Just want to leave a HUGE thank you to Melanie's family for leaving all of her wonderful videos up for us followers to continue to reference! This ripple blanket was the first project I ever completed as a novice crocheter. This would've never been accomplished without Melanie's careful explanation & bright spirit!! She was truly, truly inspiring! She lives on through the beautiful things she created and I am thankful I am still able to learn from her. She will be forever missed.💕

    Hi Melanie 😃
Just taking a moment to say thank you! I only watch a few RUclips contributor’s tutorials. One of my first crochet projects that were good enough to gift to someone were products of your basket tutorials. The recipients were very happy to have more original organisation vessels. Thank you!
You explain the processes, the why’s, the alternatives so beautifully and I feel as though you give us so much of your patience and time and skills. I cannot thank you enough for making it look so easy... which gave me the confidence to try things I found daunting. Very simply, thank you for being you! I love this ripple blanket and look forward to creating a few, as gifts. One of these days, I’ll actually, keep one of my crochet projects for myself. 😂 keep being awesome, please!

When I have to count a lot of stitches, I use locking stitch markers ever 25 stitches so that if (when lol) I lose count, I only have to count my 25s or since my last marker. You could also use safety pins.

This ended up not creating that little gap you get between your chain 3 and first double crochet. I use the stitch markers at the ends just to make sure I don't forget the two double crochets at the end.

Thank you so much for thoroughly explaining how to make this stitch. I've tried several times and always end up off. I almost threw in the towel. I will try again following your instructions 🤗

Bah!!!! After only 4 total dismantle and restarts (due to mess ups in the first chain row), it’s been smooth sailin’ ever since...🤷🏻‍♀️😂🤷🏻‍♀️😂
    And I LOVE this pattern!!!
That first row is a doozie, but it’s remarkable how easy it is, once you get that right!
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial... 💜
