My first kit was a Chinese ripoff gundam I can't remember the name, since I was young building that kit as bad, then getting older, I decided to go back into model kit, decided to buy ultraman Tiga figure rise and RG Zaku 2 char custom. The tiga model kit was great, the build experience is good, the design looks sick, but the moment I move on to the zaku, I was traumatised by the complexity and the fragile plastic, since I have big sausage finger just handling those small bits was a nightmare. From that moment on I only buy HG since I love the easy build experience and now only collecting WFM kits, poly capless kit or just a kit who I really love the design.
Despite being one of the earliest rg, rg wing zero is quite a solid build. It's not quite detailed as newer rg or the latest ver ka but it gets the job done. Really recommended for those looking for old rg to add to their collection
Totally agree. It’s been a few years since I built mine and the joints are still solid and the wings work pretty nicely. The only downside is that it tends to turn yellow as time passes, but I’m sure good care will prevent it.

Likely due to the minimal weight of the parts and lack of anything too finicky to begin with. The flexible piping is also an awesome added detail that works perfectly with the design. Great video! Would love to see a top 5 best/worst for MGs one day, maybe next year after a lot of new ones come out to see what older stuff still ranks.
I like the RG nu, but I definitely like the Sazabi more. I had some strange fitment issues with the Nu that kind of threw off my love of the kit, though that was probably just me, since I was still very new at building kits when it came out (and honestly still am). As for kits not mentioned in here, I really, REALLY like the Tallgeese. So much so I have 3 versions of the RG kit (TV ver. OG, II, and III).
I agree just as much, both versions of the Gundam Mk II are superbly sturdy. They pose and hold their joints extremely well without faltering under their equipment weight, which are small and not an issue
For me, the Sazabi edges out the Nu Gundam _ever_ so slightly. Nu has it beat in articulation, but Sazabi is just naturally *HUGE,* and more unique-looking. Bit more stable too since its fin funnels are on racks instead of looking like cell phone bars. However, both are _easily_ my two favorite gunpla ever. Of any grade.
Built the Char Zaku II and the RX-78-2 RG and the skirts and shoulder/leg pegs are floppy and fall off. Built the RX-93 and this was a wonderful and firm build. Have the RG Sazabi and hope for the best. As someone mentioned, RG 2.0 of the Grandaddy and Zaku II's would be wonderful
consider the fact that it's the rifle holding hand, so it's highly likely he just didn't add the back hand part in the first place. since he must've swapped out the default hands for the rifle one just for that picture
I watched your Zaku High Mobility Type review, so I prepared with the glue to help with the loose bits. I'll shove some stuff into the joints when they become loose.
i did a top 5 least Favorite list in a face book group and my number 1 worst kit is the zeta as well it looks nice if you can even look at it without something falling off or breaking

I've only ever built 4 RGs. That being the Unicorn, Wing Zero, RX 78 2, and Nu Gundam, and I must say never really had a bad experience with any of them. Even the RX 78 2 I actually had a good time building it and it makes a great shelf piece. Though I'll be honest I pose that one much less than the other 3 because of all the infamy of them getting loose over time. RG Unicorn and Nu are my 2 favorite Kits period. 2 of my favorite Gundam designs and they just hold up so well. The unicorn being absolutley impressive with it's transformation yet still having good articulation. My Next RG will be the MK II, as next to Nu and Unicorn it is also one of my top 3 favorite designs. And from everything I've heard about it I'm excited to get it built. LEAST Favorite: 00 Raiser, it was a PAIN to build, you blow on it and it falls into pieces, extremely hard to pose and attach the Raiser binders. I just threw it on the box because I got tired of it. MOST Favorite: Sazabi! It's such a thicc boy almost a MG, has TONS of weapons, the Beams look awesome, super bright green. Great buid!

Ok real talk, I have zero of the problems with my RG Sinanju that he seems to have. The only complaint is that torso waist connection has loosened up a little. That’s all.
handy tip for the RG Sazabi Shoulders, cut a piece of one of the runners that fits inside the hollow peg for the shoulder joint and cement/expoy it in there. I broke the peg off one and had to do some serious metal pin epoxy work to fix it but then used the runner plug fix for the other one. should help prevent shearing the peg off when twisting the joint around.
Its because of you I'm building the Rg nu this weekend. Iv only built a few rg and like them for the most part like crossbones was great but perfect style was a like less to be desired. Nu has always been a fav for nostalgic reasons. But I was contemplating rg vs mg. And because of you Iv chosen rg

honestly didn't mind the RG zeta but then again i never touch my kits once they're built and painted. Probably gonna pick up a second for a char color scheme, possibly even a third because I love the proportions and color separation.
The RG Nu Gundam was the first kit I built this year to get back in the hobby and is indeed one of the best in my collection. I love it to bits! So far it’s just that and the Sazabi that I’ve built, but have a Zeong on the way!
The RG Nu was a Christmas gift from my wife last 2019. And this kit brought me back to gunpla addiction... Got this Dec 2019 and built it around June of 2020 coz of the pandemic. Now I 've been collecting gunpla since I stopped back in 2015. (I was a sporadic collector back then)
My first kit was a MG, but RG has become my favorite line by a mile. RG God Gundam, Sazabi, Evangelion, and now a Hi Nu on the way. I haven't bought any of the old ones because there seem to be so many consistent issues. But the new ones are SO good.
Really.? This list is based on his taste in mecha model. Tallgeese is fantastic. But if he doesnt think its fit his top 5, he will not mention it. This is 100% his opinon only Why do you get so offened over some random guy's opinion?
The RG Gundam MKII was my first Gunpla about 5 years ago from now, and really warped my perception of real grades. It was and still is one of the best kits I have and holds up nicely, my only issues with it now are the buttflap armor coming off, which its so big its very easy to glue, and the head being loose, which you could just tighten the ball joint with top coat. But yes it was so good that I thought all RGs were that good, and thus my next kit was the RG Zeta, and honestly it did not go bad, the RG Zeta for me lasted two years of being fun and great, and so I kept buying gunpla, primarily HG, occasionally MG, and always whenever I could, RG. Over the years, however, all of the RGs I hunted fell from grace and became very annoying to touch, even the RG Unicorn became too fiddly. But the MK II stands to be my best RG still, and its worth mentioning I don't have any post gunpla evolution kits besides the unicorn which did not age well for me, but my friend owns the Nu and I can easily say thats the most articulated gundam model ever, but I personally am not a fan of the RG Nu Gundam's aesthetic choices, and on top of that its legs do loosen over time like the RG unicorn. I actually am going to get the quanta as its my favorite gundam design, the finale to my favorite gundam story, and I know it will be pretty good because my old 00 inner frame was actually really good if not for the 0 Raiser straining the thing to all hell. So yeah if you are looking for a RG and actually read this, I recommend the MKII AEUG as it holds up the best out of any super complex models I own, including my MGs and of course RGs, and I specify AEUG because these pieces are TINY, and dark blue plastic is infamously brittle for whatever reason, and I cannot speak for the Titan variant specifically as I do not own it, but it does feature entirely dark blue armor made up of the exact same tiny parts.
My brother got me the RG Nu and Sazabi this Christmas, and it's such a great experience to build. I've only ever built HGs before this. Definitely going to pick up the Mark II at some point, as that's my favorite Gundam suit(just ahead of the Nu and Ground Gundam). The subdued color scheme rocks, and I think it has the best backpack of any MS lol.
First, a real grade zeta may be floppy in the waist but it doesn't break like that, you did it on purpose for views like you ridiculously mutilated the Victory. second, please put the damn kit together properly before showing it, you clearly didn't followed the transformation steps the way you should and it looks more floppy than actually is. third, you pick purposely on transformable kits, just admit you hate them, also haven't you considered that people from communities like tranformers may starting to get into gunpla thought those kits and they just got discouraged because of your videos? If you don't like a design or a mobile suit don't buy and review the kit!
To be honest as someone who was a Transformers fan, if the RG Zeta was my first experience with the hobby I probably wouldn't have even bothered looking into a second kit. I love the transformation process with the Zeta but the RG is a hand grenade in the truest sense of the word. Mecha is hamfisted with his gunpla and treats them like toys, and he's admitted as much. But one doesn't have to exaggerate to make the Zeta look like a floppy mess of a kit. If a transformers fan wants to get into gunpla I'd far more readily suggest the MG 2.0 or the ReZel because those kits are actually solid and do the transformation justice, unlike the RG, which looks great, but the internals are terrible. They're also far easier builds, even if anything Zeta-based isn't well-suited to beginners outside of partsforming high grades.
@@TheVanillaQueen the MG rezel is brown tier in his ranking and i would't doubt him rank the zeta 2.0 the same. Him is just too picky to what him likes most. Gunpla have a large variety of flavors for everyone tastes, isn't fair him rank gundarium tier what him loves and give bronze to below for everything else. I would recommend you channels like Cytrus, Prime92 or HenryMcclean, they are much more objective in their reviews.
@@robowarrior369 I'm aware of what he thinks of the ReZel, I'm not under the impression he likes the thing. But I'm also not gonna act like everything he ranks low is a lot better than he makes out to be. Every kit he's ranked as gundarium (except the Penelope but that may be personal bias) has absolutely been a groundbreaking kit so I'm not sure where that's coming from. And it absolutely is fair. These reviews are opinions, even if he is trying to be as objective as possible. People are human, humans have opinions.

On the RG MK2
>no parts fall off
>right hand guards is missing
well he couldve plucked them, no footage of it falling off *taps head *
consider the fact that it's the rifle holding hand, so it's highly likely he just didn't add the back hand part in the first place. since he must've swapped out the default hands for the rifle one just for that picture

I watched your Zaku High Mobility Type review, so I prepared with the glue to help with the loose bits. I'll shove some stuff into the joints when they become loose.

9:40 When r u going to review the HG GP-02-A? The one with the nuke.
I assume it would be just like Rase 2 Ten but less accessories
@@ry0usama511 The GP Rase Two is directly based on the GP02, but the GP02 is no slouch.
It comes with the following
Beam Sabers
Shield
Bazooka
Action base
2 adapters that are specific for recreating the battle with the HG GP01Fb
Absolutely love the mobile suit and feel like I'll love the kit
Thank you!
I love the Nu Gundam so much I accidentally memorized everything Mecha said on that review
The RG Zeta is super solid with amazing details and articulation.

I like the looks of the MG Nu Gundam more than the RG.

Favourite:
Crossbone
Astray Red Frame
Strike Freedom
Nu Gundam
Sazabi
No Fav:
Zeta Gundam
Freedom Gundam
Char's Zaku II
RX-78-2
Gundam Mk II (Titans)
Its because of you I'm building the Rg nu this weekend. Iv only built a few rg and like them for the most part like crossbones was great but perfect style was a like less to be desired. Nu has always been a fav for nostalgic reasons. But I was contemplating rg vs mg. And because of you Iv chosen rg
I can’t make my decision between Nu, Hi-Nu, and Force Impulse

Hi Nu
@@MechaGaikotsu Kinda surprised the GOAT itself replied to me, thank you so much!!! Will try to grab it next month!!
The RX-178 MKII was my first RG and it is so good. I totally fell in love with simpler designs because of how awesome that one was.
Is it true that in that kit the joints do not get loose?
@@gaelvazquez3181 They aren't having to support a lot of weight, so it seems like they stay tight. I don't change poses a bunch, but pulled out my...2+ year old kit and it seemed pretty solid.
@@hoshiadam I see, thanks
honestly didn't mind the RG zeta but then again i never touch my kits once they're built and painted.

So glad to learn that the one I was so excited to buy yesterday is actually the top of the bottom 5 list
in my defense, it looked really cool
The only kit I've ever broke a part on was the rg zaku2
Me too
The RG Nu was a Christmas gift from my wife last 2019. And this kit brought me back to gunpla addiction... Got this Dec 2019 and built it around June of 2020 coz of the pandemic. Now I 've been collecting gunpla since I stopped back in 2015. (I was a sporadic collector back then)
Thats a solid Christmas gift right there!
11:56 When r u gonna review the HG Sinanju????
My first kit was a MG, but RG has become my favorite line by a mile. RG God Gundam, Sazabi, Evangelion, and now a Hi Nu on the way. I haven't bought any of the old ones because there seem to be so many consistent issues. But the new ones are SO good.
For the older RGs, I’d stick to designs that don’t have a ton of oversized equipment or transformations.
No Tallgeese? Here I was thinking this was a respectable Gunpla Channel! I have never been so hurt in the last 24hrs.
Really.?
This list is based on his taste in mecha model. Tallgeese is fantastic.
But if he doesnt think its fit his top 5, he will not mention it. This is 100% his opinon only
Why do you get so offened over some random guy's opinion?
Let me guess what your favourite Rg...
It must be RG Zeta right?
How did you know!?
@@MechaGaikotsu lucky guess? Yeah it must be lucky guess

Top 5 Worst RG Kits
1)- Sinanju
2)- Zeta Gundam
3)- Destiny Gundam
4)- Zaku 2
5)- Strike Freedom
He's absolutely right about RG Zeta, and the kit has definitely earned the rep it's had for the past several years.
(Edit) Hell the ReZel isn't even what I'd consider to be much better than average for a MG. It's a fun kit and I love it to bits. But I'd be lying if I said it was the pinnacle of structural integrity in MS mode
