- Tribute to Heteromorph Ammonites, everybody’s favorite asymmetrical cephalopods. Music and photos belong to their respective owners not me. #emotional #fossil #fossils #history #nature #paleontology #prehistoric #science #slideshow #tribute #Anomalocaris
devonian hairstyles were cool asf
This video should be seen by millions, drawings and fossils are all we have, anything like that once lived like that, may have yet to be seen and is still around today. Optimist Enthusiasm is my bend.
What if these weren't species, but just rebellious teen ammonites
Nature's saxophone
This fills me with so many different kinds of nostalgia, some I'm not even sure why.
God bless the algorithm 🤘
Why this feel like a youtube video from 2007
youtube obviously thinks something about me to have recommended this, but I don't know what it could be. either way, I liked it
Stillborn caught me so offguard
They probably made crazy jazz with those horns
This is way more catchy than it has any right to be.
Badass
This gives me hope for some reason
You should do siphonophores next
these things look cool as hell
This video unironically goes hard
@@EndreaiYT this comment unironically goes hard
Giggling at this rn
Something about the paperclip look
I presume the main function of those odd shapes was to make the animal hard to swallow and possibly for camoflage.
Believe it or not but it was usually for buoyancy control!
Mostly buoyancy control as far as we’re aware. These animals could only really survive in forms where their center of buoyancy and center of mass were balanced in a way that let them actually move. These creatures were kinda like functional stepping stones on the path to the optimized, tightly curled shells of modern ammonites such as the nautilus.
They evolved from ancestors with straight shells, they had to take all sorts of weird forms to remain buoyant on the path to the spiral shells of the nautilus.
@@modelvp2405 that’s mostly correct but be careful of falling into the “perfect path” myth of evolution. If there was one perfect shape to be in order to be an ammonoid, all ammonium’s would look like that. They were a diverse group of organisms who had different shell shapes to suit their lifestyles and niches. A hair pin shaped heteromorph ammonoid is not less adapted or evolved than a spiral shelled one similar to a nautilus, it is simply adapted for a different sort of lifestyle. Nautilus are actually only distantly related to ammonoids, they just happen to create shells similar to some ammonoids and so are a good proxy for studying certain aspects of ammonoid life such as how some may have moved
Great 🎉
Nipponites my beloved ❤️
"Tribute to Anomalocaris" ahh video
Bro is a RUclips's living fossil
Biggest compliment I’ve gotten
Love cinnamon rolls!
ancient clippy
i wanted to search a guide for DS remastered but saw this on my home page so i had to stop to watch it
You made the right choice

Thank you for introducing me to these goofiest of goobers
where did you get these pictures of me
can you do waptia fieldensis next please
I got you bro
And some of those crazy looking echinoderms from the Palaeozoic like blastoidea and their relatives, please!
And the earliest cordates & vertebrates would also be okay....
This Video was great, I just love old sea life Fossils, especially from Devonian, Carboniferous and Cambrian.
I hate evolution sometimes cause this is what we could've had. Instead we have BORING NORMAL spirals 😒😒😒 (/s I love you modern ammonite you're literally perfect)
This stuff looks like you would dream in LSD... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is not the best cephalopod video in the world. This is just a tribute.
One of my favorite animals ever ever
Wonder where you get that idea from.
The fossil record
@@PaleozoicEnthusiast nvm.
Turns out that putting crap rock music over a slideshow of a bunch encyclopedia page google image results is a pretty easy "video" to replicate. Would be pretty embarrassed even try to claim it as an original idea if that' was the result of my creativity.
@@paulybeefs8588Who do you think you are bro. Look at your little hype playlist. How are you gonna insult this when you have your fruity playlist on your channel. At least Paleozoic Enthusiast has a good taste in music. You don’t even make content how are you going to insult his, calling it lazy and embarrassing, I would love to see you do any better. What’s really embarrassing is this reply you left.
@@Tro2009 Not sure if we found the "content" creator himself or his angry angry boytoy, but someone's mad😂
The only way someone could possibly think that combining two pieces of unrelated content by putting an Ozzy song on top of google photo results is making new "content" is if they had extra chromosomes. It's also the only explanation for why someone would categorize the commercial rehashing of a washed up moaning geriatric as "good taste in music" when the rest of the world moved from Ozzy three decades prior.
Don't forget the special safety helmet and mittens that mom left out when you're rocking out to dad's special boomer rock and the google photo results for "heteromorph ammonite"😂
music basically copied from the immigrant song by led zeppelin
I WISH THAT ALL MY TAXES WENT TO COOL GEOMETRIC AMMONITES MARVELS INSTEAD TO DIRTY CORRUPT POLITICANS 😭😭😭
cool
REAL SHIT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
