I knew the MG ZZ ver. Ka would be number 1. I own it myself and when I did the transformation it was so smooth like cutting butter with a hot knife. It was so nice to have a transforming kit that didn't require other parts, or one that came apart at the slightest touch.
Aw, I actually think the big MG ReZEL is one of the best flight modes out there. The transformation might be a little finicky, but it can actually say that its flight mode does something more with the legs than just have them trail behind the rest of the kit like they were an afterthought. ReZEL Type C is one of the only transforming kits I can look at in flight mode and not immediately think "that's just a person lying on his face."
What do you actually think of the MG Aegis' transformation though, aside from the weird Squid Monster form? It was my only transformable kit, so I had nothing to compare to, but considering the terrible things I had heard about transformable models, Aegis was surprisingly not that complicated to pose in both MA and MS mode, and both modes were quite solid.
The RG Zeta Gundam is an engineering marvel for Bandai at the time. They were able to engineer a complex transformation without any parts-forming on a *1/144 scale* gunpla. But that itself is what killed it. It undermined the structural integrity of the gunpla making it really shitty. Maybe if the RG Zeta was 1/60 scale, and also use a better plastic, it might've been able to hold itself together

Not only was it a sick looking robot, but it could also transform into a twin headed dragon. Last I checked, that easily beats a jet. Sadly lost it and other kits during a garage sale prior to moving a couple years ago.
Thanks for the video XD Aegis gundam was one of the first gunplas I ever bought and built, I laughed harder than I should have when you called it a squid at the start and end.

To be honest I like to make some weird looking Gundams that end up supposed jet mode, and my phrase that I use when making them is, “If it looks like a jet, it’s done,” and the phrase that I have used only once is, “If you can manage to get it to look like a chonky, but fast car, it’s done.”
To this day, I still prefer the TV ver of the Wing Gundam more than the Katoki ver. 11:17 - And I guess you could pretty much also say that Zeta will not exist without Macross (Because as I was told, Zeta was made to compete with Macross).
Yes, thank you. I've always had mixed feelings about the gundam sandwich style transformations, they're so damn silly. As cool as the Hi-Rez Wing Zero looks in MS mode, and looks fine in Bird mode...from the top at least, the bottom just looks like the Wing Zero being carried by a giant bird on its back. Even when trying as hard as I can to hide it, it just bothers me a lot so I rarely transform it. Other iterations of this "new" Wing Zero Custom like the upcoming Snow White Prelude are kinda solving that problem though with a nice looking top and bottom transformed mode. I'd have to say my favorite, as cliche as it is, is still Zeta Gundam. Specifically 2.0, as I could kinda see the RG one you showed here being bad coming kind of a mile away (I have a belief that if they can't get Zeta's transformation down without resorting to changing parts, its probably not gonna be good.). My 2.0 has really stood the test of time, and I'm even thinking of buying another one to better detail. Hazel II is really damn sexy though, but maybe that's because its transformed mode looks like the ship from Einhander. lol The Haze'n...whatever does look obnoxious but I'd probably just keep it in flight/mobile armor mode, since I think the ships look way cooler than the MS mode anyways. Man I really need to get around to getting an Ex-S one day, it's so damn cool and thicc. It's not Gunpla, a model, or even Gundam related, but I have to give a shoutout to the Mecha Damashii's take on the Gunbuster. Namely for just making it possible to even make a toy out of its transformation. It honest to god looked impossible to me when I first saw the anime.
Arios and Kyrios have an uninteresting transformation, literally they just rotate their legs and raise their shoulders. Saviour is basically a upside down Delta gundam
my best: HCM Pro Zeta gundam. Well...strictly speaking it is not exactly a gunpla, but I am quite impressed by how they managed to fit all those details and transformation into a 1:200 figure
i built the RG zeta, and mines solid as a rock. no issues. transformation is complex and youve gotta take your time and pay attention, but i think its a lot of fun. and once its transformed the flight form is so rewarding. i love it

My best would have to be the original Wing0 even if if it is a Gundam with a shield on its back. My worst would also have to be the Zeta. What a pain! Everything that can go wrong with the RG does. Looking forward to your next vid!
really? I'm in the exact opposite camp. It is by far one of the worst kits I own. Maybe it was just my version, but everything was loose, it couldn't pose because of the knee joints for the transformation literally making him jelly legs.
Being the dude that grew up watching the Seed series, I'm happy that Aegis somehow made an appearance. Hell, almost all the MAs in Seed are fine as well. Didnt really like Gundam Savior tho
I agreed wtih you on the Hi-Res Wing Zero Custom. I owned one and i rather have it in MS mode. Keeping it in Neo bird mode is as hard as keep my money in wallet for Bandai. XD
partsformations are literally just a derivative of the ship of theseus. How many parts can be exchanged before it stops being considered a transformation and starts being considered a whole new model?
The idea that the Titans had a secret fleet of Gundams named after rabbits from a 20th century childrens novel is one of the more wonderfully bizarre aspects of Gundam.
Literally all of your problems with the RG Zeta, MG Delta Plus, and MG Victory can be solved by not handling your kits like a caveman. These are model kits. They will break if you handle them like action figures. Also praising the wing EW while saying the tv version is bad... it's... literally the same transformation.
Judau pilots the core fighter (the smallest 1) that forms the body of the ZZ gundam. The front cockpit of the fortress is detached from ZZ, being the double beam riffle.
I just got it but I love the thing, the HG Anksha. Transforms into a troop transport UFO. Personally I'm also a big fan of the Brave from Gundam 00 but I think it needs a reprint with its joint parts using that nice soft buttery plastic that some newer MG kits are using
What's your opinion on the SVMS-010 Union Flag kit? It's an HG transforming grunt suit that it's a complete transformation, no partsformation anywhere. Just rotate the hips and torso, push the head down, flip the legs back, extent the vertical stabilizers off the feet, pull out on and rearrange the arms (they fall off a lot doing this though), take off the defense rod (totally optional, I think it looks badass with it on in flight mode, implying that pilot is capable of pulling off the Graham Aker Special), line up the thrusters, pop the wings open, and stick the linear rifle into the now open hole on the chest. It's my personal favorite grunt suit, and I'm gonna get several now that I have more experience in the hobby. One to redo and display, one to customize, and one to set up like Aker's unit. Then I'll get four more Over Flags and redo Aker's initial test suit, then the "big three" from season one. I still don't have all the title 00 series Gundams yet, and I'd rather have all the Flags first still.
I totally agree with you with that #1! I know some parts are flimsy, but I had tons of fun transforming it since everything transformed perfectly and it felt like a work of art. I was wondering how it worked while building it but when I was done I was super impressed. I think it transforms beautifully. My other favorite transforming gunplas are 1/100 Overflag and Hg Gundam AGE-2 Normal. AGE-2 did pretty well for being a HG of non-sandwich transforming gundam(It is a partsformer though). I also built a older version of the MG EX-S Gundam but I haven`t transformed it even once because I`m afraid of breaking something since those ABS joints are pretty stiff. Also, Mg Aegis had an horrible transformation. I`m not even sure if Bandai was trying since the waist armor doesn`t seem like it was intended to be transformed without taking it apart or breaking it, and I was pretty disappointed at how I had to extend the arms by pulling it just to a point where they won`t fall off. The aesthetics are great so I just keep it in a MS mode... Also I never built the RG Z Gundam but my friend who built it said he never transformed it since it`s going to fall apart.
@@MechaGaikotsu Nice to know you like the delta plus too! Yeah, it does suck hard, and the gunpla engineering for Unicorn kits in 2011 is mostly hit or miss. Still, the flight form is the real deal and do remember your own tip dude, glue everything up! Anyway, thanks for the vids man! Loving your reviews and opinions and really appreciate the hard work!
Killed it with the list. Gotta say ZZ is the cream of the crop transformation! I love it, and transform it every couple of months at work. I just looks so damn cool next to my Avalanche Exia. But now I'm tempted to get MG Zeta 2.0 and X-S to match him.
My personal favorite transformable HG kits are the simple no-partsformer ones like the Arios, Enact, Clanche, & Union Flag series over the partsformers like the HGUC Zeta/Delta series (Zeta Plus, Delta Plus, etc). AGE-2 (especially Magnum SV) is fine too since we can transform it to Strider without a partsformer, with only cramped legs as a result.
My favorite flight form transformations is as follows: 1. MG Zeta 2.0 - Non Parts former that isn’t loose when in the different forms, but a bit on the loose side during transformation. Can be as complicated as some MP Transformers though. 2. HG Flag / Brave - Non Parts formers, kinda does a yoga pose when transforming. 3. HG / MG Age II Magnum Ones that I like the look of, but the kits absolutely suck: 1. HG Delta Gundam Kai 2. HG Z Gundam II 3. MG Victory II ver Ka - Just one spot keeps it from being decent, the elbow joint design. The elbows just fall apart constantly when trying to pose the kit.
Got to repair/re-assemble an RG Zeta from a cousin's first Gunpla experience (missing the forehead jewel so it has no V-fin). Early RG Syndrome especially for the Zeta is true, so what's best to do after assembling it would be leaving it to one form (prefereably the wave rider mode for more stability).
Hey @Mecha Gaikotsu, I may be late at this but there's a HG model kit called the Loto Twin Set. It's a fully transformable kit that I can think of .... besides the HG Pysco Gundam.

really? I'm in the exact opposite camp. It is by far one of the worst kits I own.
Maybe it was just my version, but everything was loose, it couldn't pose because of the knee joints for the transformation literally making him jelly legs.
@@MHMtakeit It's more on you than the GunPla itself. Literally the only complains I see on the ZZ Ver.Ka is that it's not anime accurate.
Being the dude that grew up watching the Seed series, I'm happy that Aegis somehow made an appearance. Hell, almost all the MAs in Seed are fine as well. Didnt really like Gundam Savior tho
id be surprised if anyone even remembered the savior
Wing Gundam, Proto, EW and Epyon are my all time favorite transformable MS because its simple yet badass.
Get Wing Zero Snow Take Off it going to be one of the best transformations
Tat Wing ost still probably gives me goosebumps every time lol
Age 2, Dark hound and Age w magnum has one of the best transformations.
It's simple, yet it doesn't look lazy. It's sleek and doesn't have robot mode kibble. How could you not love AGE-2?
End of season magnum is just too good. The flimsiness ruined it tho.
You have to try Gaplant.. its perfect.. i preefer the green
@@snap_fit8686 How about Bawoo?
@@alfianfahmi5430 i chose gaplant .
You prepared your script so well men! Its hilarious! 😅🤣
Imagine not having Raid: Shadow Legends in your phone
The Re-Gz falling apart at the transformation was so accurate to the show.
BUT- JAJAJJAJAJAJAJAJJAJAjajjajja... Pffff JAJAJAJAJAJAJJAJJA
My best experience: Banshee norn rg.
Worst experience: funny enough, it's the aegis.
Rg Zeta . . . Rg Zeta 😱😱😱😱😱😱
For Aegis the MG or HG.
@@barrybend7189 the mg that I had just simply put fell apart on me.
@@ZonoYT I was asking as the HG is a proper transforming unit as well.
The idea that the Titans had a secret fleet of Gundams named after rabbits from a 20th century childrens novel is one of the more wonderfully bizarre aspects of Gundam.
Zeonbots roll out!
7:49 loved how the sound only comes from my LEFT earbuds
Lol raid shadow legend is everywhere now
everywhere except in our phones
@@razor911 agreed lol
7:49 I've never seen a gundam with an AK!!!!! that's hilarious
That ZZ Ver Ka looks beautiful! I wish I got into Gunpla when I had the money to spend on them!
That’s the EW Wing Gundam
Judau pilots the core fighter (the smallest 1) that forms the body of the ZZ gundam. The front cockpit of the fortress is detached from ZZ, being the double beam riffle.

Loving this kind of videos. Hope you pull more varied content soon!
Thanks for the video, again ^^.
Don't forget the perfect grade Zeta. Once you transform that thing once it is never the same
8:31
It's wing ew
Not wing zero ew
Yes. Zeroes have twin buster rifles and yellow cockpit windshield on its shield.
love how you matched the music of the gundam to the actual show
Just get a macross lol
I just got it but I love the thing, the HG Anksha. Transforms into a troop transport UFO. Personally I'm also a big fan of the Brave from Gundam 00 but I think it needs a reprint with its joint parts using that nice soft buttery plastic that some newer MG kits are using
>Says the Ex-S isn't a Partsformer
>All the Ex-S footage is him taking it APART to PUT IT BACK TOGETHER
The best Gundam transformation is actually the Metal Robot Damashii Zeta C1 Plus.
Another video with minimal effort research.
I guess I missed memo about Metal Robot Damashii being gunpla.
Mecha Gaikotsu It technically is, just pre-built
lol
Robot Damashii is actually gunpla but built from the factory
First of all that's rude.
Secondly, figures don't count since this is a Gunpla list.
Hg arios would be my best. Its almost full transformation for an hg kit which is very rare and you end up with a pretty impressive alt mode
Thanks for making this since I'm starting to collect gunplas
Also I never built the RG Z Gundam but my friend who built it said he never transformed it since it`s going to fall apart.
love the content keep up the good work!

So far the most satisfying kit transformed to flight form (the looks only) for me is the Delta Plus. I really liked it. And the Ex-S
The delta plus is one of my favourite mobile suits from unicorn. So bummed the MG is such a wreck. The flight from does look 👌
These transformations reminds me of my first transforming model kit - Lbx Odin
My personal favorite transformable HG kits are the simple no-partsformer ones like the Arios, Enact, Clanche, & Union Flag series over the partsformers like the HGUC Zeta/Delta series (Zeta Plus, Delta Plus, etc). AGE-2 (especially Magnum SV) is fine too since we can transform it to Strider without a partsformer, with only cramped legs as a result.
My favorite flight form transformations is as follows:
1. MG Zeta 2.0 - Non Parts former that isn’t loose when in the different forms, but a bit on the loose side during transformation. Can be as complicated as some MP Transformers though.
2. HG Flag / Brave - Non Parts formers, kinda does a yoga pose when transforming.
3. HG / MG Age II Magnum
Ones that I like the look of, but the kits absolutely suck:
1. HG Delta Gundam Kai
2. HG Z Gundam II
3. MG Victory II ver Ka - Just one spot keeps it from being decent, the elbow joint design. The elbows just fall apart constantly when trying to pose the kit.
HG Kyrios is one of my favorites. the leg design is awesome.
Would love more stuff like this, really informative imo.
Awesome transition to Raid shadow legends!
I might buy the third worst exclusively for the space ak
Hey @Mecha Gaikotsu, I may be late at this but there's a HG model kit called the Loto Twin Set. It's a fully transformable kit that I can think of .... besides the HG Pysco Gundam.
Real grade Zeta’s transformation isn’t all that bad, it’s just that his legs are horrible.
