    I've had mine for about a year. I was lucky enough to find it used for $80. I LOVE IT!! I pretty much got rid of the presets, or tweaked them, and put in my own amps and effects that I found on the software. And, you don't even need the software, it can be done right from the amp panel, but it's cool to look at the software and make adjustments on my PC. Nice tones by the way, thanks for taking time to post this.

      @@anotherheadlessdemoI just bought this amp, and my only complaint so far is the poor quality of sound through headphones, as you mentioned also. I bought a $90 pair of Yamaha studio headphones, and still doesn't have good quality sound. Is there ANY way I can get better sound through headphones with this? Do you have any recommendations for better headphones that might do it? But these Yamahas are really good, so I may be out of luck. 😕

      @@anotherheadlessdemo had same issue with a Macbook air. Think is related to the ASIO driver on osX? I'm using an ASUS Gaming laptop with Win11, no issue. Audacity is brilliant because you record on the backing track and get one file. So you need just to sync 1 video and 1 audio file, instead of 2 separate audio files ( guitar and backing track ).

    This is a great staff for charting and practicing scores. The effects are plausible enough. But there is a small but ... If you want to get authentic sound, you will have to create or purchase a shallow cabinet for a 12 "speaker and with a wide front. It is better to immediately equip it with a microphone on a corrugated metal twisted" goose neck "bracket with a microphone jack. will solve many issues of a subtle color of sound.
    Your guitars have a true signal very close to the reference.
    If you put a full-size 12 "speaker with a good electromagnetic system and a membrane in a universal screen-like cabinet, then you will use this staff for any purpose of modeling and sound embalming.
    As for the tube-like sound, the digital models built into your combo amplifier are of high quality. They have popular colors and will be easily recognized by listeners.
    Whether you need a natural "tube heating pad" is hard to say now, you need to try without it.
    Some of the exact textures of the sound grain are smoothed out by the inertia of the diaphragm of the dynamic head at a low signal load.
    Stereophonic panning is solved in sound consoles and computer programs. They do the job best. There are already laid down the transfer functions in terms of intensity and time delay. If there are signals with constant reflections, then they are placed on the panorama without difficulty.
    I apologize for not answering all your questions and not giving a firm and clear answer. But I hope for your decision if you accept these initial considerations.

    • @anotherheadlessdemo
      @anotherheadlessdemo  3 года назад

      I do think the models sound really good, especially the Princeton. So far, it’s been either headphones or right into the DAW. At some point I’ll take it to a gig without a drummer and see how it does.
      I really appreciate your feedback too! As I said, it does make a perfectly good practice amp with lots of features and options.

  • @johnnyblythe5375
    @johnnyblythe5375 3 года назад +7

    No idea why this is called a beginner.
    I don’t ant to go through thousands of settings to find a tone I want. The pre-sets are pretty impressive in themselves and you have plenty of slots to save your own, even overwrite the presets.
    The tones and volume that this amp can produce are immense.
    This is for home use and I chose this over the Katana II, everything I’ve seen and then playing both, all lead me back to this.
    Some will moan “oh, it’s digital, not analogue” let alone being tube driven.
    But at this power it can compete with tube and mess all over analogue.
    I don’t care it’s digital, if it’s about “the sound” this is best at this level and you can’t beat the price.

    • @anotherheadlessdemo
      @anotherheadlessdemo  3 года назад

    Too bad about your experience. I was close to buying the Mustang LT25 but went with the new Mustang Micro Headphone Amp as the cheaper alternative to check out the Fender emulated sounds before trying an LT (or GTX). Also, the LT doesn't have bluetooth input for play along while the Mustang Micro does. Sound wise the Micro a great little amp. But in Windows 10 the USB audio input latency is so awful I can't use it for recording and there's no proprietary drivers to help. I'd like Fender to create some useful USB drivers and add the Micro's bluetooth input into their LT line and maybe then I'll try an LT.

    • @anotherheadlessdemo

      I thought about that one as well. It would be a good travel “amp.”

    • @AxemanMessiah

      It's even better because the LT is limited to its speaker, the Micro can plug into stereo speakers and even compact ones for travel.

    • @Andrey.Balandin
      @Andrey.Balandin 2 года назад

      Mustang Micro doesn't have the app for tweaking, it's limited in adjustments with is buttons and you have to remember what each light color means, and if you want to record it with monitoring you still need to go through an interface.
      LT25 has the app, and I think it would be great for recording throughout the headphone out into interface in line input mode. I really wish LT had XLR out for recording though. USB recording is hard for manufacturers to get right especially on windows, if you remember that you need full duplex for monitoring and backing track payback with low latency.
      And I wish FENDER made Mustang Floor LT with latest modeling advances and impulse responses.

    • @jimmyjames2022

    • @Andrey.Balandin
      @Andrey.Balandin 2 года назад

      @@jimmyjames2022 Exactly what I thought! The only way to really record with low latency is to use a proper audio interface. Which means between Micro and LT, the latter is better, because it has the app for tweaking. Portability is the only thing that really goes for Micro. But if your play at home, portability is not an issue and having the convenience of the built in speaker and knobs, and the app makes LT a more versatile and convincing option.

    didn't they make the damn thing compatible for your Android phone? At least with Bluetooth. Hell this is 2022... Got to go buy a bunch of other crap just so you can record your guitar... So you mean LEKATO can make a portable amp and plug your phone into it and record and Sounds great! And Fender has been in the business for 20,000 years and they can't even make a damn amp to be able to record to your freaking phone that sounds halfway decent....🐂

      This amp doesn't have Bluetooth so connecting to any smart phone is out. The other Fender GT and GX series have Bluetooth and probably(?) work with either Android or iOS.
