing.
I also added the 4 year / 80 000 km extended warranty when I purchased the car for peace of mind.
I just bought a Kia Stinger GT black from Archer Kia here in Houston. The dealer was crappy but the car is worth it. I traded my 2016 VW Passat SEL. I considered waiting for the new VW Arteon but I've been yearning for a pure RWD GT that didn't cost damn near 6 figures. The Buick Regal GS was another vehicle I considered waiting on but it was just to feminine to me. The Buick would be a cute car for a mom but it's a little too soft for my taste. Now the car that almost won my heart was a 2016 Chevy SS black with red custom interior. However after driving them back to back the Kia just felt lighter and more agile. I love this car and I have no regrets. This is my first Korean vehicle so we shall see how this goes.

I was considering both the SS and the Regal GS, I like the underdog effect those cars have! I ended up getting an ISF and couldn't be happier.
It's a shame they don't rebuild the SS with a sportier look on Cadillac's Alpha Platform. The CTS-V is a beast but it's over $100K and the only affordable option to get the platform is a Camaro.

I got one recently. Fantastic daily. Super comfortable and practical and fast at the same time. Zero compromise car.
Was looking at a used bmw 4 Gran coupe... either 3 years old, less power and ugly color scheme, or 4 years old, less power, ok color scheme for around the same price. Or 6 year old audi A7 for a lower price. So... Nope. Kia... Brand new, the color i wanted, and warranty. Yay.
Most annoying thing is that i can't use voice commands to change the radio when Android auto is on, but i think that's an Android auto problem.

It is an awesome car, but the article your referring to that was pushed out by Jalopnik from the original AU video is pretty misleading. Motor Trend and many other "car testing" channels and programs have had the GT run low 12s and the Stinger run mid 13's. Its all a matter of where your at, whos driving, and what the temp is. They are pretty close in quarter mile but honestly shouldn't really be compared at all. Someone interested in a Kia stinger wouldn't go oh the mustang GT is faster, then Ill get that or vice versa.

Stevethepirate8973 nah the stinger needs to be launched correctly. The DOHC engine means good top end but terrible low end torque. My friends stinger forst was 4.6 now broken in is 4.1 with the launch mode and mid 12s in the quarter. Plus with just a tune it adds 80 hp and 120 ft lbs. Thats 450 hp and 495 ft lbs with low 3 second 0-60s

Exhaust Sports Auto the limited is still an option it’s just not on the website. You have to go to a dealer to get it. My dad has a 2018 Cadenza SX-L and it’s not on the website

I’ve got a stinger and it’s amazing so much fun to drive recently it was in the shop for 6 weeks and I got it back today and it felt like picking up my dog after not seeing him for a week I had a huge smile on my face
I love my Stinger. The best car for the price hands down! I can't say enough about have great this car is. I get complements and head turns everywhere I go.

welcome to canada lol. we finally get one thing better than the US in the automotive segment.
I found your channel while researching a replacement for my 2014 Taurus SHO. I cross shopped a Fusion Sport and a Regal GS, but neither of them were an upgrade … after watching many reviews (including yours) I got the US version of the car in this review except mine is blue with the all season tires. I love the car, and it definitely is my daily driver. Hard to replace a Taurus SHO for an enthusiast, but a Stinger GT2 AWD is a really fun and useful replacement in Minnesota … with better acceleration, handling, traction, control, winter driving characteristics, and features. My favorite part of daily driving it is the combination of the electronic parking brake, the electronic shifter, and the auto hold. I turn on the auto hold, os each time I arrive at my location, I just open the door and get out … it sets the parking brake and puts it in park. I love it. There’s so many thoughtful touches car, it makes any day I drive better, and makes every day one that I want to spend driving.
I test drove it and was seriously impressed. Just don't want to spend $40k US on it since it doesn't have a manual. I'd rather get some if else right now with a stick and get this a few years down the line.

I came across this channel yesterday and binged a bunch of your old videos and subscribed. I wanted to share my Android Auto work around with Yuri, I also prefer iPhone over Android on my personal phone but Apple Maps sucks. So I have a basic basic android phone (an old one from a friend or family member works too) plugged into my Fiesta ST all the time. It has a $10 Sim card on my family plan active on it. So I can use my iPhone as my personal phone but my car has Android Auto and therefore Google Maps active on the dash as soon as I turn the engine. Works like a dream, and with music, Spotify Connect will let me control the music from my iPhone though it plays through the car. I can receive calls cause my carrier mirrors my calls, I just can’t do Siri, outgoing calls or text through the car from my number cause Android Auto does that extra number. But I can live with the trade off.

Great video guys, though I'm a little cautious when it comes to walking into a Kia dealership.
Have been daily driving this 18 GT. Gotta say, favorite car I've owned/driven. One thing you forgot to mention is the annoying trunk rattle. That is my main complaint about this car, especially when you are on bumpy roads. At first I didn't really notice it, but now I hear it constantly. Not the biggest thing, but one thing to keep in mind.
I used your video along with the ones by Throttle House to assist me in my cross shopping for my new car. I had a 2011 Kia Optima SX Turbo. Loved it. I cross shopped the Acura TLX A-Spec, Lexus IS 350, BMW M440i,Genesis G-70. I bought the Kia Stinger GT Limited in Brampton. I shopped the car at multiple dealerships in the GTA. Thanks for your efforts guys, you helped make my decision. This car has better power than the Acura and Lexus. The BMW is twice the price and the G70 doesn't have the utility and is 8 grand more. It does have prepaid maintenance though. The Stinger is fast, comfortable, convenient, practical, good looking and fun at the best possible price. Also has the best warranty of any of the competitors. There is a reason you guys have done so many videos of this car. It's fun to drive!

Does not need a manual trans to be fun, it's a bit large for a manual I think. Not THAT kind of sport car, but looks sporty and has class.
i've owned my for almost 2 years and i didn't know the headrests moved forwards and backwards until now.

I went to see the Stinger when it arrived at the Kia dealership here in St. John's Newfoundland. For a while it was 1 of 1 on the island and very well still may be. I was mesmerized by the presence of the car, and the attention it received. It was 8:00 in the morning (my Rio was getting an oil change) and there must have been at least 8 or 9 people circling the car. I got the same feeling when looking at the Stinger that I received when I had the incredible opportunity to see the Lexus LC500 up close at the Lexus dealer in Barrie, Ontario last summer. Both these cars, are the underdogs in their segments. But because of that, they both seem that much more special. Good job Kia, and as always, great video guys! :)
This car reminds me of the Mazdaspeed 6 from 2006 - AWD, sleeper performance, unexpected brand release. That’s a really good thing.

two weeks into mine and I cant tell you a single best thing either. The best I can do is the smile I get every time I give here a look back after I got out and the smile every time I come back to her. Love, love, love this car. Love that it's different, so, so comfortable, the cocooned driving position, the speed, the Harmon Kardon system, the head-up display, and the "on the move" rear camera.....though granted you need it.
Don't likes? In the UK, the fuel this thing needs gets pricey. But that's helped by the fact I've given beer to help loose the beer gut, arms, legs, face, ass.

I bought my 2019 Ceramic Silver Stinger GT2 on December 31st and paid $11K off sticker! My last car was a Lexus IS350 and the Stinger blows it away! Every time I walk out to get in my blood pressure goes up and my heart starts racing! This car actually has a cause and effect on my body! Amazing! This is by far the best car I have ever owned! Kia has performed a miracle!
