    The animators did a real good job portraying the ammonites

    One of the surprising standouts from the show. Awesome how much love they got in their weird and wonderful forms. Amazing group of super successful animals. Absolutely magical/bizarre looking creatures. The scene from the first season in one of my favourites, the ammonite garden scene is just cool to see the weird and wonderful brought to life, the Globidens scene with them is one of the most interesting speculative hunting behaviours in the show, and finally they baby scene is so weird and slightly eldritch, I love it. And honestly, I just love how much this often background species got.

    It is beautiful seeing these animals come to life pn the screen in such detail and with such care 🥹. I love that even more than the dinosaurs

    Unlike what most people think I believe the ammonite scene as to be some of the best! Specifically the one with all the weird species. Not the Globidens one because it’s one of the most inaccurate scenes

    • @cmbxp5960
      @cmbxp5960 Год назад +2

      How is it inaccurate? The Globidens scene.

    • @DreadEnder
      @DreadEnder Год назад +5

      @@cmbxp5960 because the holes found in ammonites were likely caused by burrowing molluscs. The teeth of Globidens have pinpoint ‘spikes’ which were way smaller than the holes in ammonites and only in the back teeth. Not something that would be good to hunt ammonites. And their bite force was so huge they would have shattered any ammonites they bit into, not just releasing air. Also their sensory pits (found in all mosasaurids) were massive. So it’s likely they dug their snout into the sea bed for clams and other molluscs, then worked them to the back of their jaws where they were crushed. Look at the skeleton crews video as one of their members studies Globidens.
