    MG wing (the angel one I wasn’t into the show it just looked cool!) was my first kit. Dunno if it was the right thing to do but was one of my favourite mobile suits at the time
    Followed VERY quickly by a bootleg MG Epyon where the heat whip thing was orange as well as the normal colour

    I'm going with the 1/144 RG Wing Gundam EW because it looks amazing and Gundam Wing was the first series I intended to watch... that is until I saw the 1/144 HGUC Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Platoon RX-79 Ez-8 which just appealled to me and the series is only 11 episodes and, from what I can gather, won't spoil anything from the other series if I watch it first so I'm ordering both together from Amazon Japan in the new year and saving over £10 in individual shipping costs! Oh and having already built a Moderoid Shinkalion E3 Tsubasa I know what to expect from the build but I'm just about to build the 800 Tsubame version, which is going to be a nightmare with all the tiny stickers I have to place but both these will look great stood next to the Gundam kits... eventually!

    I'm gunna be honest, for my first gunpla kit I jumped straight into the deep end and made the 'PG 1/60 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam' with the LED unit. But before that I did make four '1/72 Liger Zero' kits (each of the armor conversions).
    The reason I jumped right into a perfect grade kit was, well besides the Unicorn being an awesome looking kit, I don't overly like small kits. I like large, complex and mechanical looking kits, which is why I'm also looking at the 'PG Perfect Strike Gundam' and a 'PG Astray Red Frame'.
    Also any recommendations along the line of (complex and mechanical, and preferably PG) would be very much appreciated.

    Great list but I have a problem with the number 9(it has a few problems with his legs and skirts parts(the HG origins Zaku 2 would be a better alternative) and number 3 is know that their articulations are prone to break or get loose. Personally I wouldn't recommend it(unless Bandai fix it properly) also the number 1 is a great choice BUT the EG RX-78 suffers a similar problem as number 3 (his leg articulation is prone to break or get loose) the others EG are fine.
    Keep up the good work 👍👍👍

    my first gunpla was not a gundam but a Valyrie from macross a kit so old that was like the first grade kits in monochromatic plastic you have to paint but in that years you had to glue the kits too
    I abandoned the robot model kits for a long time to become a wargame miniatures and WW2 planes builder (with a love for Luftwaffe)
    I returned to robot model kits with MazingerZ infinity from bandai and my first gunpla was the rx-78-2 origin (not the most easy for beginners kit but having decades of modelling behind for me it was quite simple)

    • @Payinku
      @Payinku  3 года назад

      the Barbatos would definitely be more of a challenge than the eg, just keep in mind you're going to want a few basic tools for it as well, something to cut the parts off the runners(either proper nippers, wire cutters, a nail clipper if you're desperate) as well as a blade to clean off the nubs(either a hobby knife or utility knife, something with a sharp, straight edge), you can worry about anything more advanced than that after you know if the hobby's your thing.

      @@Payinku yeah cheers man. My main problem is the shipping. Initially the price isn't too bad when you see €13-20. But then you also have to account for the €8 shipping which ramps up the pricing quite a bit. It's probably because i have to buy them amazon France thanks to Brexit and the ONE shop in my country that sells kits has overpriced shipping and figures. It's weird that the MG ones are decently priced, granted it's will double what the Japanese pay but it's still pretty decent for what you're getting. I found a few more kits around €20 each so I'll have to see what the shipping is like if i buy in bulk

    • @Payinku
      @Payinku  3 года назад +1

      Well I'm not sponsored by anyone yet so, not in particular, sorry.
      It depends entirely on where a person lives, I use Canadian gundam given that I'm Canadian, though they do have flatrate shipping to the US which is nice, USA gundam store is a good place to get kits in the US, and there's also hobby link japan which ships pretty much anywhere but you have to deal with the international shipping costs.
      And theres other area specific online stores I'm sure exist, I just advise against Amazon since there's almost always a sizable upcharge on kits.
      Hopefully that helps, and I do apologize for not having more direct links for buying them.
