    Thanks so much! I’ve been able to knit basic squares for years but never got further than that and recently got back into the hobby, I finished my first ever hat using this tutorial at 1am and I love it. I can’t wait to show my mam tomorrow when she wakes up!

    I LOVE YOU . THANKYOU for making this so easy to understand and dumbed down for people like me.! I don't have any memory capabilities since a brain injury so being able to count things and remmeber alternating stitches... just doesnt work... so thankyou for this easy to use way to make a hat for my babies!

    Thanks so much for these instructions. I have been trying to knit for years and wanted to make a hat without using circular needles. I had to use a different needle size since I could not get the gauge right, but your instructions were so easy to follow. I have been making hats now to use up my bits of yarn and have made over 8 of them so far and given them away. Thanks!!!

    Thanks so much! I learned how to knit in what my Mom called the ‘German way’ many years ago. I learned much later that it is called Continental Knitting. It is very different than the North American way and I found it so confusing trying to learn different techniques because no one seemed to knit the way I did! But you do!

    I didn’t have the needles to sew sooo I used my fingers and it turned out fine so if you don’t have the sewing needles don’t think you can make this 😊

    This is exactly what I needed! I'm making a tiny hat for a doll because I make dolls and I wanted her to have a hat and circular needles don't come this small so this is perfect! And I didn't want to have to use toothpicks this double-sided needles¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thanks!

    I followed this tutorial without realising I had 4mm needles and now the width of my beanie is too short 😩 is there a way I can add width to the rectangle??

    What about using 2 strands of worsted weight #4 together so it’s warmer? What size needle should I use?

      If you want to make the weave more dense, with two strands so its warmer, you could try it with 6mm needles and see if its comfortable to work with. I would just go with whichever needles gave the tightest gauge while still being easy to knit with
