- The Imperium Ultra Star Destroyer is the largest capital ship in Star Wars... or it would be, rather, if it were official. The Imperium is a fan design, and has often been used to poke fun at the scale of Star Wars and the lunacy of Star Wars fan ships.

It's been surreal seeing this become well known over the years. 😂 I remember first coming across it a long time ago in one of the fan forums.
"This ship is too big. If I had walked, the movie would be over!"
I love this fan ship so much. I'll always remember sections of the ship being overtaken by cultists sacrificing tie pilots and a dictator calling himself the bringer of the apocalypse.
The thing that makes this even more hilarious is that the Imperium is only a quarter of the size of the Death Star. But because of the fact that this is a vessel rather than a space station, it's way funnier.
I hope the Imperium Ultra Star Destroyer will never be forgotten. The vessel and it's legacy deserves to be remembered for how bonkers and ridiculous it is.
It does exist in another mod called star wars alliance. There it's way OP with a superlaser and basically capable of taking out entire fleets of capital ships. In fact that mod is one of favorite. Constantly being updated and with the largest roster of factions land units and space units of any mod. Would love for you to do a spotlight of it
Yup I like that mod and how beautiful the redone maps for space and how the ships look as well
Alliance is good, but has major gameplay flaws, in my opinion. Nomada should really go through and fix a lot of it. Just figuring out all the crashes would be acceptable, in my eyes.
@@joec5993 the active skills are an issue. You have small destroyers or battlecruisers who have no issue depleting the shields of an SSD in just an burst absolutely smashing everything.
@@alanpereyra5503 That is one of the issues with it, there's no real balancing. There's a lot of units in Alliance that punch way above their weight class.
Yes, I added it but with many differences, by example, more of 200 turrets with movement.
Someone should put it up against one of the huge ships from the Independence Day films. Either the mother ship from the original ID4 or the planet cracker from the second.

ID4 mothership is nearly 600 kilometers. 2nd one is 4000 kilometers. City Destroyers are 15 miles in diameter. Harvesters win. Especially when you read about their on-board bio-mech tech (which are other lifeforms genetically spliced to serve them)

I remember first seeing this many years ago, in the early/mid 00s. I showed it to some friends of mine and one of them pulled a Sgt. Johnson, calling it "God's own anti-sonovabitch Star Destroyer". It certainly fits.
I've known about the Imperium for about a decade.. I forget weather it was Legacy cannon or just something fanmade but it sure is incredible to see it in a GAME now let alone Empire At War, I remember discovering mods for EAW around 2012 wanting this thing in game so bad, how neat to see it arrive..
In warhammer 40k bullshit like this is canon.

Just a reminder, if your playing the most current Yoden mod, pretty much everything is nerfed.
I remember in some of the older versions it was scaled correctly and took up the whole map and had like 1000 hard points.
The Imperium also does appear in the FOC Alliance mod as well and it does have a super laser in that.
Secret Space Program. Reminded me of the Eldridge from Xenogears. It was only around 100 kilometers long though.
The same goes for the ARKS Ship in Phantasy Star Online 2, but there are dozens or even hundreds of them in the Oracle Fleet.
Each only had around one million people though.

Yes and no while bigger ships do function like a submarine, aircraft carrier hybrids and smaller ships like fighter jets some like bullets and some just work.

It was dissolved after the Battle of Endor. The Empire of the Hand revived it and eventually was copied by the Fel Empire. This continued until the Fel Empire was usurped by Darth Krayt and it served him until he was killed.
@@elderliddle2733 The 501st served Roan Fel after he was deposed by Darth Krayt, he went to Bastion and the entire battalion, save for the lieutenant leading them, knelt before him after an inspiring speech in 137 ABY. This was around the formation of the Empire-in-Exile.
It's also in the Forces of Corruption Alliance mod, in that mod it does have a Super Laser
