Man I always heard how Prosh for being a Jund commander is so easy to combo with and now I understand with what Voxy did. She could have just ended it there with Jarad
She definitely tried!
And that's without even going food chain, Prosh is legit
She had it, she didn't need to eat that damage at the end from Murph. Could have just killed them before combat damage happens. She just chose to throw because she didn't want to win so decisively for the show's sake. Not that I agree with that, but that's how they roll sometimes.
@@faperito2389 not really Ashley had a board she needed the blockers for her turn and when playing against Naya token every blocker counts.
@@Kangstor I agree with you, but she should've used her position to make a deal to threaten the instant speed reaction so he wouldn't swing at her.

I’m actually so glad to see rin and seri being played here. I was so disappointed when they weren’t able to play that commander when the set came out.
Its really fun to watch Voxy on Extra Turns and Game Knights
I'm always excited to see Rin and Seri as a Commander. Exploding red Kobolds into Red Dragons is the most D&D thing ever.
Ashlen's dog tokens are awesome. Very hard to find cheap nowadays!

This is what commander is all about. Just when you think all is lost like when Voxy was popping off with Prosh and Unearth, Ashlen found a way to survive and come back for the win. Fantastic everybody.
That's what the demonic pixie of magic does
given how ashlen is still their friend and lives in that area, I'm hoping that she guests on extra turns in the future :)

13:35 Josh should attack with Ragavan. There's no downside, and if he plays it right he might get an extra treasure (and possibly a playable card) from it. Worst case they block and he can respond by sac'ing it to Ruthless Knave.
Hell yeah! I built an Ashnod deck as soon as I saw the preview, I was disappointed when Josh got wrecked by the Professor when he tried playing the Ashnod deck last time, lol.
Toggo's rocks trigger twice with ashnod too, makes decent removal with death touch
As a fellow Prossh player, watching Voxy go off was awesome. Definitely gonna give that Descent of the Dragons combo a shot
Yup pretty cool didn't know about that card I love prossh decks so much fun. I play red enhancement that does damge to player equal to the amount cards they have in HANDS Every time creature dies. Game ender lol

Fun interactions in the later part of the game, and happy to see Rin & Seri on the table (I was watching this episode with my cat).
I find a bit sad though that in modern Commander it is becoming the norm that 1-2 players at the table have not the chance to do pretty much anything relevant as 1-2 other decks have already gone off around T5.
Rin and Seri is one of my favorite commanders! Really glad that Ashlen showed off what the deck can do

Probably to try to get more work outside of mtg, she's been doing some modeling and she's also a voice actor
They announced it on a recent podcast episode that she's moving on to try other things. It doesn't seem like there was any ill will on either side and it looks like she was happy to have been able to work there. I'm sure they'll still have her as a guest in future videos every now and then.

My very first commander was Prossh. He will always hold a special place in my heart. Jund aristocrats feels like home to me :)
Ultimate climax for me was when Ashlyn played cryptolith rite and Voxy topped that with earthcraft. Earthcraft is easily one of my favorite magic cards. I'm glad I bought a playset 20years ago, that card is really expensive now.

Interesting to see Josh actually use a coin instead of a die (even=heads, odd=tails or similar). I expect that could get confusing now some cards require the use of actual dice!
This series should be the main Game Knights series. It's so much better than the advertisement for every new set that is the current Game Knights series.
It's harder for new/casual players to keep track of what the cards do. The sidebar is really small so you can't read the text.
This episode really tares me to decide who to root for
2 teams with dragons, but 1 team with cats and dogs.
I think though I should back a dragon team, I think I’ll back Ashlen’s cats and Dogs!

That was a pretty fun watch. Excellent players and production as always. The power levels of what was going on definitely felt a little lopsided. Obviously 100 card singleton variance plays a part and Josh and Jake did have some impact on the game but it looked like they were playing good midrange/engine decks against a powerful combo deck and a very highly tuned and fast tribal deck. It didn't hurt the episode and I wouldn't call that a criticism. Power levels are not an exact science and obviously mismatches can happen.
I will never doubt ren and seri again. Might even build them lol

Ahh, didn't know Ashlen left Command Zone. Always loved her work (voices, set design, etc.) and always loved her play style, she inspired many Eldrazi decks including my own. Best of luck to her new endeavors!

Ashlen....... the Demonic Pixie STRIKES AGAIN. I've seen her do this too many times. Grab victory from what looks like the jaws of defeat. It looked like it was absolutely over....... then the demonic pixie dives in her bag of trickster tricks for the win. I LOVE IT. By far my favorite player and deck builder on command zone
I have been racking my brain because there had to be a win on board for voxy. I think this works:
Sac jarad to prosh, prosh becomes a 6 power creature.
Use jarad ability (after floating the mana) to put him back in hand. Play him again with 4 of the now 12 floating mana.
sac the 10 kobolds to make prosh a 16 power creature.
Sac prosh to jarad draining for 16 gg
On the final turn she could've sacrificed all the kobolds to Prossh, giving Prossh +4/+0 (making it (9/5), then sac Prossh to Jarad (she had a swamp and 2 forests open) and deal 9 to Ashlen before combat wouldve even happened
Someday they will remember that green sun's zenith shuffles itself back into library...

would love to precon only command zone, no upgrades, then same decks, upgraded with your budget recommendations. The quality of the vids is so good
What’s extra turns? Vs game night? Is extra turns just more faster paced for people who know more?
Extra Turns is more focused on the game play, with less cutting away for interviews mid-game and without the animations that Game Knights has.

I like the cat and dog thing, but I prefer the changeling route, and go heavy with token synergies since you get 1 of each token per changeling.

Josh makes a mistake here with the Descent of the Dragons. As the nonactive player, NEVER ask if anyone has responses. However, there is something that may have been illegal, depending on who answered the question.
If it was Voxy who answered "No," then her Earthcraft shenanigans before the Descent resolves is illegal. This is because as the active player, she is at the ultimate disadvantage in regards to this. She has to do this preemptively, or not at all. In the end, it didn't matter, as Ashlen somehow won, but something to consider.

I think Josh forgot that his treasure gives him 2 mana when his commander is out.
Ashnod does not care about mana abilities, and treasures have mana abilities.

Magic the gathering looks fun and have many variations. I sort of want to play the PC version if there is one to try it out. I'm a Vanguard player but this one look more strategic in their respective genre, from resources to units kind of stuff it looked satisfying and fun
