      Yeah exactly...I own the next step up in squier (affinity strat) and I'm very seriously considering buying one of these amps to mess around with at home. I'm not an accomplished pro and don't have the most sophisticated musical palette and this video gave me a very realistic look at what to expect from my little rig if I purchase it and to me it sounds good. I saw other videos that showcased some of the presets more and after seeing everything I'm pretty sure I'm pulling the trigger on this, and soon!...

    No the Mustang LT25 does not sound like a Kemper or Line 6 Helix. It also does not cost anywhere near as much. I wish that I had something like this when I was starting out in the late 60's. I have this amp and use it for silent practicing with the headphones. As expected the 'Fender' style amp presets are a bit better than some of the other's. The Marshall tones sound too exaggerated to me at least when compared to my Marshall tube amp that I use for gigging. The presets are easy to select and very easy to edit. If you download 'Fender Tone' for Windows or Mac you can easily control the amp via the USB connection. You can also use the USB to record to your favorite DAW. Overall it is a great amp for practice.

    People naysaying these amps have no appreciation for just what you get for the money nowadays. I won't ever forget the piece of crap guitar and amp I had for the same amount of money as that Squier and the Mustang. I could only get two tones- utter crap, and utter crap slightly distorted. Just imagine being a kid and having a garage band now- inexpensive guitar/amp, bass/amp, and a buddy with a cheap Alesis electronic drumset- along with the guy that wants to sing with his karaoke cheap PA system. You could sound glorious with this setup in no time.

      If you have a good enough laptop (or PC if you don't have to transport it) you could also go with a software solution like bias amp and bias fx which are obviously way cheaper and sound decent enough. However if you go software you would have to buy an Audiointerface for around 100-150€ and either get good monitors or something else that would be able to produce a good and loud enough sound.

    It is a pity it doesn’t include at least a post EQ XLR out. Which would make it extremely useful, to plug into the desk. It does include a mini usb out, which is handy. It doesn’t have the modelling features of the Studio 40 or Stage 800, which again is a pity, but for a recording musician on a budget where space is limited I suppose it could fit the bill. Think I would in reality go straight for the Stage or Studio versions with the improved options and connectablility. But I certainly wouldn’t refuse one if it happened to fall into my Christmas stocking. I’d find a use fit it.

    For beginners, Mustang LT25 Vs Boss Katana 50 Mk2?

  • @SinatraKennedy

    Rumple LT25 is the best bass amp for the money ever. It’s worth it just to have HAND OF DOOM!

    • @SisterRose
      @SisterRose Год назад

      strongly leaning towards this after trying one, some of the settings were naff but that one was amazing. may be biased as a stoner/doom player who's a big fan of Masters of Reality of course

    Does the bass amp work well alongside a drum kit please? The LT25? Need to know ASAP! I’m worried it might be too quiet. This is just for jamming, but metal jamming (not over the top horrific metal - more like Pantera or Lamb of God style). Thank you!

    For Gods sake Cap, please do all reviews with Pete, they are 100x better. You sound better with Pete as well. For some reason, your playing is looser and more free. Not hating on Rob but the chemistry is better with you and Pete.

    No idea why people are complaining about the intro jam, that guitar sounded awesome, just diferent and more creative, also making messy and full sounds like that work aint really easy so give the man some credit and stop listening to videos trough crappy iPhone speakers lol :p

    Strangely enough, the Fender website delcares them at 12.75 lbs (5.7 kg)! 😁

    I have the Mustang 1, 2.1 and it sounds great for a no fuss practice amp. The fist 30 seconds of the vid was yuk but you have to be in the room to get how good the amps are. Plenty of go for a practice amp on a budget..👍

    • @billnelson9413
      @billnelson9413 5 лет назад

      I have two of them and use one in the studio and live for everything now even though I have a collection of vintage Fender amps from small to large. I use the Twin Reverb setting for clean to edge of breakup sounds and the Bassman for more distortion. I keep the master volume on 5. Next to the real amps it sounds slightly better to my ears and doesn’t need to be extra loud to sound great. The onboard reverb is awesome though I use a 63 reissue reverb unit for more surf sounds. The onboard delay is perfect for Brian Setzer or Johnny Cash slap back and the tremolo is great too though I use a tremolo pedal because it is also my boost and it’s convenient. I had a hard time admitting it to myself but now it’s my all time favorite amp. Even the feel is perfect. Mustang 1 forever!

    Haven't tried the newer "Rumble" amps but I have an older "75" model that is pretty decent. It has a neat enclosure (tilts back). This one seems like a nice starter amp.
