Crystal, I knew I wanted a granny chevron stitched baby blanket, but I started following another crochet genius’ tutorial. Kinda got lost, was unhappy with the edges, etc….then I found your tutorial. Well, that goes to prove that I am totally and completely dependent on you for the crochet work I do. I can’t follow anyone else!! With this pattern, your valley stitches pull together perfectly and don’t leave any gaps. I like how you’ve started with a neat row of single crochet for the first row. Anyway, once again and always, I love how you teach and I worship your designs. Thank you, Crystal!!
I like the way you make the foundation chain more sturdy by doing the 3 dc all together. I have been crocheting for over 50 years but you have created new techniques to make all patterns easier and better! So thankful I found your channel 💘. God bless you and your family. That is another area of your success. You are a fine example of business ownership and being a wife and mother!! I have to say I just love you. I say that with great humility. 🙏🙋💓
Hi Crystal. I’m a nearly 80 year old - used to be a crocheted in my youth, picked it up just a few months ago. Like riding a bike😂. Love it and particularly love your tutorials! They’re so clear - you go at my speed - you’re interesting and I so enjoy the variety of stitches and patterns you show. I’m currently about to start a shawl in brown with gold flecks - doing mine in Annette Ericsson Frost. Should be look good. Thank you for all your helpful hints and colourful tutorials💕
Crystal, I’ve been going back and checking out your extensive list of tutorials while I am crocheting my most recent project. I am so amazed at the amount of content you have memorized in your hat covered head. You are by far my favorite crochet tutor and I am so proud and happy to have you for my teacher. Thanks for all you do and for keeping it free. I am on a fixed budget as a retiree, so you are very much appreciated. OMG that cake of yarn is so beautiful.
THANK YOU!! I have been crocheting for the past 2 months but I still don't understand how to read patterns. This really helped me to understand. thank you!!
Simone here from Perth, Western Australia. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your creations and the way you teach your tutorials. You’re so clear & concise in how you deliver the tutorials. Camera work is wonderful. I can see everything you do. I really enjoy listening to your voice as well. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Keep up the wonderful work. Kind regards 🙏😊🧶
I like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Never have been able to do any chevron blanket of any time without messing up. Don't know what I would do without you, sending you a big hug I can finally make one. Doing one with anniversary cake and one blue and white for my great grandson. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart again. Please don't leave. U Tube
I am not even through watching this video and i dont have my yarn in my hand but i know i am going to love doing this tutorial. I like how you talk through each step rather than skipping to the end of the. I am a beginner so it helps me to work with you more as you do each step! I love your voice too... the skip, skip made me smile :)
I think they Chocolate Fountain is gorgeous. Thank You for showing how to do this. Saw this stitch somewhere else and they were charging to show how to do it. Your project turned out beautiful! Thanks Crystal!
A ripple pattern was the first one I learned to follow and has always been my go to pattern. This is a nice take on the ripple pattern very versatile indeed ❤️
I saw this tutorial when you first posted it Crystal. Got some yarn gifted to me, Caron Baby Cakes 4 weight, color PETALS. I just started making it and love how it is turning out. Thank you Crystal 💜🙏🤗🧶
you didnt waste much time with that jumbo ball. Its so nice, wish my old hands worked as well as they used too.The yarn is pretty, love earth colours.Clever girl!!! Love Pat
I am so happy you did this tutorial. I am not going to watch it right now because I'm going to watch it when I make it! But I am definitely using your Chevron because this is exactly what I wanted. I do have a Chevron I made for pride a few years ago when I was first learning how but this is a style that I actually wanted! You rock you rock you rock! Thank you. I will probably be watching this multiple times all the way through! Thank you so much thank you thank you thank you
I just happened to log into RUclips and this was waiting for me. I’ve been looking for a lapghan/afghan pattern for a friends husband ( have already made afghans for my girlfriend and their daughter. I’ve the yarn ( Loops & Threads Impeccable, Stillness , J-Hook ). And this is perfect! Grabbed the yarn, followed along, and now I’m off and running. Thank You Crystal.
I’m currently making an Afghan from a anniversary cake from last year but I am going to go and buy two so that I can make this pattern. I really like it. Thanks for teaching it.👍🏾🤗 🦮
My daughter in law wants a temperature afghan to celebrate her year of turning forty. This pattern is perfect! We plan to use #4 yarn and do a row every 3rd day for the year. She is still deciding her colors and temperature ranges.
It’s beautiful I love the colors…I only know how to loom knit…….I just finished making a hat to go with my arm warmers…..now I’m going to make a scarves .🧣 to go with my hat and arm warmers
I think seems easy enough, gosh, you are so good with your demonstrations. I have so much yarn and didn’t know what to do with them now I have so many patterns from you that I think I can pretty much make anything with them now. Thank you so much you got me out of a crochet rut! Now I have to get more coordinating yarn or even some new yarn maybe and get going!
By far the EASIEST chevron pattern I have ever tried and the prettiest! It looks and feels wonderful and the edges are so straight!! I am using all my leftover partial skeins of 4 ply yarn and holding 2 strands together to make one of these and just simply change from one skein to another as I run out of one. Just AWESOME!
This blanket is so much fun to make. Thank you, I don't like to make things that take days and hours upon hours to make, so this one was great. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I have been looking for a pattern to make a blanket for my almost 8 year old granddaughter. This is it. Thank you Crystal !!! This is amazing. She will love it.
So I have about ten of these cakes in different color ways laying around that I got when they were clearanced out. I'm really happy you shared this pattern because I've been wanting to make a blanket in them for a while and I love chevrons and granny squares. Well done you for taking the time to do this. 👍
I am watching it and thinking that tomorrow I will go to Michaels to buy two anniversary yarns. I will use my 40% off coupon. When I have time tomorrow I will watch it again and follow along😊 Thank you for taking the time to share this pattern.
I’ve watched a bunch of your videos today while doing other things. I know….boring. But I’d like to say to you that no matter what you are making- you break it down so it’s understandable AND you are the best cheerleader there is. You are down to earth as well as being an original. Thank you for starting this channel and I hope it’s helped you out half as much as it’s helped us.
What a gorgeous afghan! The color, the #6 yarn and your skills came together for an absolutely lush and snuggly looking piece! I bet there will be more than one family member who loves wrapping themselves up in it! Thank you, Crystal for another wonderful tutorial! ✌️💕🍁🐌🐸
Crystal I love this pattern.😍. I have had several skeins of bulky yarn I bought a year ago and have tried several patterns and none of them appealed to me. Your pattern piqued my interest, so I gave it a try. I must say this is the first one I can actually see me finishing, after several starts, frogs and putting it back in the cupboard. Thank you🤗🤗🤗
I’ve made two of these blankets so far. They came out great! Gave them as gifts. These Caron cakes were on sale at Michael’s so I just got a couple more to make a third blanket - might keep it for myself this time. I added a round of single crochets all the way around to give it a finishing border. I love it!
@@Maurie58 For what I think of as a throw blanket size (about 50 in x 60 in), it took about a cake and a half. Maybe a cake and 2/3. And I used an 8mm hook. But a single cake would definitely make a lap blanket or a kid’s blanket.
I haven't made a ripple blanket in so long, but this is an excellent project for those **beautiful** new Anniversary cake colorways! This is exactly what I'm going to make with the two purple ones I ordered! The last afghan I made with the Anniversary cakes was just a simple V Stitch and it works up SO fast because of the bulky yarn and a nice big hook. I really like the "feel" of this yarn too because it's soft enough for a nice blanket, but also heavy so it's very cozy!
This is a nice and different ripple appearance. Definitely one to give a shot to see if I do like it as much as my other ripple or chevron as I believe others call it. Thanks for giving me a kick to try it. Maybe some type of square to test it. Hugs 🤗 😇
I came back for a little "re-fresher" on this tutorial. I am making my third blanket with this pattern. I LOVE the way that you teach this. It is such a gorgeous pattern. Thank you so, so much Crystal!
This cake reminds me of the sparkly plate/bowl you bought today at the garage sale. Need to finish the "Johnny" chrysanthemum afghan first. You finished this quick. Thank you.
After watching your yarn review for this yarn I broke my promise not to buy anymore yarn and used Michael's 20% off coupon code to buy this exact one; it looked much better in your video than in their photo. I wasn't sure which throw blanket pattern I was going to use to make for my momma, but this is perfect. Thank you so much!
Just started making this pattern and I absolutely love it. Took me a few minutes to figure out the repeat, but I think I got it. Making a blanket for my mom, and I’m going to try to do this in 3 different colors. Thank you Crystal for this tutorial. 😀

Thanks Crystal. I was looking for something quick and came across this pattern. It's coming together so fast.
So easy for me to follow as a dyslexic girlie, but also you have the authority of a crochet drill sergeant

Just ordered my cakes from Michaels and going to make this for my living room throw
I love this one and I think this is the stitch I plan to use. Thank you so much
I haven't done a granny ripple yet. I may have to do this one using bernat blanket yarn. Thanks Crystal!
I love your teaching style.... so articulate. Easy to follow and encouraging me to try ... Thank you and God Bless
