    • @stevekonbass
      @stevekonbass  3 года назад +1

      Well for the video intro I mic'd the amp (mic into the Zoom) and that's mixed in a little with what the video camera mic picked up. For the demo of all the preset sounds that was the amp direct into the Zoom. I gather with some experimenting it might be good to record with. How do you record with the Marshall? Do you mic it or line out of it?

    • @AFloodofSolaceJohnWhigham
      @AFloodofSolaceJohnWhigham 3 года назад

      @@stevekonbass so far just direct line out. Sometimes I don’t like some of the presets because it sounds like it’s trying to feedback at very low volume. So, I think I will eventually try to mic it but never tried it with a SM58. I know that a 57 is what most people use or something similar- not a vocal mic.

    • @stevekonbass
      @stevekonbass  3 года назад +1

      I find myself mainly using my Line 6 pocket pod and presets on the Zoom for recordings. A 57 is the way to go for mic'ing the amp but if you noticed in the video I used a 58, lol. There's lots of last minute "use what ya got" improv when I produce these videos. The video camera was picking up way too much noise from the air blowing through the vents in the room.

    Not really. If I wanted to, my Marshall JCM800 4212 2 x 12 combo and my powerful 800W stage amp and 400W 18” speakers would more than fit the bill. I just want to recreate all my old songs and find the optimum effects, then feed them into my DAW and add thr drums and bass. I will provide the rhythm and lead guitar and lead and backing vocals, the latter of which which my old 80’s-90’s metal band, The Uninvited never had the luxury of I think for some of the solos I shall use a harmoniser plug in to create a harmony solo, which I can tweak as much as I like on my DAW.
