I mean, unless you consider PBandai it's extremely rare to get a MG... And even when you consider PBandai, it's not things I would actually *want* to have (bandai PLEASE give us a Exia 2.0)
When the MG Barbatos was first released, there was a poll to see what the next IBO master grade would be. My favorite, Ryosei-Go, won, but there's been no word on it since 2018 :(
@quatreraberbawinner2628 Not at all, Epyon doesn't use any polycap like material. It's undergated so much making nub cleanup easier. First RG I've built and well worth it.
@MechaGaikotsu I think they haven't done a pg yet just due to its size, all the pg they have done have pretty much been the same height, the unicorn being the only one that was tall, but the unicorn also has some bulk, something that nu doesn't have, at least that's my take. I may be the odd one out, but I would prefer pgs of grunt units like the zgok (not joking), gelgoog, kampher, Leo, and give some of the alternative universes some more love besides seed, especially turn A
I agree that MGEX strike freedom is the greatest gundam kit of all time. The RG line is great, the only downside is the sticker decals , they should swap it for waterslide decals.
I still wonder why Bandai includes stickers instead of waterslides. I can't imagine they are any cheaper, and the kind of builder who buys the more premium kits like RG and MG probably all prefer waterslides. I always buy 3rd party ones for my MGs.
I wish for some above-HG kits for Witch from Mercury Gundams. The lone 1/100 Full Mechanics Aerial just isn't enough, I would preorder a RG soooo fast.
@@lancebardock The Eva Unit 01 PG is the first PG that Bandai ever did. I can't say it's really even close to decent compared to MENG's offerings though.
Currently building the RG Nu Rx-93, and I have to say it is absolutely incredible. Look amazing, poses amazing, the build was a delight, bomb ass design. Highly recommend any Gunpla fan who haven't gotten it to give it a go.
Im building the same kit atm, thing is when i started i wasnt sure about how highly everyone was rating it but once i started finishing parts and putting them together i noticed just how insanely nice it all comes together, its beautiful.
The RG 00 Raiser was my first ever gunpla and i’ve been hooked ever since. I’d love to see more 00 kits in the RG line. Maybe there’s hope for an Exia 2.0. But a Bandai needs to realease a Zeta Gundam 2.0 first.
I had been put off by the "hand grenade" aspect others have spoken of earlier RG, but I started with the well-reviewed RG Tallgeese and never looked back. I have two RG Nus and Sazabis (Fin Funnel Effect Set and Gundam Base Limited Clear) and these have been absolute masterpieces of engineering.
If you want a feel of an old RG that will not explode in your hands, you can always pick the mk2 in either color. Just Keep in mind the nubs in the titans version are horrendous. Mine has a lot of knub marks but is still a beauty of a model kit.
There is no such thing as a "hand grenade" when it comes to kits It's just people not building their kits correctly, handling them poorly and not dedicating enough effort in them. Basically, when someone complaints about that bs made up term (erg) it's literally a skill issue
@@stuartchang5498the MK.II and the Qan T have been the only early RGs that don’t just explode whenever I try to pose them. Though Qan T’s swords can fall off his shield if I shake it to much
@@MaidenlessScrub That. But saying it's a skill issue is a bit much. If you did play with it (likely) it'll fall under the disguising traits of something "drooping" of falling over time. Was there a 5th pose (counts as playing with it) you were trying to do? Really it's a model kit, we "CAN" fix it. There's lot of options and plenty ways to fix this "hand grenade" or "ERG". I think it's unicorn BUT there are other factors why people are led to believe they fixed a good amount of RG issues because of sazabi and I see why. I'm still on team unicorn because johnny ridden was the next kit after unicorn but the frame was yes. Next year was banshee norn, tallgeese, sazabi, and FA unicorn in respective order. Right now FA unicorn just has a bit of shoulder problems so that's why Sazabi was next in line.
Is there something about that design that has created so many faulty kits? I don't have any, but I keep hearing that both the RG and the earlier MG kits has serious problems.
@@fattiger6957 yes the RG sinanju has flaws parts fall off and the joints are very loose and can't pose it properly with out any part falling or Bing to heavy as for the MG I have it but haven't built it yet but there's a metal frame for it to in enhance it better.
@@fattiger6957The issue with the rg sinanju, is that it uses that premade ms frame. And simply added extension parts to make it look taller and bulkier. The frame simply wont hold the parts well and everything just starts crumbling down after building. Hence why it's considered the worst RG in the line. It's so bad that gunpla store owners, are trying to sucker people into buying them. Just to get rid of the stock.
i don´t know if it´s to fair for the size and the price but a comparison with the PG unleashed maybe can be interesting, I was thinking this might be a miniature version of him.
When I started into gunpla - Gundam Build Fighters is to blame for that! - I really enjoyed building HG kits. Then I decided to try an RG kit. Was a bit intimidated because of the upgrade in pieces and details involved. The RG Unicorn just blew me away and I have been hooked on RG's since. Such a great deal of satisfaction and sense of accomplishment when you finish one.
For those who want to know why MG line is dying is due to it has not a good return of investment for bandai. Sure they are still selling well in japan, but compared to RG or HG, they sell worse. Not to mention due to their size, it has bad shelf presence in store if it doesn't sell (it take space, it is considered to have long shelf presence), etc. Not to mention housing problem also a factor in japan where 1/100 kit take too much space for japan small residence. Not to mention japan economy ia also not in a greta spot.
@@complexityinc.5167 still can’t solve the shelf presence problem. We need to see it from asian POV, especially japanese since they are the main customer.
Yeah, asian speaking here, when I made my first mg, I realized why ppl like it so much. But then I put it on my shelf, yikes. Westerners have (on average) bigger houses than us so it’s not a problem but for us it really is.
@@yesthisismyusername2435Right? If I want to amass a collection of my favourite units, I'd much rather have multiple HG/RG vs multiple MGs. If I can somehow find the space for it in my house, maybe just one or two bigger kits. But then it becomes a question of, "if it's so big, I need it to actually look good" and that's an entire rabbit hole. Personally, I ended up with a ton of HG and RGs, with a singular PG as a centrepiece. But good lord that PG might shift to the living room because it is insanely big.
Based on the Japanese reviews I've seen, it's night and day difference between them. Bandai really went all out on the 2.0's inner frame. It actually has color separation! And the joints look completely original.
Big fan of yours and always rely on your reviews to help me decide on builds. I absolutely love RGs. Im a really big snap together and display type and I love the amount of detail they give out of box with some panel lining. Im really hoping we get more 2.0s because a lot of the ERS kits deserve it.
RG kits are the just light weight and right size to pose. Unlike bigger kits when heavier plastic parts tend to sag holding weapons etc. Unless they engineer complex moving joints design to make parts sturdy and stable.
My first gunpla ever was that rg Epyon about two weeks ago, and it was an experience like I've never had before, collecting and assembling first military models, and later Warhammer miniatures for the better part of 10 years And I'm so excited for this Friday, when hg Lfrith arrives It's gonna be a great evening Also thank you for the review of the Epyon, if not for that, I might have not gotten into the mecha side of the hobby
Is it better than the RG god Gundam and do you think RG can get better than The RG 2.0? And what other rg 2.0 kits do you want? I perssoannally want a RG Zaku II
It does not have the level of articulation of the RG God, almost no other kit does. The level of exterior detail is the same, but the RG 2.0 has a much more detailed inner frame.
The zaku II is likely coming next year in Char's colour at least. As RG 2.0 go I think the GPO1 needs one and finally getting an updated version of it and the GPO2 would be awesome. I would love an RG MKII 2.0 not because the og is bad but because we need a new MK II
They refined the already great RG Nu with RG Hinu, they definitely can make something better eventually that can surpasses RG 2.0.... I'm hoping for Sinanju 2.0 and Stein sometimes in the future...
I'm more of a high-grade guy but if there is like a handful of real grades that I want to get the one I definitely want to have is the real grade Tallgesse EW version. But the one thing that's been terrifying me the most about real grade is the fact that I've heard that real grades have a whole lot of tiny little parts and while I do have a whole bunch of high grades under my belt, I'm scared of screwing something up or missing a couple of pieces just because I'm building a real grade. But since I was able to build the high-grade moon Gundam I think I can attempt to try to get the real grade Tallgesse a shot especially since I NEED an antagonist suit in my collection.
There was a RUclips short that I saw which shows that the beam effect is compatible with the new beam rifle. But the “damaged” parts of granddy itself seem not conpatible as they were meant for the 1.0
@@eikixia there is a 3rd party company who makes the vernier effect parts of the Zeong but not the beam effect of the RX-78-2’s last shooting pose. Otherwise you’re out of luck
For the 2.0, four major things. First, is it able to carry the bazooka while on a stand (Which is an annoyance with the original) Second, are the skirts and thruster bells not going to shed as easily Third, is the core fighter able to hold it's pose and not seem to sag under its own weight Fourth, can the core fighter actually transform and work as the core block, it doesn't work so well with the original
This was really helpful, thanks! I've followed gunpla models off and on for ages but my familiarity extends only to MG and PG kits and I didn't have much understanding of the more recent lines (HG, RG, etc.) Now that I see what the RGs have going for them I'll probably dig into that line.
Question for the review: Looking at the instructions for the kit. The arm and leg connection joints are nothing I’ve seen before. And I want to know if they’re structurally sound or feel like they could loosen up over time
As someone who wants to make photography projects using Gundams, the 1/100 size is perfect for me as it's easier to be shot using a DSLR camera and do close-ups. The 1/144 scale isn't that good for close shots. Also, the size is just perfect for someone who appreciates clarity and details. RG and fun to collect yes but 1/100 and MG are just so good ❤
Honestly its Japan Recession right now, its making mgs more harder to reproduce and is the reason why Real Grades are getting more advanced since you can have good quality while having the smaller internal frame at lower costs. It's awesome, but its also a bad indicator of how bad the global economy is. Thats why Chinese third party is kicking ass right now. building the sky defender and I have to say, it feels like committing ntr on the PGU. Its so damn good.
I'm watching this while building up a trio or RG HiNu (With HMBL and effects), Nu HWS and Nu-FF. I've got Gramps 2.0 on preorder and RG Zeong on the backlog. This is a line I've enjoyed since I found it.
Pro tip to anyone who wants to start with RG kits. Get one of those joint strengthening pens or a Mr Cement. It's a godsend if you end up getting loose joints. My first kit was an RG Astray Red Frame and the number 1 problem I had with it is that the joints was slightly looser than I want it to be. Asked a friend and it was normal due to it having so many parts. Moved on to HG kits only because I don't want to be bothered with the higher chance of dealing with a loose joint from an RG kit.
I don't care for posable ability or the intricate building, I just care for the size of the kit. Hopefully more third party kit going to release 1/72 scale with HG simplistic build quality.
My favorite kit I’ve built so far is the Strike Freedom MGEX, absolute perfection. Love building real grades though and I actually like that they are smaller in size, while still retaining details
How does it compare to the OG Real Grade ? And to other grades ? Also, how does it feel to build a kit that's using a completely new molding system, allowing for different geometry in the parts ?
The RG grandpa 2.0 is basically the pg unleashed. But shrunk down to 1/144 size. Like the pg unleashed, you'll be building the full frame first. Then add the armor. It looks bulkier than the original. But it blows it out of the water. All the parts stay fit and strong. Nothing pops out while posing, like the original. And it can pose up a storm, like the rg god gundam. It's really a must get.
@@kydigadig I recently watched a few Japanese reviews of the Rg 2.0 and I really love the fact that Bandai put so much effort into the inner frame. Color separation on the inner frame really makes it pop. I always paint inner frames on my MGs, but I don't think this one needs it.
I discovered Gundam kits in 2013 when I stumbled across Gundam Base in Seoul. After reading the descriptions of the different grades, I chose RG #13, the GP01fb Full Burnern. I've been building model kits since the mid 70s, but the Gundam build blew me away. I have never posed my RGs enough for ERGS to be a problem, but I was even more excited when the Sazabi came out. I would like to see IBO and WFM kits in RG, but I'm also excited to see what Bandai will remake next. I could really go for a Zaku 2.0 or a GP01fb 2.0.
I was an avid MG collector before and had inky built a few RGs out of curiousity. However, ever since the RG Unicorn came out, I am looking out for new RG releases. As said in the video, the fact that it is a mini-MG and I can have more shelf space for them than MGs, it was a no-brainer for me. I would also point out that when it comes to painting and top coating, my supplies last longer due to the size. It is indeed a balance of price, details, and size.
I honestly prefer the size of MG kits, RG is nice, HG is budget and fun, but MG is like my high end. Hoping for more as time goes on or atleast some kind of grade at 1/100 to take over the line.
@@ying3966 Bandai doesn't seem that interested in the FM line. If it really was the the replacement for the (non VerKa) MG line, then they would push it more. But nothing has been released or even announced since the Aerial. They haven't even released the Aerial Rebuild or the Calibarn as FM kits.
I just want to see you compare it to the RG Hi Nu. This has to be one of the best looking RG Kit ive seen since that one, so it would be cool to see the tech in each compared.
Thank you for the “2017 & later” disclaimer. I will keep that in mind. My first RG was the Mark II (amazing) and my second was the RX-78 hand grenade which sort of put me off RG’s. That Hi-Nu is calling my name, though.
I was doing the Gundam Freedom Strike, I had some struggle with the gold air brush. Turns the product I bought from Green Stuff World. Didn't work and made the part's sticky and broke the waist but managed to glue them together and broke the right leg I think. So I'm buy again and this time do it better. So I have practice on making gold. Please use a wearable magnifying glass, and be slow and gentle, don't force it otherwise it will break. Watch were you cut?
That's the main reason I'm getting the 2.0. I want a Zeong, but the MG is probably too big for any of my shelves, and I do like the added detail on the RG. Plus, I watched a few Japanese reviews of the 2.0 and it really got me interested in all the new engineering and gimmicks that went into it.
I started with RG as a small desk decoration. So the 1:144 scale was a conscience choice. But MGSD also becoming a huge favorite. It's like a 1:144 scale body with chibi proportion with a 1:100 head. Maybe it's nostalgia, but for me the favorite RG is still the Mark II. It withstood the test of time and was my first kit that got me hooked to gunpla. For me, the looks of Mark II Gundam was the definitive Gundam look.
Those chinese kits are going crazy. In era+ has taken my vote. Although I still really enjoyed the build of the moonnight judge because it was my first (and because mecha gaikotsu introduced the first design from the judge), In era+ goes crazy with designs (also crazy they feel like gundam? one of the feets look "exactly" like eclipse gundam)
Yeah, the RG burning gundam standing on one hand is probably the most amazing thing I've seen in gunpla. I got over my trauma from the super early RG Justice, and bought the RG burning right after finishing the other vid that showcased its poses hahahahaa
I prefer 1/144, mixes we with HGs on dioramas and a lot of other things come in the same scale (Like an AT-AT kit I picked up and a bunch of other military kit)
Thank you Mecha for the amazing video about Real Grades. Funny how I was just going on a mission to collect every single RG kit (ok maybe not every but most of the ones that are good and look cool (NO ZETAS, NO GP0'S, NO STRIKE OR FREEDOM VARIANTS) and I have about 15 RG kits now since I started collecting gunpla in 2021. And now Mecha made this video about RG kits my favorite gunpla line (formerly MG's R.I.P) so I am satisfied, can't wait for the Grandaddy 2.0 Review. P.S I would love to see a super size comparison between all RX-78-2 Gunpla Kits and perhaps your opinion on which Grandaddy you think is the best looking, best possible and best bang for your buck kit. Because I have a hunch this 2.0 is gonna take that spot :D
You can't deny that the RG line is killing it though. Not a single bad kit since Unicorn. Sure they have flaws here and there, but overall they are all amazing
Bro, this is the second comment I've seen from you in this video trying to throw shit at Mecha, have you thought on not watching his stuff if you don't like him?
Really want to see if there’s some back pack compatibility with like any or Hi Nu ngl. Would also be cool to see how the RG gramps 2.0 compares to those two
10:16 that's not an argument. you're just repeating your claim and expecting that to serve the role of being a reason to support your claim when it's entirely subjective
How many kits have you built? Gai has at minimum over 500, i personally have over 300 in HG/RG and his claims are fact, I'm not gonna rewatch your time mark btw.
It's been wonderful to see how good RG kits have gotten over the years, they're absolutely phenomenal and I always feel like I'm getting my money's worth. But I wish Bandai would make some master grades every once in a while too man 😭
"RG is the best", I'm literally gagging at these close up shots of the RG Epyon with silvering decals that are overhanging, stress marks, swirl marks. I'm here for MGs all day. Long live the king.
I build RG nearly exclusively! I have yet to try master grade and perfect grade, as I started during the pandemic (mostly watching your videos, Mecha!), but I have to say my favourite of all gunpla kits so far has been the RG Hi-Nu Gundam with second going to the RG RX-93FF Nu Gundam and probably 3rd being a tie between the RG God Gundam, the RG msn-04ff Sazabi and the regular RG Sazabi
If you are going to try a master grade, I'd recommend the mg jegan as it's good looking, easy to pose and starts you off well. Pg you should start with the strike rouge or exia. The rouge is better than the regular strike as you get the pg skygrasper and the stand with it. Only thing I recommend is not to listen to the community and definitely try older mg and pg kits, they did many unique things that modern bandai would never try or give for free, but you will need a Japanese jis screwdriver set.
Review Question: Is it compatible with the RG Zeong - Gundam Last Shooting effects? Or... Can you compare this next to the Perfect Grade Unlesshed Gundam? The 2.0 looks like a massively minisculed version of the Perfect Grade.
My first ever kit was the RG Unicorn that was a crazy first pick up but man I fell in love with gunpla after and it’s insane how that kit still holds up to this day
My first ever model kit was the RG Crossbone back when pandemic lockdown was kicking in and I needed a new hobby. So yeah, this line of kits will always be special to me.
Real Grades is how I started Gunpla. The first was the EW Wing Gundam and that turned out okay, but I'm much more experienced now. My next big project is the RG Unicorn Gundam Phenex. It should be easier since I cannot panel line the gold plating without damaging it. But my next MG project will be the MG OO Qant Full Saber, but only once I can find a metal inner frame to replace the plastic frame.
My first RG was the very first one, and though I had some issues with some parts falling, it became my fav 144 scale. So I decided recently to start my RG collection. This video just assured me this was the best idea I've ever had
My favorite Gunpla kit so far is the RG Zeong, I feel like it's internal design really tells a story about it's in-universe development, with how 2 engines are attached like legs. It makes me want an RG Hyaku Shiki- apparently, in-story, it was originally intended to be a transforming mech, and I'd like to see that reflected in the internals of a kit.
RG has always been my favorite line. Two of my first 5 kits I built were the RG Strike Freedom and RG 00. And while the SF has some fragility issues, the 00 is still great and one of my favorites from the line, even if it is older. The main thing that imo makes the line great is that you don’t need to do much if any additional work to make them look amazing. They can always look better after custom work, but oob imo there is no better line.
I just finished my first gunpla ever. Got the MG Zeta Ver ka at hobby lobby on a 40% sale while shopping with my lady. Very detailed kit and lots of fun putting it together. Got the MG rx 78-2 ver 3 that I'm going to start this weekend. After that I'm getting a bunch of RG's because they look so detailed.
Can you compare the articulation of this kit to other RX 78 2 kits and other kits that you own that you consider extremely poseable. Also could you also cover how the joints feel, if anything is too tight or too loose out of box
Back when I first started building Gunpla I would have said MG, but I totally agree with you, RG has been steadily improving for years now, but I do have a grade that I hope gets more kits and maybe also gets some inovation love, the MGSD, the two kits they have released have been so fun to build and look incredible.
Adam Savage built the Perfect Grade Extreme about a year back and was really impressed by how much was crammed into that kit. I would love to see him build the new RX-78-2 RG to see the other end of the size spectrum.
One advangtage of RG’s for me since I paint is that it takes shorter time to completely paint work on them, even with lots of parts. They have smaller pieces so covering with paint is faster. And I do love the details of them so I still buy RG’s a lot.
I still like MG. I’m still relatively new to the hobby and I just LOVE the classic MG feel. I mainly build ones from 06-2017 because they’re simple yet complex build just blows me away every time. I still do dabble in RG, but it’s never been my go-to. And yes, I have built all of the good RGs in recent months and I should say that I was definitely blown away. It’s definitely not master grade charm level, but they were definitely something else!
MG was my favorite until the RG God Gundam and Epyon came out. Those completely changed how I thought of RG. I still prefer the size of MG because I love that huge shelf presence, but everything RG that has been coming out as of late has completely blown me away and has easily become my new favorite.
As a RG Collector i am happy they are getting better and better, i know they are not perfect kit scene the early grade. I noticed that RG is Improving scenes RG Nu and RG Sazabi got release and its really good kits cause bandia hire a new CAD designer that's why the kit RG is solid not like the other early grades. The only thing that i have noticed is the price increased and more RG Pbandai kits thats the down side. 😂
Although I appreciate the RG line for its detail and the amount of engineering Bandai puts in it and I do intend to get the 2.0, MG is my favourite line. I just like larger scale kits. I've only built one RG kit (GP01) so my reference point isn't large, but I find that a lot of the detail gets lost because they are so small. From a few feet away, they don't look that much different from HGs. To fully appreciate the intricate detail, I need to be holding it in my hands. Plus, more detail equal more and smaller parts. Super tiny parts can get frustrating for people with clumsy fingers like me.
I’m really curious just how sturdy that core fighter really is. It also pulls a lot from the PG unleashed so I’m also curious how similar those two are design wise and maybe even build wise
My first and second with RG is the Freedom Gundam and the Wing zero EW which looks great but disintegrated immediately after so I’ve been avoiding RG for like the longest time then RG impulse gundam come out and thank to this channel convinced me to try it again and I love RG now more than before
I feel much the same about RG. Back when it started I really hated the MS joint and just the general builds weren’t that fun, and I much preferred MG. MG used to be my favorite line. But now that MG is dead and modern RGs are so good, RG is by far my favorite. Every new RG that I get is absolutely incredible and so much fun. Really looking forward to getting the RX-78-2 2.0.
Is the core fighter of the first RG RX-78 compatible with the new one? Also is this one compatible with the stuff that came with the RG Zeong Last Shooting set?
MG is my favourite for how well they look on a shelf from far away. Not too big to take up the full thing and not too small to be hard to make out what it is. HG and RG just are too small for making them out when looking at them on a shelf but RG is great for when you wanna get close to them and see them. PG just are amazing for making even people not into gundam have their jaws drop a bit at how cool they are and turns the most heads easily for that reason.
Favorite Kit is RG Sazabi. I have the Side F and the clear color of original design ( don't have it any more) . I love the details, articulation and the spread of accessories of it.
When RG was first introduced I thought it was such an amazing idea that is basically an HG with MG quality, the Strike was my very first RG and remembered really enjoying it. Over time the line was hit or miss but I personally I think the line finally hit it's stride with the release of the RG Unicorn Gundam and ever since then this line has been killing it, it was a journey but they finally reached their high point.
My only question for the 2.0 is since the core fighter has been a highlight of improved mobility, will it affect not putting it in, does it even have a coreblock alternative to begin with...?
Is the new rg rx 78 2 2.0 rock solid? Like are there any finicky parts that pop off just from small adjustments? Or is it rock solid like the last few rgs?
I made a couple of HG kits before, but the real gunpla experience was making the RG Unicorn. That thing was crazy. Since then, (almost) only RG for me. (Tallgese, Nu Gundam, Sazabi and HG Strike Freedom)
just bought the 2.0 as well, it's great. There are other larger versions obviously for people who want it. Oh and I'll add a little more. RG vs HG for 78-2 is a no brainer on price. It's just so much better. Also the RG's so far that I've picked up(besides the obvious PG 78-2) haven't been that much more expensive than their HG counterparts and matching or slightly lower than MG. MG is of course bigger and has a large catalogue you can go through so they are still worth it.
Request for the RX78-2 2.0 review, please do a backpack fashion show as it seems that the backpack is compatible with the HG 2 point universal conection. Amazing video as always on the RG kits, I have collected almost all of them besides some zakus and the last gold akatsuki from gundam seed aa it seems that it will come with parts of the old strike RG which does not make me happy.
RG is definitely my favorite type of gunpla. Even though RG didn't hit its stride until the Unicorn, I have a soft spot for RG Destiny. It was my first RG kit and reignited my love of the hobby after 20 years.
already seen the 2.0 grandpa japanese reviews, so it seems great. design wise its right up my alley so can't wait to buy a couple and paint up. depending on any new rls, should be gunpla of the yr for you.
I would like you to compair the oragin's RX-78-2 1.0 and 2.0's inner frames. Also i would like a call back to the video where you compaired the RX-78-2's at 1/144 scale.

It really hurts me when almost everyone agrees that MG is dead hmm its the only grade that i collect...
Same. Fuck bandai.
I mean, unless you consider PBandai it's extremely rare to get a MG... And even when you consider PBandai, it's not things I would actually *want* to have (bandai PLEASE give us a Exia 2.0)

Where I live there's still a lot of mg I'm only new to the hobby so I'm trying to get as much back log mg as possible 😂
MG seems like either Ver. Ka now or P-Bandai kits.
If we get more MGSD kits or MGEX kits then I'm ok with MG line dying.
HG and RG are ideal for me because of limited display space, Epyon was the first RG I built and it was a lengthy but very fun process.
Then try the RG Hi Nu. That kit is an experience.
Does the epyon suffer from early RG syndrome? I'm a bit gun shy after the RX 78 V.1
@quatreraberbawinner2628 Not at all, Epyon doesn't use any polycap like material. It's undergated so much making nub cleanup easier.
First RG I've built and well worth it.
Moment of silence for Master Grade and Perfect Grade, they will be missed.
LOL when was the last PG even released? Also MG is pretty much done
At least theres a lot of good third party MG size kits coming out or already out.
Shame too, because both are my favorite lines :/
Im still vexxed that Bandai made a LIMITED 1/60 nu gundam figure and still no PG Nu Gundam kit!

The RG 00 Raiser was my first ever gunpla and i’ve been hooked ever since. I’d love to see more 00 kits in the RG line. Maybe there’s hope for an Exia 2.0. But a Bandai needs to realease a Zeta Gundam 2.0 first.

MG gang here? 1/144 kits are too small and doesn't have a "presence", but if bandai releases them in 1/100 scale, it will be a true gift for us.

There is no such thing as a "hand grenade" when it comes to kits
It's just people not building their kits correctly, handling them poorly and not dedicating enough effort in them.
Basically, when someone complaints about that bs made up term (erg) it's literally a skill issue
@@truthseeker9833 You haven't bought enough kits then lol, some of the designs are just poor. No need to try and defend them

I really hope they make a 2.0 of the RG sinanju
Yes Sinanju deserves a 2.0 treatment having a gold plate parts in the sleeve and new inner frame makes it better
Zeta and Sinanju desperately need 2.0
Follow up by the SEED kits because they’re second worst compared to the 2 above imo
i don´t know if it´s to fair for the size and the price but a comparison with the PG unleashed maybe can be interesting,
I was thinking this might be a miniature version of him.
Your videos are so relaxing! I love seeing people talk about gunpla and their opinions in different builds. It's been amazing that I found you
For those who want to know why MG line is dying is due to it has not a good return of investment for bandai.
Maybe if MG had some suit variety it would be better
@@complexityinc.5167 still can’t solve the shelf presence problem. We need to see it from asian POV, especially japanese since they are the main customer.
Isn't plastic waste also an issue? But really that effects the entire gunpla manufacturing industry (also going green is a massive scam)
What a refreshing content! Totally agree with all the statements. Can't wait for your review of RG 2.0
Need to see an inner frame side by side comparison between the 1.0 and 2.0
Based on the Japanese reviews I've seen, it's night and day difference between them. Bandai really went all out on the 2.0's inner frame. It actually has color separation! And the joints look completely original.
You can look up Japanese reviews on YT and blogs for that and I believe even Bandai officially showed the differences too.
My first gunpla ever was that rg Epyon about two weeks ago, and it was an experience like I've never had before, collecting and assembling first military models, and later Warhammer miniatures for the better part of 10 years
And I'm so excited for this Friday, when hg Lfrith arrives
It's gonna be a great evening
Also thank you for the review of the Epyon, if not for that, I might have not gotten into the mecha side of the hobby
Is it better than the RG god Gundam and do you think RG can get better than The RG 2.0? And what other rg 2.0 kits do you want? I perssoannally want a RG Zaku II
RG Zeta 2.0 Defiantly and RG Sinanju 2.0
It does not have the level of articulation of the RG God, almost no other kit does. The level of exterior detail is the same, but the RG 2.0 has a much more detailed inner frame.
rg 2.0? zeta and sinanju

For the 2.0, four major things.
First, is it able to carry the bazooka while on a stand (Which is an annoyance with the original)
Second, are the skirts and thruster bells not going to shed as easily
Third, is the core fighter able to hold it's pose and not seem to sag under its own weight
Fourth, can the core fighter actually transform and work as the core block, it doesn't work so well with the original
From what I've seen yes to all the questions
yes to all
This was really helpful, thanks! I've followed gunpla models off and on for ages but my familiarity extends only to MG and PG kits and I didn't have much understanding of the more recent lines (HG, RG, etc.) Now that I see what the RGs have going for them I'll probably dig into that line.
Question for the review:
Looking at the instructions for the kit.
Old RG vs NEW RG with detail and popping and so on
Pro tip to anyone who wants to start with RG kits.
The og real grade had a pre-made inner frame, and you would add the parts to it as your build it
@@kydigadig I pre ordered it on HLJ, but it's already on backorder... if you don't have a bot, good luck getting anything on there

Can you compare the rg 2.0 to the entry grade? Itd be cool to see the differences
Maybe a RMG grade or something
Agreed. I just can't get as excited about 1/144 kits in the way I do about larger scales.
It did. Other than Ver.ka, Full mechanics are 1/100 sizing.
Legit my hands are too thick for most 1/144 builds to be comfortable. 1/100 is funner to build imo.

So I have practice on making gold. Please use a wearable magnifying glass, and be slow and gentle, don't force it otherwise it will break. Watch were you cut?
Make a cool pose of the Grandad 2.0 and RG Zeong

Hey Mecha, do you think this 2.0 Frame will be used in the next series of Real Grades the same way they did at the 1.0?
how does it compare to the original RG grampa gundam and other previous real grades??
should i consider grabbing one if i can?
I have all 41 RG kits. It is my favourite line. I love the detail and the decals. It has made me put water decals on every kitt I build now.
RG has always been my favorite grade. The detail, the tiny parts, the articulation and gimmicks/tech. All amazing.
Another 2.0 question, does it have any bad po-off? The 1.0 had a lot of small parts that would pop off randomly, in my experience.
just bought the 2.0 as well, it's great.
My first RG was the Unicorn, and I absolutely love it to this day, and it's the first one from another gundam series i got, cuz mainly i do IBO kits
The RG Zeong is one of my favorite kits that I’ve built
does it actually have the universal HG standard backpack adaptor or is it just similarly shaped but differently dimensioned like the beyond global?
RG is definitely my favorite type of gunpla. Even though RG didn't hit its stride until the Unicorn, I have a soft spot for RG Destiny. It was my first RG kit and reignited my love of the hobby after 20 years.
Destiny was my first RG, and it remains as the bane of my existence lol
I am curious. The RG Zeong last shooting set has broken parts for rg gramps, are those parts compatible with RG gramps 2 as well?😮😮😮
already seen the 2.0 grandpa japanese reviews, so it seems great. design wise its right up my alley so can't wait to buy a couple and paint up. depending on any new rls, should be gunpla of the yr for you.
I would like you to compair the oragin's RX-78-2 1.0 and 2.0's inner frames. Also i would like a call back to the video where you compaired the RX-78-2's at 1/144 scale.
