My cousin is getting married in a couple of days so I decided to make him a pillow and his fiancée a beanie. Came across this video and decided to try it for myself, but instead of two colors, I did one mint green color with a fabric strawberry charm sewn on the side. This was a great tutorial and this was pretty easy to follow considering I haven't knitted in such a long time. I'm actually pretty proud of the result! Hope she likes it! :D

My first attempt at a hat wasn't great so this time I used a stretchy cast on (the German twist cast on) and a stretchy cast off (the Icelandic cast off) and rather that reducing, I just casted off and used a crochet hook to join the sides. Then like a purse, I used the crochet hook to sew in some extra thread and pulled it before tying it 3, times for security and I'm loving my hat!
Ur tip with turning the hat over to avoid the sewed parts showing on the outside really helped thanks!❤️👍

Summary (for knitting in the round):
    7 + 4 = 11in total length before decreasing k2p2
1st decrease row: for every 4 stitches, stitch together stitches 3 and 4
    k1p2 4 rows
2nd decrease row: knit together stitches 1 and 2 (using 1 2 3 4 pattern above, where 3 and 4 are now one stitch)
    k1p1 1 row
3rd decrease: knit 2 together for entire row
knit final row. Slip off stitches and close up by threading through cut yarn. weave in ends.
