I bought this amp with my own money:).
I put this Fender Mustang LT25 to a real test ...and the results were great IMO!
The most versatile amp under 200 dollars...also a pretty amazing option for beginners too!

💥FROM FEARFUL TO SKILLFUL…
There's nothing worse than feeling totally awkward when starting to play…
But this alternate picking habit of the pros will change that for you...

CON I forgot to mention: LT doesn't support phone/mobile versions of the Fender tone app, you have to use PC or MAC.
Plus, this guitar has a middle-control in the settings menu, but no middle knob. I presented this poorly in the video, sry😅
I'm thinking of buying this amp from Sweetwater but, I have one question. Does the firmware have to be updated if your happy just using the amp without using the usb and connecting to Fendertone app?
@@fiddlefaddle1 hi! Well you have to use the cable if you want to use the fender app. But at least I didn't need to update the frimware. It's not hard tho😎 thanks for commenting 👍☺️
There is a middle control in the settings menu, although there isn't a knob for it, otherwise, a fantastic review!
Thanks for commenting and compliments! :)
And true! There is a middle control!
I probably wasn't clear enough with this, I meant to say that the control panel itself doesn't have a middle knob, my bad.
I'm glad if you like the review! :)
Totally agree about those Fender clean tones. this is such a great starter amp. Great review. Edit: That picture of the Deer on the wall behind you is awesome.
Yep, awesome cleans and the best starter amp for the price in my opinion! Thanks for commenting and compliments!😊👍
And we love that picture too, it was super cheap like $25, but it was a great find!😎
Great review! I have this Fender amp in surf green and in my opinion it is a high quality amp for players of any skill level and for all music genres. Thanks for all the info you provided and your demoing its capabilities!
Thank you for taking the time to say that! I agree. This is extremely versatile and can work well for pretty much anyone!
I have the Fender LT 25 and I had the VOX VTX 20 , I love the Fender LT25 AMP I hate the term beginner amp, it's a practice amp it's simple not overly complicated, and you can record with it, I did love my VOX but it needs serious updating one thing the Fender LTD 25 has a full kettle lead, unlike the VOX with an Adapter, if your Adapter breaks well it will be costly, unlike the Fender a any decent kettle lead will do, the tones on the Fender are brilliant and the ability to create your own tones is great for practice, VOX with the Pre-Amp tube is great for modelling , also VOX uses older USB technology, and it's headphone output is not great, I give the edge to the Fender a better amp for practice you can record great build quality the VOX needs to be updated, with ability to record and updated USB port,
thanks for the insights😊👍 didn't even know that about the vox, I will make a review about mine soon, good that I know that now! Thank you👌
But I surely love my VOX, amazing amp, and this Fender is too!
and I agree that the fender is a better option for most people for sure!😎
I agree with your comment, especially about not liking the term beginner amp. Same for “beginner” guitars. Having played for decades I have found many guitars and amps that had beginner labels that in my opinion were high quality and more than satisfying to play for musicians of any skill level.
Amazing reviews my friend, you have helped a lot
Thank you!👍😊 I'm glad if I can help fellow guitar players😎😊
Thanks for the video review, I'm inching closing to purchasing Mustang LT25 for myself!
I'm glad if the review helped, it's a solid amp for sure😎 thanks for commenting!😊👍
Simply fantastic review. Just discovered your channel and subbed. Thank you for all the fantastic, no nonsense reviews. Great channel. I've had this little amp for several months now and I must say that it is great fun. Peace.
thank you for your support! I really appreciate it😊😊👍👍
and it's great to hear that you like my reviews, I'm still learning the art of making videos, see ya & peace😎
That was a gold standard review! Thanks!
Thanks for saying that and I'm glad if you like the review!😊👍
This kind of comments keep me making these videos😊😎
when u say starter wat amps are for the Pros... inhve used few Tube amps as well still i feel this amp has many options to feel good factor
Hello, which would you recommend purchasing as the first amp for a beginner:
•Fender Mustang LT25
•Boss Katana 50 MkII
•Blackstar ID:Core 20/40 V3
first, I have not tested that Blackstar, I think that it's a good amp tho(I base my opinion on videos I have watched)
the Boss katana sounds the best IMO, it's easy to use too. I would get it if you just want great tones👌
but fender mustang lt25 has a lot better app(fender tone) than the boss. and mustang has more features overall too, and it doesn't sound bad either. plus it has an abundance of done for you presets which is amazing for beginners😎
hopefully these key traits help you to decide, ask away if you have more questions😊
thanks for commenting👍😊
Thanks for your reply.
I plan to play clean sounds and am reluctant to play dirty ones. Which amp does clean sounds better?
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 Which of the aforementioned does clean tones better? Moreover, does the Fender LT25 have any noise gate in the app?
@PRISK Fender gives you nice Fender Cleans, Boss sounds better overall to me. But I strongly recommend that you listen to sound demos and choose which sounds best to you😊👍
@PRISK At least I didn't found noise gate pedals from the app😎
That’s the great review!
Go on! I like your videos
Hello from Ukraine 🇺🇦✌🏻
Hello from Finland!
Thanks for commenting and compliments!😊👍 I'm glad if you find my videos helpful😎 Stay safe😊
What about the socket hum in the fender? Is it quiet or hums a lot? I don't want to use noise gate all the time. Could you compare the socket hum to that of Katana 50 or Catalyst 60? Thank you 😊
Which one should I get for a clean tone for rnb, jazz and neo soul... the fender lt25 , or the gt? or the boss katana or the Roland cube?
Thanks for commenting!😊👍 Roland cube is a great one for sure😎but I would choose either Fender LT or GT, I really like those Fender cleans and cleaner tones overall, plus with the tone app, you can do a lot.
if you need Bluetooth then GT for sure. and gt offers more features overall, but can't say for sure if it offers a lot more tonally for the stuff you want to play😕
but if you don't want to play with fender tone-app at all, then I would go with Roland Cube
boss katana mini is a better option for heavier music in my opinion😊
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 thank you for you reply and your video!🥰
I think I’m going with the fender LT I hope I will not be too restricted !:))
Do you have any issues with buzzing? As soon as i plug the cable in theres some light buzzing even with low volume. Buzzing lowers down as soon as i touch any metal part either the cable or guitar. not sure whats going on, help is appreciated!
Ouch! That sucks. I didn't have that kind of issues.
Have you tried to use different guitar or cable? That could tell us what is causing the buzz. If it's still buzzing with different cable and guitar, then it might be that the amp is one to blame. Check this article too, it might help: guitaristnextdoor.com/why-does-my-guitar-amp-buzz/?sfw=pass1642866005
If you have more questions just ask, thanks for commenting☺️👍
Should I get the Mustang 25LT or the Champion 40?
Thank you for commenting!😊
depends on what you want to play ofc, but...
I have not tested Champion 40, but I think that it has a better bass response because of the larger 12'' speaker, plus more power(probably a bit louder). It seems to offer solid sound quality too, and its quite versatile😎(Champion is easier to use)
But Mustang LT25 is even more versatile, plus you can use Fender Tone App with it, so tone-possibilities are basically endless.👌
both sound solid for the price IMO.
hopefully this helped you😊👍
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 yes, thank you!
@Gabriel Contreras no problem at all! I'm here to help!😊👍
This mustang or to the vox 20x?
I like the Vox more...Mustang is easier to use but Vox sounds better. thanks for commenting!
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 okay good to know. Just bought the vox for 50$ almost new. It is complicated but I feel like I have the world at my finger tips. I also saw the l25 for sale for 50 and was having some regrets .
Sold!,love it
this is easily in my top 2 amps under $200👌
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 mine also
How loud would you say it gets? I plan on getting one for jam sessions, and I need it to be loud enough to hear over drums
hmm, in my home use, it gets louder than I need. But I have not tried this with a drummer,😕 25w should be enough in general and after playing this quite a bit my guess would be yes, but can't say for 100% sure.
ofc, there is Mustang LT50 available, 50W should definitely be enough, if you wanna play it safe, and it's not that much more expensive😎
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 Thanks, I appreciate it
Wath preset do you recomend me for the jimi hendrix clean tones?(litle wing)
hmm, there is no done for you presets on the amp for that tone IMO.... but I would start with fender clean and then add some fuzz effect😊👍
Thank you sooooo much for this video, I have the same guitar and the same amp bug my tone is terrible, even though both are new, so now I definitely know something is wrong with it
oh, that sucks...yeah, some problems with the amp or guitar are possible...
then really bad guitar cable can also affect tones, plus if the intonation of the guitar is bad, it can make the guitar sound thrash too😮
let me know if you managed to fix it👌
thank you for commenting!😊👍
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 I bought a new cable I’m gotten to try it out when I get back, I’m out of country rn, and if that doesn’t work I’ll take it to get checked
@Anime_nerd hopefully the cable change fixes it👌😎
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 yeah hopefully
@Anime_nerd 👍😊
Can I contact the fender with phone by using wires and edit it with tone app using phone?
Thanks for commenting! yes, you can, but you have to have cable for that because this amp doesn't have Bluetooth...
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 thank u for answering im gonna bay one😍
@xWeeDx_ hey man, I tested, but it doesn't work, sorry I confused things from manual, I skimmed through it and mixed GT and LT, hopefully, you didn't buy one yet😅😱sorry man
@xWeeDx_ so basically any of the LT don't work with the phone you have to get a more expensive GT for example, this is a bummer. I just assumed that it works, because it should be possible at least, but clearly, Fender has not included this feature into their amps. sry for forgetting to test this myself and just assuming man😫
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 thank u for testing!!
I still gonna bay one😂❤️
Do you know if Fender changed the amp to not have the additional "hidden" 20 presets? Other videos I've watched have them, but I can't get it to work on mine.
no, I don't. but that seems weird😯
It could be that yours has new firmware, and Fender doesn't give you the hidden presets anymore, but there are at least 100 prests in the tone amp, so maybe we have to go there for now on😎
thanks for commenting😊
They're in the software. It took me a while to find them
@Mr. Majin did you mean those factory presets on the software (100 of them), or did you find something else?
thanks for commenting😊👍
@@majinmatt9775 I tried exactly from videos but no luck. But I got the Fender app on my laptop and was able to simply pick and choose which I wanted.
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 The fender tone software on the left sidem you will see presets and something below it o forgot what it says but you click it and it gives you the presets not on the amp.
I Can record on my pc without audio interfaz?
yes, It's stated here too: shop.fender.com/en-US/guitar-amplifiers/contemporary-digital/mustang-lt25/2311100000.html
but you need some kind of DAW(Digital audio workstation)-software for that. lot's of free ones available, you can use youtube or google to decide, because I'm no expert when it comes to DAW 😅
thanks for commenting!😊👍
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 hah cool bro. And how do you record?
You should wear a mike. Hard to hear you clearly.
