I think all these RUclipsrs are liars. I have a line6 but I keep hearing it sounds bad and the Boss Katana sounds way better. I bought the Katana because of this internet hype. The Katana was noisy even with the noise gate on and although it did sound good out of the box, I could not dial in the sound I wanted. On the other hand, the Spider's presets are not the best but you can dial it in. In particular, line6 models a Plexi amp that is over volted with a variac, no amount of knob adjustments will make any of the Katana model amps sound like that. I return the Katana because I could not dial in the sound I wanted and although the sound you get were good, they were also very generic sounding. The line6 is better because you can dial in any sound you like you just have to know how. The spider is very complex so I think most musicians give up blaming the amp as not good sounding when it's their inability to work the controls to get the sound they want. Watch this guy for example.

The gio may help if my fingers touch the wrong string because of the wider string spacing

I couldn’t tell any difference between the sound of the FG800 and the FG830. The APX609 sounded thin to me, but I like a warmer tone with more bass, which is why I prefer dreadnoughts.

That big ridiculous headstock is one hell of a dealbreaker on this model. I wish Fender would get rid of it on these.

There’s only so much space for air in the cabinet the speaker in not drawing a vacuum, so open or closed cab doesn’t matter,except for less dust accumulation or heat transfer. That’s my opinion.

The ends of jumbo frets, as on the Performer always feel rougher than medium jumbo. They need to be shaped with less angle to keep the 2 outside strings from sliding off the edge of the fingerboard.

It’s a great guitar for the money. $3k for a standard is a little crazy. Just get this, put burstbuckers in and save yourself hundreds. A guitar is only as good as its pickups. Remember that.

Line 6 sounded the best pretty much the entire time. Fender LT sounds very muffled

Thank you for this video, I was looking for my first guitar and after your video I try this both guitars in local stores and I chose the Ibanez! The Yamaha feels a bit more quality but is heavy and the neck is not huge but is big. The Ibanez is so light and comfortable with the thin neck with the lower action and I liked the humbucker neck sound better. Thank you so much!

yo about the wood of the neck, it says here that its a maple fretboard for the black and sunburst variants of this guitar, and the white / poplar blue variants have laurel fretboard.

This guitar reminds me so much of my first guitar Gibson Firebrand the Paul when I was 15 in 1980 the modern light should be a sub $1,000 guitar I honestly believe the tributes were a much better value

Epiphones are nice, but I got my used gibson for the price of an epiphone, love the studio though.
