I am part of a community of thousands of women who have decided to embrace their natural gray hair and it is extremely freeing. Gray hair does not make someone look older. It is actually just our society that perpetuates that idea. My skin actually looks more vibrant and younger with my natural gray hair than when I was trying to dye it to cover the gray. In my personal opinion, when you had the gray hair against your skin, I thought your skin looked amazing. It is completely society perpetuating that gray hair equals old. Young women go gray all the time but we don’t know that because young women have been taught to dye their hair. It is completely a personal choice and I am not against hair dye in the slightest! I am just against society making women feel that their natural selves are lacking in someway.
I agree. I thought the silver was gorgeous on Erin
I would say that it looks amazing on many women but it does make some women look older. I look much older with gray hair so I prefer to color it. To each his/her own🌺
Agree! I think most women don't want to look 'dated' or older than they are but there is a beauty in accepting the age one is. I am 58 & don't care about looking 10 or 20 years younger. What is the benefit? I want to look like who I am: a healthy & active woman who has lived 5 decades. Also, the thinning hair can be an issue re:hormones & aging but in my case, I have always had fine hair, it hereditary & I accept that. I am on low-dose thyroid meds, so I'm glad I'm not chasing a goal of thicker hair with supplements. I just keep my hair trimmed above my shoulders regularly.
Yes! I'm just letting it grow in. I'm actually DELIGHTED to finally have some texture! I've lived my whole life with silky blonde hair that refused to stay in any style. Now my braids stay in place and a curls stays put!
Grayson Walley Usually when gray hair makes women look older it is because of a style choice not necessarily the color! And you are right to each their own! ❤️
Two years ago at this time, I was bald from chemo. It was absolutely devastating. But I made the best of it with different wigs. Had no choice. Actually my picture here, I’m wearing a wig. I am almost back to my pre cancer hair now. Thick and long 🙏🏼🙏🏼
So glad your health has improved, Lisa! Thank you for sharing. You look beautiful in your profile picture! xo
So happy you’re doing well! You look beautiful in that photo. Wigs have come such a long, long way.
I would have never thought that was a wig. You're beautiful and God bless you!
Looks good I hope you're better now

I am letting my hair go gray, so far I like it! I love the contrast against my natural really dark hair. Great tips!
Wonderful! Glad you liked this one! xo
I let a piece of my hair go gray and love my streak. So you go girl
@rigleia me too! My scalp used to react and get sore from hair dye and now its healthier than ever. I also hate the idea grey=old. Young ladies are paying to get their hair dyed silver so I figured I'd save myself some money lol.
I have been doing the same thing. Mine is long and dark, so to avoid the “grey line,” my hair dresser adds a few baby high lights when I go for a trim and suggested a shampoo and conditioner for silver hair. It’s helped. I can attest to Collagen being beneficial. It goes in my morning coffee and I don’t even notice it. 😊
@@sophh1585 Yes,grey does not automatically equal "old"! My naturally silver hair (started greying in high school) that i FINALLY let grow out is just beautiful and i get way more compliments on my natural colour than i did from any colour i had put on my hair. I'll never dye my hair again.
When I quit smothering my scalp in chemicals, and finally embraced my gray, my scalp flourished, my receding hairline started sprouting new, baby hairs and my entire head of hair thickened up considerably. It could breathe again.
I am losing my hair so don't want to bleach now. I hope I can embrace my gray. We will see
I quit coloring 3 years ago and it was the best decision I made. My hair is so thick, healthy and shiny with zero products or styling. My hair feels like it did when I was a teenager before I started messing with it. I do have a few streaks of gray but I think it looks pretty. My husband has no complaints. Also...your natural color always matches your skin tone.
I had to stop coloring my hair because it made my hair fall out like crazy. The last time, I lost at least half my hair. Most of it eventually grew back, but even with monoxidil, it isn't what it was.
I find Dr. Hauschka shampoo and conditioner excellent for my fine dry coloured hair. I too am embracing going grey and hope to have a natural ash blonde as opposed to a chemical one. Great tips btw.
Same- I went natural at 37 and my hair has never been healthier!
I started taking collagen powder on your recommendation. I didn't notice a difference until I had been doing it for two months but wow. EVEN hair loss stoped. My stylist was amazing at the transformation. You saved my hair. I have added Tati's Halo hair booster and that has made it even better. Finally, a prewash hair mask called "elasticizer" from Phillip Kingsley is amazing. I took i to my mother's beach house a couple of weeks ago and all of my daughters, I have four and my two nieces were instant converts. You really notice a difference in bounce after you use it. Finally, I am using a Kerastase leave in night conditioner. My hair looks 20 years younger than it did four. months ago. !!!!
What do you use the collagen powder in?
@@susanyakus3879 I mix the collagen in my coffee or a smoothie...it mixes well
Which colleges powder do you use?
@@serenity0091 which collagen is that?? I have tried a few that taste terrible and leave lumps in the liquid impossible to dissolve. I would love one tasteless I could add in my drink in the morning and off I go for the day. I would appreciate you could share the name of the one you use.
@@esn2130 I use Vital Proteins unflavored collagen. No taste and blends easily with a frother.
Great tips! Naturally curly hair does typically need a lot of product, which it seems most people dont talk about. To achieve healthy looking curls without frizz is the ultimate goal.
Yes! I usually apply a few drops of oil in the morning, and later in the day as well.
I’m curly to so I use a lot of products as well.
So true. Curly hair takes a lot of time and work
Thank you, Michelle! xo
So agree Michelle . I don’t have wash and wear ready to go hair due to my waves . My hair styles fantastic , hairdressers can get it do anything . I Don’t have the expertise to style it well , I’m fine with that . More a natural Beachy type anyway 😊
I disagree about silver hair making a person look older. After you hit 50 and, most especially, 60, wearing a very dark brown even if it's your previous natural color, ages a person greatly. Wearing your own natural silver, or salt & pepper is far more flattering. If you wear your natural color, it brightens your face and works better with your skin. And, the bonus is wearing silver in a modern cut means lots of men compliment you. I didn't anticipate the extra attention. I get compliments on my silver color all of the time, and no one ever complimented my natural color. Truth.
I am almost 75 and my natural color is medium brown. During quarantine a lot of gray came in and I looked so much older! I have a young looking hair style, to the collarbone, and my stylist keeps me at light to medium brown. One thing the gray does, though, is gives me natural highlights!! They come in as kind of a blondish/brown color. She has told me that if I just let all the natural gray come in, it would definitely age me and would be very coarse and wavy. If I wanted to have it look shiny and smooth, I would have to go see her, anyway! Some people have coloring that can handle natural gray, I just don't 😊
I think your comparison is about good to better. This color try on is about finding the best color for your skin.
I do agree that women often pick colors that are less flattering than their natural color. That is why it is so important to really get the shade right if you decide to use color. I think it's great that you are loving your silver hair! xo
I’m almost 52 and respectfully disagree with MoonBaby
I agree doing your hair darker when you're older does not look good.
You’re killing me with your comment “straight up witch!”
I was using the Olaplex 3, 4, and 5 regularly until I stopped fighting my natural curls. I use it occasionally now. I'm a licensed hairdresser and keeping curly hair happy has been a learning curve for me! Olaplex #3 isn't a conditioner, it's a treatment that repairs disulfide bonds...it states that on the bottle. Once the hair is rinsed, then shampooed, a nourishing conditioner should be used. Their products contain silicones which can build up over time. I agree with 'too much product' but would definitely use a heat protectant when using styling tools.
Lucky you to have curls
My hair is naturally red. I’m 57 n Nobody ever has the correct color because you can’t fake red hair 👩🏻🦰 I think everyone has their own things that could age them no matter how old they are.
I used to bring my poor teenage son in with me and tell them, that is my hair that I want back! We are auburn. Even when they got it right it would fade in four weeks and by then I would have roots anyhow. Red hair color fades quickly.
I use St. Tropica TruBloom Hair Growth Vitamins and it’s done wonders for my “menopause” hair. I highly recommend it.
My hair started falling out in my 30s....tried everything....every doctor....no luck sadly. I decided to start wearing wigs and now 15 years later, it is the best decision ever. I can change style, length , colour in an instant! Don't cry about hair loss like I did. Rock a great wig and look beautiful,! Youthful hair forever😊
Hi, Dr Eric Berg has a stack of RUclips videos for natural treatments / supplements for hair fall and alike. If you ever want to go that path ❤
I started using Perfect 10 Leave-in Conditioner with Keratin and my dry hair feels soft. Also, WOW Dream Coat makes my hair really soft.
Good to know! Thank you for sharing, Anastasia! xo
I love WOW dream coat! Mine hair is super frizzy and wow is my secret sauce.
I would never ask a doctor what kind of supplements I can take. they have no idea and have been trained to sell the chemical pharmaceuticals. i do my own research and am critical of everything.
I use the dr my insurance covers for blood testing and then I go to my natural guy. (sorry I don't know how to spell his credentials) I agree with doing our own research too
Tip #5 is so true. Some women get stuck in a time warp. Having long hair isn’t always a good thing for some women. Not all long hair is equal. I’ve seen some woman shave off a decade with a great hair cut.
So true! xo
I agree, but depends on the person's face. I am 52, and look very young for my age. My hair is down to my waist, but still very thick, shinny and healthy. I am a hairstylist, and was always one that thought that once you hit 40, the long hair, had to go. Here I am, and it's longer now than it has been since I was 15.
I think the darker blonde, more towards your natural tone, is the most flattering on you. 😊
I took a leap ant cut my hair above my shoulders (somewhat of a chin area length bob). I think that was hands down the best thing I've done to look more youthful. I think I look much more stylish with shorter hair.
I just cut mine to shoulder length too . Mine is naturally curl and the cut just made my hair looks way too fuller than I want. I want it more layers to thin it down but the hairdresser doesn't understand my problem.
I love MONAT hair products! They are vegan, made with clean ingredients, and are free of parabens, phthalates, harsh salts, SLS, and harmful fragrances.
Thanks for sharing, Carolyn! xo
Going gray left me with thick hair as all the breakage grew back healthier and I constantly find baby hairs. One of the many positives of going gray is that not only do I save money, I save time and the air drying has brought new luster which is hard for gray to achieve. Now experimenting with growing longer after having a Bob. Each month I ask my husband if I have achieved "witchdom" yet! LOL
That's great! Glad you are loving it, Lisa! xo
I have had the same experience and I now have naturally wavy hair. I love not having to check if my hair roots need color.
I also like not having to cover gray line constantly!
one day, hopefully, we all will achieve witchdom ;)
love love the high waisted jean!!!!! with white tee. Where did you get them?!?!
I loved loved loved this hair color virtual try on!!!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I work for a dermatologist and we recommend viviscal for hair thinning.
I’ve used that wonderful product and still do. Absolutely great
Great product, if you have fish allergies do not use .
Where do you get it?
I can never decide what colour my veins are either!
Right? It's so confusing! xo
❤️ I was a blond kid and teen, but my color is now at 50, quite dark, I tried for couple of years go with out coloring but I just couldn’t get use to it. Dark blond with some highlights is my happy place. I still could not wait to check out the app 😀
Glad you found a color that works for you! The app is super cool, isn't it? xo
I agree with you...I do the same thing!
Same here .illbe 50 next year and idont have a single grey hair.ilso haven't had ahiglight for 6 months due to lockdowns so I'm trying to rock the natural balyage 🤣
I have an amazing stylist/colorist who works magic matching hair color that compliments your complexion. She has created a beautifully unique color combination on which I receive compliments all the time. No one will ever see me in grey hair because of my talented stylist who gives me incredible confidence every day! Don’t give into the grey if you can find a knowledgeable, talented colorist who knows her stuff!
your so lucky to have found a good colorist like that, I asked mine to color my hair like my natural color ( light ash brown) to cover the grays and she colored my hair red
I use Modere, toxin free hair products, work wonders, give so much volume to my hair
Thank you so much for sharing! xo
The reddy brown colour just after the light orange was great, at about 4 min mark.
But should not wear lip colour like that when testing, just brings out the red tones more
Hi would you share the hair color and brand you used - it is gorgeous !!!!!!
You look super beautiful Erin ! I swear your inner beauty reflects outside ❤️ this is @aswisslife in Instagram
Thank you, Nina! xo
No joke, I think the silver looked great on you. It needs to be a light silver.
Thank you! xo
I agree! It evens out the redness.
I totally agree, the silver really looked stellar on her! ^_^
I agree.
Very cool. I'm going to have to try the virtual try on
You should...It's a very cool tool! xo
I never knew the affect losing my hair to chemo would have on me! It was devastating.
I'm sure, Shelley...so much of our identity is in our hair. I hope your health has improved! xo
Shelley Carr, my sister was the same. She lost her beautiful dark curls. I offered to shave my head with her but she wouldn't let me. Her hair has now grown back and she feels more like herself, again. I wish the same for you, most sincerely.
Well done, informative and actionable. One of the best videos I have seen on this subject. Bravo and thank you!
Wow, thank you! Glad it was helpful! xo
Great comments, Erin. Love your practical approach to everything...
The red looked amazing on you! Brought out a vibrant glow. I may be biased though as I love red hair.
Thank you, Joy! xo
I agree
I thought so too. Looked awesome!
Great video, thank you!! I have embraced my gray hair. I went through breast cancer treatment five years ago, and after my hair began to grow back I decided not to color. I was 41 at the time. I really love it now and feel like I can have fun with the new color palette. My makeup is now different too. 😎
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm so happy you are enjoying your natural color and that your health has improved! Thank you for sharing, Elena! xo
I went natural a few years ago and I love it. Your hair color is gorgeous and I’m so happy that you have regained your health! I hope you stay cancer free❤️
Thanks so much, this was brilliant. I'm in my 30s but I'm finding your channel has such great content even for younger people that get stuck in a rut or are transitioning into their mid to late 30s. Such good tips on changing up your hair styles!
Thank you SO much, Gina! Glad you find my videos helpful! xo
No one in my family greys. We all degrade into field rodent colors.
I really recommend the book Going Gray by Anne Kreamer. One of the most memorable parts of the book is when they did a little study on whether gray hair actually makes you look older. e.g. would people guess the person's age correctly or would they guess younger when the hair was colored and older what it was not?
Guess what? You look the same age, more or less, whether you color your hair or have natural platinum hair. :)
What ages folks isn't their hair color. Study showed that. What ages you is your hair style and hair health (is it shiny or dull), energy level, attitude, clothing, makeup, and intellectual curiosity and vibrancy. I adore my platinum hair. Stopped coloring about 4 years ago, grew it out and never looked back. Reading that book gave me a lot of insight and courage to do what I wanted to -- and for me (your mileage may and likely will, vary) I feel more authentic, much more free now that I don't have to keep checking roots and going to a salon and so far in the last 4 years, I've saved about $4000 in hair coloring costs and my hair is more shiny and far healthier.
Yep, skin makes all the difference not hair color. This lady wouldn’t know that yet though.
Gray hair almost always ages people, I think. Or at least makes them look their age if they're a 40 yr old having a young looking like a 30 yr old face, with the gray hair they look at least 40. They can still look beautiful with gray hair though. :)
"That is not. How. We. Roll." Amen, sister!
Hey Erin I thought about you yesterday I got my jeans I ordered from nordstrom, rag and bone, love them. I've heard you talk about them so I thought I'm doing it this year. Glad I did.
Thx, Erin, I plan on fighting every damn wrinkle!!! 👊🏼💪🏼
I'm with you, Shella! xo
If anyone is experiencing hair loss, get your doctor to check your iron studies and also Vitamin D! My hair was thinning and I discovered it was extremely low ferritin (on the way to iron deficiency anemia) and low vitamin D. I’m taking an iron supplement now, Nutrafol (has vit D in it), and collagen powder now and it’s definitely helping!
Definitely great advice! Thank you for sharing, Sheri! xo
My hair loss was due to an iron deficiency too. I am seeing a dermatologist and she is helping me to get it healthy again. She recomended me Nutrafol and I am just starting to take it.
Hypothyroidism can cause hair loss too and its a very common issue for both male and females.
sign of low iron can be loosing eyebrows hair ..
Very helpful!!
I lovd my hair after a color process. It seems to clarify the product and mineral buildup in my hair.
Me, too! I used to love how shiny my hair looked after dying it. I had to stop because I developed a very bad reaction to it and I've never found anything else that made my hair gleam like that.
I ditched the hair color 3 years ago! The absolute best decision ever it's so liberating not having to color every 3 weeks. However, my silver sparkles require purple shampoo like Purelogy as regular maintenance. My favorite hair mask is Kerastase.
Thank you for sharing, Yvonne! Purple shampoo can be a game changer for keeping grey hair shiny. xo
So did I😊. I became allergic to the hair dye so had to stop getting it done but it was the best thing I ever did. I get more compliments about the colour now than I ever did when it was coloured.
Kerastase is the bomb! Totally transformed my hair from straw to silky. I loved the masque so much that I ended up ordering one of their shampoos, a serum that you can leave on overnight...and you don't have to rinse it out in the morning if you don't feel the need to. I also love their thermal protector. It might be a little more pricey than products I've used, but now I don't have to keep buying so many different things only to use one time, then find out they don't work for me. In the long run, I think it will be more cost effective, plus just a little bit goes a long way and I have very thick hair.
Kerastase is amazing♥️both my daughter in laws and myself are hairdressers. I'm retired now but, we stand by this product a bit pricey but it goes along way. There is a line for each type of hair. Salons carry this product.
Thanks for sharing, Alexis!! I also love Kerastase products! xo
This product is the best!! Worth the money
Great tips...always try to switch up my hair...it really does make a difference! Hugs, Joye
It really does! xo
At 47, my hair is responding well with Arbonne's True Hair Replenishing Mask and their TrueStyle Anti-frizz dry oil with Pequi Oil. Also using their Skin Elixir supplement. has Hyaluronic Acid. Clean and vegan.
Another homerun video! BTW, I have been using Nutrafol for a 15 months now for my hair thinning (had a small bald spot last May due to hair trauma, too tight high buns) - it really has made a difference!
Thanks for sharing! That's amazing, Michelle! Thank you! xo
My daughter is a hair stylist and she loves biolage products
Thanks for sharing! xo
Oddly, I thought the reddish blonde looked good on you. It made you look like you were in your early 30's.
Nobody can fake natural red hair.
This is a great video! One thing I have found to add shine to my hair is argan oil. Just put a little in your palm and rub throughout your hair. It won't weigh it down and looks great.
Great tip, Susan! xo
Does argon oil add brown tint to coloured hair?
Have you noticed a difference in your skin with the calogen supplement?
YES!! It makes a big difference. Your hair will probably grow faster. Collagen is so good for you besides skin, hair and nails. Glutathione (liposomal) helps too.
I find conditioner clogs my pores and makes it itchy and greasy too soon. Usually just do the ends.
I think you would look fab as a strawberry blonde with lots of tones x
I so agree about hair color! I’ve been doing my own hair since I was a teen and I still do it by myself, and get compliments all the time. When I was young I used to love going really blonde and then one day I grew it out a bit and I was told it looked really good. So since then I feel I look best with dirty blonde with ashy blonde highlights, nothing too extreme or brassy, and I’m very happy with it.
I think both the blonde and the gray looked great and you looked the same age.
As Erin said check with your doctor! Some supplements have allergens in them. Marine collagen for example, shellfish is in it. Nut allergy? Many products use treenuts. THANK YOU ERIN, great advice💚💚💚
Wow ! The virtual Hair video you showed us, I did not realize how important your hair color was !! Another great video!!!! Thank you so much for keeping it real. Have a great rest of the week.
I have been a professional hairstylist for 30 years and this is all very accurate GREAT information! Great job :) Thank you for sharing with everyone that sometimes beautiful hair and skin really does come from what we put IN our bodies... so so true!!
John Masters is great. They used to have an unscented line that I haven’t been able to find lately.
I had to go gray in my 30s due to hair dye allergies. Oh well.
What site did you use for virtual color try on?
Here is the link, Lilly! xo
I've gone a year and 1/2 years w/o coloring
I haven’t colored my hair in a year, initially in preparation for what I knew would be a period of unemployment, but which has stretched much longer due to the pandemic. My heavy damage has been growing out and far less grey than I expected had been growing in. My hairstylist said the grey on top blends in with my natural highlights and the patch on the front can be hidden if necessary with a creative part or makeup (mascara or eyeshadow). As experiments go, this one has been pretty positive.
Sap Moss by Aveda is amazing.
Thank you for sharing, Sharon! xo
I love the platinum on you. Your a natural blond so you might as well go platinum.
Thank you, Felicia! I think it is a little lighter than I'm comfortable with. xo
Indian women have oiled their hair for 1,000 s of years. that’s why they generally have such gorgeous hair. Unroasted sesame oil, coconut oil are wonderful for your hair and brain. Yes, collagen made my hair thick, thick, thick! If you are on medications, check with your doctor and your pharmacist. Often your pharmacist will know more about interactions and side effects than your doctor.
That's a great tip, Sophie! xo
Some ladies can get away with looking good of the grey is the right color but I personally think it always ages.
Aging no way! I belong to two groups on FB devoted to going grey with members sporting beautiful grey, silver, white, gunmetal, salt & pepper, streaked you name it. I'm not trying to look 30; I'm proud of my salt & pepper, and my hubby stills thinks I'm hot
Sometimes it doesn’t actually age you, but other people’s perception of you is older! Gray hair is still associated with old age. So you could be 30 with premature grey hair, but people will probably think you are older because of it!
U look great with the red hairs ❤️
Thank you! xo
Great video Erin, I highly recommend Bhringraj oil for thinning hair! It’s an all natural Ayurvedic treatment. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you, Marion! I'll have to check that out! xo
Problem here. Turning 40 in 12 days, and I have oily hair and oily skin. Also long, thick hair. Not necessarily looking younger with this oilyness. So, I wash every 3rd day and use lots of conditioner. And wash my face at least 3 times a day with natural soap that gets the pH balance right, and moisturize with very little cream. But I still look old! Some beauty tips for hair and face before my birthday? PLEASE?
I have a beauty video specifically featuring tips to look younger coming up really soon. Stay tuned, Sonia! xo
An important step after using a clarifying shampoo is to use a deep conditioner that, optimally, you can keep on for 20 minutes, then rinse with cool water. I started doing this about six months ago consistently and the difference in my hair is remarkable.
Great tip! Thank you for sharing! xo

Sorry gals but I cannot join the grey brigade, to me it just screams laziness and no one looks younger with grey hair, however much you try and convince yourselves
Thank you! So true
I joined as soon as they started coming out. I keep a current and clean cut haircut at all times. I wear fashionable clothes and I wear some makeup. I never used to wear makeup but i feel it compensated for the grey coming in. Also, it depends in your body type and skin color/undertones. I’m a “natural” athletic build. Many of my clothes lend themselves to that laissez faire look. It’s not for everyone!
I think you can wear gray but keep everything impeccably groomed. Shiny gray and anti yellow as required.
Grey hair can and often does look as good or better than dyed or bleached hair... no matter how much one may try to convince themself to the contrary that they are looking younger/better with color!Everyone gets to choose; let’s celebrate all our differences as well as those things we have in common. Beauty comes in many shades and variations! Grey does not automatically equal old looking!
I went grey very reluctantly because I just couldn't afford to have it professionally coloured, and have had so many genuine compliments on my naturally silver hair (I'm 67) that I'd never go back. How that very personal decision would scream laziness to you I have no idea. To each their own
Your videos are always good, thank you.
Glad you like them, Amanda! xo
Hi Erin, I think the results of the virtual try-on would have been more effective had you worn a neutral shade lipstick.
Unfortunately, when you wear white clothing next to your hair and face, it messes with the colors that show up on film as well.
I wash my hair in rainwater. I use castille soap and VO5 hair dressing. No other products in my hair, but I do take vitamins for hair skin and nails. My hair got MUCH thicker when I got all the conditioner buildup out of it! It also grew much faster, and I haven't had split ends or hairfall in six months.
How do you try the Hair Color Virtual Try On?
I attempted about 5 pages that seemed to be this app but none were.
Be very careful with taking Ashwanga (sp?). I took 1/2 a supplement and was down for 3 days. Scary. Also, my research says that marine collagen doesn't work as well as regular collagen.
Oh no! Thanks for sharing your experience. All of these supplements affect us all so differently. xo
Coconut oil will certainly block your drains!
Good to know!
I’ve just gone from blonde to brunette,, and everyone loves it,, and I do too. My hair was just getting too damaged..
So glad you are happy! That's amazing! xo
Love your summer blonde! I do the same, a little blonder in the summer months, or i'll do blonder highlights on my blonde and that looks great!
Thank you, Judy! xo
Don't cut your hair yourself, learn from me !
The temperature you wash your hair with and the food you eat have a big role in how good you look. I never have dry scalp/skin cause I wash with cold water. Plus downing collagen pills/powder is futile if your diet is unhealthy. Vitamin C is so important to get from natural food, not that ascorbic acid artificial stuff. God bless 😘
Went carnivore 3 yrs ago and at 54 have tons of hair now...i eat the collagen...connective tissue ...meat...fatty red meats
Thanks for sharing, Nina! xo
You do such a great work with all your videos , I really appreciate all the dedication, research and time you take to keep us all informed. Thanks a lot! Greetings from the Netherlands.
You are so welcome! xo
Its so sad that people don't want to age or are afraid to age because of the way our society looks at the older generation. Its despicable and so unnecessary. Its one thing if you want to look younger....but it's another if you feel pressured to do so. Your self-worth is not vested in how smooth your skin looks, no matter what society wants you to believe. I am not saying you shouldn't take care of your appearance...I'm saying that taking care of your appearance shouldn't include anti-aging! You shouldn't be looked upon as you're getting older and be seen as less useful of a human being. Actually, you are more resourceful and more valuable! Whether society realizes that or not does not matter.
My channel is focussed on pro-aging! We all age and that's wonderful, but I offer tips for those that want to look and feel their best at any age! xo
Love these pointers! My experience was very similar. I’m turning 53 in October. I tried a combination of:
1- Biotin Supplement
2-Keratin Shampoo
3-Coconut Oil Treatment once a week.
4-Collagen Powder
5-Hair Cut only every third month.
6-Air drying instead of a blowout
Thanks for all your advice and enthusiasm!
You're so welcome! Thank you for sharing, Diane! xo
If you don’t mind sharing... how many mcg’s of Biotin did you take to get results?
Do you put actual coconut oil on your hair?
Pantene Jahoba oil conditioner and Jahoba oils for face makes it grow quickly as well
Thanks for sharing, Meredith! xo
I'm letting the silver come in my blonde hair so now it's a kind of beigey colour I call greige. I can't tell you how many times I've been complimented on it. It might make me look older but stuff it, it is so much easier on the health and condition of my hair, not to mention, my wallet.
Thanks for making realistic videos geared towards women over forty...not frumpy yet age appropriate. Keep them coming. 💛
You are so welcome! xo
I am letting my natural silver hair color grow in and my husband’s crazy about it. He said to me last night, what’s going on, you’re getting younger! Lol. Yay! 🥰
That's amazing! xo
Lovely..💖💖💖thats a good man
I found a vegan collagen product by Ora called Aloe Gorgeous if anyone’s interested.
Thanks for sharing! xo
Be warned, biotin can also cause big yeast infections. I never get them and I had the worst one after taking it for a couple of days.
Great video and comments! Could you do a video for those of us with shorter hair? I need ways to “change it up” sometimes. Thanks!
Thank you, Carol! I did a video when I had shorter hair. I'll link it here for you: ruclips.net/video/lMBpetkZeQA/видео.html
Erin, that was great. I like how you are always coming up with new ideas. I am 54 and put blonde highlights in my hair since I was in my mid 30s. A few years ago I stopped all colour as I wasn't getting the outcome I was after. I am loving it!! My hair is thick, shiny, healthy and I even find the colour and natural highlights very flattering and interesting. The improved lustre was the most surprising benefit of all. Yes, the grey is coming through but I am celebrating my age and ushering in this new stage with enthusiasm. I have my hair cut to my jawline and I find it is an instant facelift andgives the illusion of plumping up my face. I have also been taking collagen supplements. I use high quality hair care products and put in a treatment at least once a week. I also invested in a Dyson hairdryer, which does less heat damage to my hair.
Hi Erin, Love your tips! When you have your mic on a loose blouse, just tuck your blouse into your back of your pants, or tuck your blouse tightly into your belt in the back. That will keep your mic from pulling down the front of your blouse. Female news broadcasters do this all of the time!
Thanks for the suggestion! xo
In my case finding the right shade of hair color is hard enough! and once I find it it's really hard to prevent it from fading and looking brassy which happens about a week after the application.
Framesi hair products 👌
I've been told countless times I look 20 years older than my age, so I'm trying to fix it - a lot of people say my hair ages me too (it's different from my avatar haha). I'm only 26, but I look ancient. Hoping this video will help!
I hope you find this helpful! xo
72 here; wish I looked 46! Lol
So have I 🙄
Great video thanks. Do you have any recommendations for a substitute for collagen powder that is vegan? Thanks
Thank you, Jenelle! This one gets great reviews, but I have not personally tried it. (it is in pill form...not powder): rstyle.me/+Qlmn0tGukAFi3sjYx1K-4g
@@BusbeeStyle thanks so much! I’ll give it a go
