Hi - Nice points. After 35 years of Capoeira I'm getting into the rope - it's very similar to dance and capoeira Angola movement. I found that when I started the main or even only thing was over compensating with my dominant hand. Thanks hope bomb into you one day
First of all, thank you. I tend to exercise based on stabilizing my shoulders. I've done a lot of functional exercises such as Persian Meel, Clubbell, and Bulgarian Bag, and I've recently become interested in Flowrope, so I'm practicing it. I think this video has become a pretty good teaching for me. Have a nice day today. :)
I recognise some of these rope flow movements from rope skipping as a kid, like figure 8. So you probably can, although both 'disciplines' have evolved a lot from my childhood tricks so you probably have to train both before integrating them
This is the best warmup and cooldown for a good jump rope set. And yes, after you’ve got some move down smoothly, try incorporating it into your jump rope routine
I started rope flowing while urban inline skating and Unicycling a few months ago and really enjoying it so far. Thank you for all the hints, and sharing! Very helpful!! 🤩🤸♀️
Very good tipps, been rolling rope for some time now and got new motivation to try all these new patterns for more fun in the movements. Thanks Timmothy
Great video! Been rolling the ropes for a year now, and I always go back to the basics. And I always need to remind myself to go slow and feel the rope and be one with the rope. 😍
Not sure if you're aware but the way you have the rope over your neck and torso is an excellent way to gauge the correct rope length for your body type. I just discovered this by checking with my own rope. It sat almost identically to yours 👍
Thanks for this! I’m just getting started, and there are some good tips there. I think listening to the rope is going to be a good thing. And I actually, even though I’m really just beginning, noticed in my movement just walking across the room last night I think, that some of the rope movement was influencing my movement! It was kind of cool.
BRILLIANT - THANK YOU 😃 Discovered you through SS 🙏 Subscribed and following. Tim, this is inspiring practice and commitment. Have been ill long term (>15 years) - am gradually stronger. Rope flow looks accessible and achievable. Simple (not easy) to progress in 🙏 Take away; excited and take it slowly ❤️
Hi, Tim -- thanks for a great video! I'm just starting with rope flow but I may have been overly ambitious to think I can jump right in as I'm still recovering mobility after surgery to repair a broken wrist. I was hoping rope flow could help get my wrist moving more freely but it's been a bit of a challenge. Can you recommend ways to start practicing when you don't have full wrist motion on one side? For now I'm doing what I can and taking it slow! Thanks :)
Dude great content man. Thanks for making this. Invaluable guidance for someone like myself who is brand new about to embark on my rope-flowing learning-journey! Many thanks Tim for sharing your own lessons learned & wisdom.
You should put up a red "X" on the incorrect form, and put up a green check mark on the correct form. I know it's obvious to you, but I could not always tell which is the correct form in your video.
@@Tims_Gym I'll just Google biometrics. I guess I don't understand the point of it is. I was looking into jump roping and then this came up. Appreciate it
Great timing, bought the rope from you then shattered my wrist so starting back this week and the great tips will help.
Cheers

Agree with all!! I happened to start on my patio with sliding glass door- works great for a mirror!!
Ah nice a window is a good idea!

Does anyone here use these movements in their jump rope routines? I am getting a flow rope and think this will cross over to my jump rope workouts.

Excellent. As an absolute beginner it seems I need to exaggerate my shoulder and back movements to get it right.
Yes youre so true!
For me the joy is in the way the rope is providing pain relief...

Nice, I am happy this helped motivate you =]
Hi Tim, no matter what I try (loose grip) my rope always tangles or twists. Thanks

Thanks Melda, that's it!
Thank you

Excellent tips as ever Tim, especially truth for self. Continuing to improve & find more flow. Thanks ♾

Really good video! Do you have a video class?
What rope flow movements do you think would help with ice/rollerskate spinning? 😅

Lovely Video! And slow is smooth and smooth is fast is always my number one motto ! Keep it up
You know it Tjala!
Nice video. Thank you for the advice 👍🏾😎
Very welcome!
What size rope and what length usually works? I'm 5-09" tall
Great video. Thanks, Tim.
how do i choose a rope?

if you have bad posture would this help or would it just reinforce a bad posture. (like forward neck and rounded shoulders)
It could help but I would also recommend some swiss ball work too
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Once you get proficient, is it ok to do it with your eyes shut?
How long has this been around ?
5 years or so with more awareness
So this isn't jump rope for exercise
Nope we don't jump the rope, this is Rope Flow for Biomechanics
