My first successful ripple stitch blanket, thank-you so much, progressing nicely.
Thank you for your slow, calm directions and for your closeups of stitches.
Please don't stop making these easy to understand videos!!! Thank you so much!
I made several of these many MANY years ago, but now that I am a grandma I wanted to make one for my first granddaughter. Thank you so much for the very easy tutorial that helped to remind me how to do it. BTW I really like the zoom in feature as I can clearly see what you are talking about.
This is always my go to ripple pattern. Thank you for explaining so well. 🙏
Such an easy guide for a beginner to follow! My mom taught me the basics of crocheting (chains, single crochet, double crochet, etc.) when I was younger and I recently got back into it. If anyone is looking for a great informative guide, this one is where you need to be!
I also enjoyed the reference to hills and valleys because it made it visually understandable and clear.
Thank you!
Since this is my first crochet project as an absolute beginner, i found this really helpful, i would definitely recommend this channel, all the other tutorials I’ve watched were a little too fast or confusing for me to understand, she goes through each step one by one and does explain it slowly, it’s honestly one of the better channels for crochet tutorials I’ve found recently, thank you so much for making these tutorials so easy to understand!
This is the first one that I felt like I can do this, and not whimpering in a corner instead!! Thank You! I like it when you zoom in to your work.
If I wanted to make a blanket 48" wide, could you suggest a starting chain? How many multiples of 14? I know you lose some width after the starting chain. I'd be using a 5.5mm hook and red heart super saver yarn. Thanks 😊
Same!!!!
Did you end your 2nd row on a valley? If so what did you do to finish that row and start the next
Totally agree with all mentioned. Love this creator and wish she would come back.
Same, love this tutorial
I absolutely LOVE the way you show how to do things! So patient and clear and you do it along with us! Thank you❤
This was truly the easiest way I learned from u 🙏 thank you
I still love this channel and the instructor. I hope all is well with her and hope she also knows how much I appreciate her totally doable instructions. Thanks so much 👏🏻💕👏🏻
I’ve been crocheting for years and never cracked this pattern, I was always confused where the stitches should go and it looked ‘off’.. this is a brilliant tutorial. Many thanks,
Me too
It’s a rhythm, and as soon as you get the stitches, you fly through the project! Very well done, thank you!
I keep ending my 2nd row on a valley and not sure how 2 finish the row and start the next 1
@@Gagazoot I keep ending my 2nd row on a "valley" and not sure how to finish it off or start the next row any ideas
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I’ve tried so many times to do this pattern and failed, after watching yours for 5mins I’ve finally managed to do it 🤩
Amen 👍🧶❤️
Your crochet videos are the best! I love how you zoom way in and show the bumps in the beginning and how to count where to put the needle. Figuring that out was a challenge for me with other tutorials as a total newbie! Your explanations with your camera angle and repetition are perfect for teaching!! I am grateful for your time and skill!
Thank you , you explained it perfectly and now I have a blanket started. My Gramma will be so proud of me!!!
Your references to a mountain and a valley made this super amazing to follow!!! Thank you!!! You're awesome and don't let anyone tell you you aren't!!
Love this...…….do you also have a written pattern? Thank you for all you do. HUGS!!
I've watched many crocheting videos over the past 10 years. I have to say you did a fantastic job recording and explaining this pattern. Well done.
This is the first crochet project I have felt comfortable enough to attempt and it's so simple once you get the pattern. I am loving the progress I've made so far and know this will be a pretty blanket once it's done :) thank you so much for this easy to follow tutorial!
Finished my very first ripple pattern QUEEN size blanket for my husband, using this video... thank you! You are my favorite online crochet instructor! ❤
Colie Myers how many skeins of yarn did you use and how many single stitches did you use to start with??
@@andreaquery3844 I used 4.5 of a color changing yarn, then 6 of regular solid colors, so it was 10.5 altogether (the color changing yarn had more yarn in them, however)...& I didn't count out my length, I just counted 14 each section until I reached my length I wanted (I used my own queen bed as reference, & when I finally reached edge to edge on my bed, I simply just added another 14 (so it has enough room to "hang" some over the edges) & left it at that...I don't remember how many 14's I counted, though)
Thank god for people who have patience and make the time to do these types of videos. I’m not one to read instructions well anymore
I’m making baby blanket for my cousin who having a baby girl in May and I’m thinking of doing some more blankets for my family this Christmas. :)
Your no going slow at all this was Very helpful for a beginner like me 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I'm near to ending my blanket, now, it looks fantastic, thank you.
FINALLY!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! I've 🐝 really struggling with this pattern. You have done a phenomenal job breaking each step down. Thank you, it finally makes sense.
I am crocheting a blanket for every grandchild I have with a different pattern. I like to challenge myself. I just started crocheting and I am using You tube videos to teach myself. I love this pattern and you made it so easy. Thanks. I know my granddaughter will love her blanket when it is done.
Thank you for this video. I am a beginner/intermediate and every other video showing this stitch I was struggling with...after watching and following yours I am half way through making my first blanket 😃 subscribed 👍
OMG I LOVE how you teach!!! I have looked and looked and looked for tutorials for ripple stitch blankets. I have watched lots and lots and always get so frustrated because the person is crocheting to fast and it isn't close enough to see what stitch they are going in. Anyway I can't wait to get started on my blanket following your directions!!! Thank you thank you!!!
thank you so much. i needed a baby gift in two weeks. your instructions are so clear and helpful.
You’re an excellent teacher! First chevron pattern I’ve gotten. Thanks 😊
I have been looking for a new zig zag that I call these kind of Afghans or blankets, and everyone else's video talk to fast or you can't see what they are doing as they explain what there doing. It's so frustrating. I saw yours and gave it a try, and I said to myself it's about time someone does it right! I love when you zoom in and how you explain it so clear. Thank you thank you so much! 👍 🔔
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
P S, I will try to up load a picture of my blanket when I'm done ❤
I have tried at least 8 other wavy/chevron stitch methods/videos and was about to give up. Stitches never added up (for me at least). I did your demo and it worked wonderfully. I will soon become a first-time granny and am now going to buy wool to make this. Thanks so much for your patience and careful explanations.

I am doing this as my first non-straight line pattern. So far it has been quite enjoyable and easy to do. I will post a picture of the finished product when it is completed. Thank you for sharing your talent!
This was a super helpful tutorial girl! I'm actually making a scarf, not a blanket, lol but this tutorial is working fabulously for the scarf! Thanks so much!
As a beginner who has just learned to crochet, I am glad you go slower. I have seen other beginner ones where they do it at slow speed and then make the video speed up, which leaves me confused. I am looking forward to doing this.
Love this pattern. I make blankets for Hospice and for Project Linus and this pattern is great truly quick and easy. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your patience in explaining how to start crocheting technique by using “down the valley and up the mountain”! Years ago my Mom taught me this crochet design technique but forgot and every so often I have tried but couldn’t get it right... Now that you have showed me I can use it for my various crochet items... Again, thank you for sharing and giving your wonderful lesson and looking forward to seeing more of your insightful videos...
Back in the days, it was called hills and valleys. We skipped one to make the valley. You put 3 doubles in one stitch top to make the hills. This brought back memories.
Thank you so much-instructions are clear, helpful and easy to follow.
Thank you for this tutorial 😊. I really appreciated your taking the time to really explain each step and show each stitch as I am a complete novice! Looking forward to making my first zigzag Afghan! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
You're my favorite crochet channel! I've made this very afghan and it was very easy! About to make another!
Thank you for a simple and easy to follow chevron pattern! I'm working my second and third lap blankets for two of my grands with this!
I love the way that you explained it, I have always been kinda iffy about whether or not I could do this, but I'm going to try it using your tutorial and hopefully I will, thanks
I just found this video! I can crochet a ripple stitch! Thank you!
One of the easier ones that i watched and understood. Thank you
This is an excellent learning video! Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing ❣️. You've made it so clear and easy. I have MS and I need these simple and easy patterns

Thank you for this making a last minute baby shower gift this is perfect very clear instruction for beginners with basic knowledge
I think you are a very good teacher, I learn more from you than other video. Thank you so much.
I wished you had more crocheted videos. I've watched tons of Chevron stitch videos and this one was the best one. I admit I miscounted the first time but I gave it another shot to this video and it's been the best so far to explain everything. Thank you so much
You explain very well . I like it when you zoom into your work...we can see exactly what you are doing .
Excellent video. Your instructions are crystal clear and very easy to follow. Thank you.
Once again I can follow this so easily. You show us so well - not too fast and giving us close ups...thanks so much.

Thank you sooooo very much for your Awesome video !!!!
Your video is the only one I’ve watched that has what I needed to know.
Easy, not complicated at all !!! ❤❤❤ Thank you ❤
Your voice, the video and information along the way is wonderful ! !
Love that you use the back bone of the chain, and that the pattern is easy and looks great !!!
Thank you again for doing what you do 🥰❤️☕️☕️💕
My friend was supposed to make a chevron blanket and lost her instructions lol 😂 so she knew I crocheted 🧶 (granny sq blankets, I call them grandma hugs and give them to my grandchildren). I have never chevron before. I have spent 2 weeks watching and trying videos on this. Nothing worked. I have constantly undone that work, several times 🤪
With your video I have started and I know the stitches that I need to do. Easy, LOVE ❤️ your video and voice.
Thank you sooo very much again ❤️👍🥰🧶
Great teacher, new to your channel I'm going to start a baby blanket for my new grand due in a couple of weeks. Thank you
Thank you im trying to crochet one for my boyfriend and your video was very helpful
New Sub. Thank you for your video. I crochet for six years, here and there. I love this pattern so much, I still have problem putting the double stitches together. Thank you again :)

Very helpful showing work up close, thank you for that.
Loved this video it was super helpful on how to do everything and it is a easy project to practice with as I am getting back in to crocheting and am definitely a beginner
Always wanted to know how to do this wavy blanket. Your instructions are very simple. Thank you so much.
5:20. This is random but I’m just marking my place to take a break for a few hours!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😁❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I love this video!!! It’s really helpful!!!
Love this Afghan, you make it look so easy. I really want learn. And you sound so easy.

Thank you sooooo much.... it totally makes sense!!!! I have always wanted to learn this, and now I’m going to try it!!!! Xoxoxo MUA!☺️
Thank you so much for sharing I have started a throw for my sister using this stitch. You made a very nice video to learn from. Again thank you and look forward to learning more. 😁
Loved your video and the way you teach... after yrs of trying, I think I've got it!!
I love this video! I think you are a great teacher and I like the zoom for a better look. I am glad you don't got so fast, thank you so much, can't wait to try this patteren.
Thank you love the zooming in and very detailed.
Wow you made this make since. About 3 years ago I tried to follow another pattern for this kind of blanket, but it would have you count differently. It really threw me off. Long story short, I messed up the counts and never finished it. I think I will try your technique and am sure I will get a finished product. Thank you so much!
Nice way to work crochet 3 tog. I wasn't familiar with that. Thank you ;)
I’m looking @ your blanket video it looks similar to my Grandmothers chevron blanket. I’m looking to do another version of her blanket. I’m going to try to work your pattern. In hopes it turns out just like hers. Thank you for sharing your pattern. Very descriptive video 👍😊❤️
Danielle Olivieri.. I had a hard time too. I just kept trying! Then I got it. I paused everytime she gave chain 5 instructions. Make sure you are chaining 14 over and over until you get the length you want. Don't forget adding on the extra 4 chains! My frustrations were she is an excellent instructor so I knew I was getting lost on my own! Try again. You will love this pattern!
This has been the best so far. I finally understand the ripple stitch. Thank you

Omg finally after 4 times because of u I finally figure it out thank u
Ur video was easy to follow. I really appreciated the time u took to explain it. I also liked when u zoomed in to show the stitch u were doing. I will definitely be subscribing to ur channel. I can't wait to watch some more of ur videos. 😁
This video was fantastic! It’s my first time making a blanket and I’m so stoked because it’s coming out so well!! Thank you for your GREAT details that you give. You’re so easy to follow! New subscriber!!
Thank you so much for this! How does one add a border so that it isn't zigzagged on top and bottom?
You just add 2 or 3 rows of the border
I did 2 rows of the boarder and I am satisfied how it turned out, great 📹
@@VeronikaCheb honestly I don't know how to do borders yet so how do you do 1?
@@ashleydawdy358 first row single crochet all around the blanket than you add 1 row of cute patterns, you may check other videos on RUclips just put in the search box "how to crochet a boarder on a blanket" hope that is helpful
@@VeronikaCheb okay thank you dear
This is the best video I have seen in along time thank u
I just subscribed to your channel. I was looking on You Tube for crochet tips and projects and came across this. I plan to make a blanket for my daughter using this pattern. Thanks for posting this!
Thankyou! Love this. Following along and getting the hang of it
I think I got this! Instructions were easy to follow!
Awesome tutorial! Thanks for posting. Love the effect of your edge. I found that if you pinch the outer loops together the midflrbone stand up and it's much easier to find. :-)
Are you dc'ing into "humps" throughout the whole tutorial? It looked like in the chain foundation that you switched from the "hump" to the top stitch? Can't wait to try this one, thank you!!
Thanks you for this☺️👍🏻 now I can do it!! Have a great day ☺️☺️
Ok cool and going slow IS awesome lol im a slow learner... once i learn it awesome but usually i have to watch 3to6 times
Was every easy to learn can't wait to make a blanket thank!!!
Thank you so much for your Video it was good and well explained it really helped me. I am a real newbee.
