  • I have developed a real interest in the middle and upper jurassic in the last couple of years and especially in Yorkshire where it is not as well known as the toarcian exposures of whitby. I was lucky enough to be invited along for a field trip to this working quarry by a friend who negotiated the permissions to explore a new working section of the quarry to see if we could find any amoeboceras ammonites from the glosense subzone.

Probably not to this one unless they let us know they've suddenly hit some layers with ammonites in.

Certainly not for a while.. it's going to be a few years before they get down to the layers described by Wright.
