I'm a huge UC fan but IBO has really turned out to be my favorite non UC universe! I wasn't sold on their designs until I saw the show and fell in love! Barbatos Lupus is amazing!!
IBO is what got me back into gundam. I only liked gundam when I was young and was like oh yeah giant robots are sick how did I forget. Sorry I know its been a year.
I was raised on 00, but my first gunpla is a HGIBO, currently building, loving the Bael and the inner gundam frame, might get an Exia HG or Char's Zaku II HGUC cause it if pretty cheap and ... Char.
I just started getting into kits. My girlfriend got me a wing zero master grade and I love it. I wanna do some surface details but I'll go with that as my favorite

MG: Jesta, Hyaku Shiki 2.0
RG: At the moment I only have the Banshee Norn but that's a good kit.
PG: Hahahaha.....I wish
Finally finished my HG narrative after 3 months of on/off building (Most of which was the booster kit ToT)
But it's definitely a centerpiece of my collection now that it's done and more than worth the price.
I would highly recommend it for people who want to build something bigger than a standard model without breaking the bank.
My favorite kit right now is Mg Rx-79-NT-1 “Alex” 2.0 love how solid it feels and how it looks with all the amor on 🔥

The Jesta line is one of the best kits. They are solid, whether in HG or MG. Great video Gunpla Meli!

So far my favorite kit has been my Ver. Ka RX-O Full Armor MG Unicorn!!! It's kept me building for the last two months, despite being incredibly overwhelming for a new builder, and it was a birthday and Christmas gift from my brother (who got me into building gunpla). My first kit was the RG Unicorn and ever since then I've been hooked on building each and every version of the Unicorn I can find; mainly because that's the only Gundam anime I've watched so far 🤭 I too am trying to get more into building HG kits, seeing as you can get 3 or 4 kits for the price of one normal MG kit!

Not to mention your time... ill run through a mg full paint,fit,and finish in about 4 or 5 days of work....im on week two of pg 7 sword 00 and only about 1/2 way done painting (just getting and learning to use an airbrush is slowing me down too)
Anthony Perez damn it f**k true! Back in 2015 to 2016 I only spend on MG never get Prefect Grade it so expensive for one each other so that why I stop buy gundam but I still love Gundam forever but I can’t spend money on expensive.

Having not watched too much Gundam and just getting into Gundam this past year. My favorite MS are the RX-72-2, the Wing Gundam, and the Barbatos Lupus Rex AND last but probably #2 favorite after the BLR, the Gusion rebake full city from iron blood orphans because of his awesome scissor weapon!

Sinanju for life, and the stickers were nice!
I've built I think 20 MGs but by far the kit I enjoyed the most was the MG Sinanju ver. Ka. Never bothered with the gold stickers, the kit is easily worth painting. I actually enjoyed the build so much I bought the Stein just so I could assemble it again.

Never say sorry for your opinion. You like these models and that's it. I happen to love the Sazabi. The HG was the first kit I ever built. Fully plan on getting the Ver Ka version one day.

My favorite kit was the Shining Gundam kit I shared with my cousins like 15 yrs ago. I loved the show when I was a kid and that little spark stayed dormant until about 2019 when I actually started getting into model kits with real effort as a hobby.
Great video as always! I'm thinking about getting more into HG's for the same reason you did so this was super helpful!
And my favorite kit is pretty basic and old but I just love the suit, which is the MG ez-8

My favourite starter kits are the no grade 1/100,
Seed - buster, duel, astray red
00 - exia & astraea
They are quick builds with nice gimicks. Good pose ability. Easy to paint, and not that expensive. If you can still find them.

I built some HG Wing kits back in 2002-2004 then I got back into it on December, so right now my favorites are:
HG 1/100 Wing Zero from way back in the day
MG 00 Qan[T]
MG Wing Proto Zero
HGCE Destiny Gundam
-It's bit over $20, but it came out much better than RG, especially in terms of the proportions and accessories (EFFECTS WING). The color separation were good (uses very few stickers) and the range of the mobility and strength of the joints are excellent; you can see what I mean once you put it on the stand with the Arondite Beam Sword and effects wing on it.
RG Unicorn
-As you build it, you can REALLY fell how much work and efforts the development team put into this model; Zeta Gundam was one thing, but this transformation mechanism is really cool! I really had a great time building this model since the kit is one of the most enjoyable feeling when working on it. Just be careful with the shoulder joint though. They made it really tight and you could break it (carefully break them in)

Gundam MK-II 2.0
- I have only built few MG, but this one did a really great job articulating the "bulky" design of the MK-II. And even though it came out over decade ago, the overall quality is pretty good. And beside, I really love the Argama stand on A.E.U.G. version; it is pretty satisfying to put it on it and just watching it.
the PG RX 178 Mk2 is a great kit also.
It holds together well and mine has been standing in the same position for well over a year now with no droop.
I'm still new to gunpla but favorite kit has to be the mg freedom,absolutely love it

I know I am late, but I really like HG kits because they are smaller. I work in a call centre and its something quiet I can do in between calls. Hg is easy to have in my work area with few enough parts that its not overly hard and I can feel like I'm making progress.
So far my favorite build is the Dynames. what a solid build, and it looks great in many poses
Favorite RG is the tallgeese. Favorite HG is the leo. I may have a gundam wing bias.
Favorites:
HG - Zaku Amazing (love those pistols and cleavers)
MG - Age Sparrow (have Exia on deck)
RG - way fiddly, only built the 00-Riser
PG - none built
I am pleased that you actually recommended 2 Gundam seed kits lol. I loved building the PG sky grasper, the RG by Gundam was fun, I LOVED the MG Deathscythe hell ew ver.
My favorite kits are in the SD line.
SD Shining is my favorite out of those, but I've never built one I didn't like.
My son's favorite is RX-78-2 out of the SD line so far but he recently ordered and excitedly awaiting HG: 00 Sky.
Also excitedly awaiting the HiRM God Gundam. (I know, off topic sort of).

MG RX 78-2 v3.0 and origin, and MG Barbatos is a must build, it really hook me into the MG line.

I just got the MG Musha Mk 2 which I am super excited to build. I only have Barbatos and RX-72-8 in HG as well as Gipsy Avenger since they never made Danger. But I think the Musha Mk 2 is gonna be my favorite. I love the design
my 1st ever kit to built is the MG jesta & that spec ops look is so cool. but my favorite kit would be the HG G-Bouncer.
My favorite kit is definitely the Kshatriya and the Nu gundam. I also love RX-78, the classic.

Haven't own any kit yet. But am looking forward on getting a FM 1/100 gundam bael. Got caught up with the story of Agnika Kaeru. Thats the reason why I like the gundam.
i'm vry much a newbie so having picture up with the gundams that are mentioned (aside from only the ones recommended) wouldve helped a lot but having the names also gives me some startingg points so ty!!
