@@TracesofTwaunsLife Thank you. I bought 2 blue towels from Ollies. They shed too much. Everything in my bathroom turns blue.

You’re welcome! Thank you and God bless!
nice video thank you. never imagine i need to find solution in youtube lol
You’re welcome! You can use vinegar as well.
Watching now my friend! This will be good to know :)
Hi Pete, thanks so much!
Great tip!
I tried using vinegar with my detergent and I believe that stopped the shedding - however, when I went to use the dryer, that caused the towels to start shedding again! Think I might do the vinegar trick again, then hang the towels to dry.
Try using the vinegar every now and then to keep the shedding down.
I read you should use dryer sheets that is suppose to help
Thank you!!!! Did you put the mixture in the laundry soap slot or fabric softener slot? Thabks
Hello, I put it in the laundry soap slot. You’re welcome & thanks for watching!
Hi Twaun!! Happy Friday love ❤️
Hi SweetLady C ♥️❤️
You only wash with baking soda?
No detergent no fabric conditioner?
Yes use detergent
lovely video. didn’t seem to work for me. any tips?
Try it again. You will notice the decrease. Also you can use vinegar.
@@TracesofTwaunsLife tried it again, turned it into 2 loads. figured 4 towels and 2 face cloths were too much. so went 2 and 1 twice and poof. i’d say 95% of the lint balls are gone. thank you so much😊😊
@@jaxonmclean999 awesome! I do it at least once or twice a month. The vinegar or baking soda also cut the odor from the rags and towels.
Yes, when they are new they will shed a lot of loose fabric from first coming out of the packaging but how do you keep them from shading months down the line.
Thanks
Repeat the wash process every now & then.
What brand towels and wash cloths are those?
It’s been so long ago that I don’t remember. It’s mentioned on the video.
I bought 2 bath towels, both are shedding so that when i use it after bathing to dry myself, the lint attaches to my body. Its irritating. I tried the vinegar+ detergent +hot water technique, hand washed my towels, but shedding hasn’t stopped. Dont know what should i do now.
Try it again. Each time you use and then wash them you will notice a decrease in the lint.
We dont use dryers in colombia. We use the power of the sun. Any other suggestions on getting rid of that lint?
Washer
Which works best? Vinegar or this? I saw that you tried both
Hi Kamaria, no difference to me. Thanks for watching!
I don't know where in the hell these towels are coming from now! I have never NEVA had issues with towels "pilling" ! Never until the last few years when all this 3rd world country Egyptian cotton started a fad. We're cotton farmers for over 35 years .... And looks to me like there's a shortcut they are using now when processing this cotton for consumer use. Don't think they are combing this cotton anymore. It will stop up your plumbing system that's for sure or...worst start a fire in the dryer lint screen.. Hopefully they won't start making clothes out of this stuff! Cheap "luxurious" selling as expensive cotton! Ridiculous!
Yessssssssss! It make you want to buy thin Walmart towels because this is too much.
I bought 50%cotton 50% rayon bamboo and they're a shed fest 😮
@@TracesofTwaunsLife I know this is hard to believe but I still have towels from our wedding shower over 40 yrs go. No holes, no shedding (ever), and no raveling yet. I know they came from Gayfers (an old retail store) but apparently they were very tightly woven then and, made in the USA. I can't read the label anymore to see what brand or % it is but I guess that wouldn't matter now if they are made in 3rd world countries. I believe it's the manufacturing process causing this shedding right after the cotton is picked. They should be combing it a LOT to prevent the shedding plus it is not as tightly woven as the old towels.
What's with all that music???? Geeeee!
